Blended with KITH Treat’s vanilla ice cream, the doughnuts help make amazing ice cream swirl or a milkshake at all domestic Kith Treats flagships—Brooklyn, SoHo, Miami and Los Angeles until January 25.
Classic yeast versions of the doughnut coming in special packaging will be available at Doughnut Plant’s LES, Downtown Brooklyn, Williamsburg, and Queens locations until January 24.
Funk Flex isn’t holding back his opinions lately. Toronto rapper Drake along with Jay-Z has been getting disses from Flex.
Checking into the Million Dollaz Worth Of Game podcast, radio host Funk Flex exposes his private convo with Jay-Z. During the conversation, hosted by Gillie Da King and influencer Wallo267, the Hot 97 disc jockey shared the alleged reason why Hov stays off of social media.
While referring to the private convo Flex says, “You know he wants me to tell you why he can’t be on social media.” He continues, “‘He’s the most sensitive motherf*cker on the planet and he can’t take n***as in his comments telling him the truth.”
Young Thug was talking with Gillie Da Kid on the latter’s Million Dollaz Worth Of Game podcast and the Atlanta rapper proceeded to jump out the window, figuratively. While bragging that he had 30 songs that would make the crowd go crazy at his shows in arenas, he then proceeded to add that “Jay-Z ain’t got 30 songs like that.”
Now Thugger said that with the utmost confidence. But the look on Gillie’s face said it all. But to be clear, the Philly rapper turned host also diplomatically added, “He got a lot, though.”
The tone, or maybe his thoughts catching up with what he just said, led Thug to walk back that wild statement instantaneously.
JAY-Z has officially tied with Quincy Jones for the highest number of Grammy nominations, with each music icon receiving a total of 80 nods.
Hov’s 2021 noms come from three of Beyoncé‘s 2021 Grammy nominations. He’s credited as a songwriter for “Black Parade,” which is running for Song of the Year and Best R&B Song, and “Savage,” which is up for Best Rap Song. This marks the fourth consecutive year wherein the Brooklyn rapper has received a Grammy nomination, and he last won an award in 2019 for Best Urban Contemporary Album (now known as the Best Progressive R&B Album) for Everything Is Love with Beyoncé.
Wayne has apparently been a fan of Jay-Z’s for a long time and even credits the rapper for influencing his career. In a recent conversation with Lil Baby, Wayne reveals which Jay-Z album influenced his music the most.
Wayne sat down for a chat with Lil Baby as part of Rolling Stone‘s Musicians On Musicians interview series. Throughout the conversation, Wayne opens up about some of his musical influences and named Hov’s fourth studio album as his biggest inspiration:
“Jay-Z, Life And Times Of Shawn Carter, plain and simple. It was the first album where I actually [bought] the car that the rapper was talking about. That was my album. […] Also, Jay talked so crazy. He went bananas on that album. I got lyrics from the album tattooed on me and sh*t. I have songs that are remakes of spinoffs of songs from that album.”
The Brooklyn rapper covers a lot on the ten track project. The opening number named after the album is a solid introduction with nice production and a good vocal lead that adds grit and personality to the song.
As the album progresses subjects from family conflicts and the struggles of life in the projects take center stage, with "My Pain" being a highly personal record from the artist. "Nva Know" is also a powerful number that expresses the deep rooted reality and past the artist has dealt with.
Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails, The Notorious B.I.G., T. Rex, Whitney Houston and The Doobie Brothers were all inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame on Saturday (11/7) during a virtual ceremony that's rewatchable on HBO Max.
Biggie was inducted by his longtime producer and Bad Boy Records label boss Diddy, who said, "Big just wanted to be biggest, he wanted to be the best, he wanted to have influence and impact people in a positive way, and that clearly has been done all over the world. Nobody has come close to the way Biggie sounds, to the way he raps, to the frequency that he hits. Tonight we are inducting the greatest rapper of all time into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame."
The Biggie segment also included archival interview and performance footage of Big, and Jay-Z, Nas, Lin-Manuel Miranda, and Biggie's family members also spoke about him as well.

2Pac was attempting to ignite total warfare against The Notorious B.I.G. This means anyone that stood next to Biggie was liable to be hit with a direct shot. Per Irv Gotti, that was the case when it came to 2Pac's issue with Jay-Z.
Irv made a recent appearance on Fat Joe's Instagram Live show, The Fat Joe Show, during which he touched on Jigga's tension with 2Pac. Gotti told Joey Crack that Hov got on 2Pac's bad side by having Biggie featured on "Brooklyn's Finest" from his debut album, Reasonable Doubt. On the track, Big makes a rare allusion to 2Pac by using his name in witty wordplay.
"Gotta go, Coolio mean it's gettin' Too Hot," Biggie raps after making a reference to "Who Shot Ya" earlier in the song. "If Fay' had twins, she'd probably have two Pacs/Get it? Tu... Pac's?" Per Gotti, allowing Biggie to get this off on his record put Hov in 2Pac's crosshairs.
