Which Song From Garth Brooks Inspire You The Most?

Garth Brooks has made songs for not only adults, but also for kids to. In the early 1990s, country music embraced Garth Brooks and a style known as New Country that infused the genre with many of the musical sounds and performance practices of stadium rock bands.

With this rock-influenced approach to making country music, Garth Brooks garnered unprecedented success. Brooks destabilized the idea that country was distinct and different from other genres with his open acknowledgement that he was drawing from rock roots.

New Country of the 1990s was not the first time that country and rock had intersected. In the mid 1950s, Elvis Presley and other early rockabilly stars emerged directly out of the country music industry.

All of these developments reinforce the idea that borrowing across genres is a time-honored source of innovation in all of popular music. Garth Brooks in particular, his public avowal of rock as a major influence ironically helped him become the biggest selling country artist of all time and injected country music with a boost in popularity.

So which song from Garth Brooks inspired you the most? What song can you relate to? This is a survey being held by the Wrap-Up Magazine. Leave your thoughts and feelings below!

[Video] Elektrohorse 'Po Folk X-Mas'

Produced by Elektrohorse from Chicago/California, “ Po Folk X-MAS”, is a heavy hearted Christmas song that rings true for many. Highlighting a not so glamorous Christmas.

Everywhere you look you see breathtaking Christmas lights, beautiful decorated reefs and joyous shoppers filled with holiday cheer. The air smells of freshly baked cookies and is filled with sounds of jingles, bells and familiar toons. With all this holiday bliss, it can be easy to forget that Santa won’t be making a stop down everyone’s chimney.

Hundreds of children around the world will be wondering why Santa forgot them?

Country music Dj Elektrohorse has a new holiday jam “Po Folk Xmas”. This is the untold story that actually shows you how messed up Santa truly is to less fortunate people. He is also assisted by hick hop artist Apalachee Don from Georgia, Terell Skreetzz from Sc and Babe Animal from Ga. Elektrohorse is signed to Create music, the same label as Marshmello.

Apalachee Don, from Monroe Georgia, has the first verse. Pointing all four fingers at Mr. Clause, blaming him for a shitty Christmas with the lyrics, “Mr. Ho Ho Ho trying to stop my fun”.

Why China Has The Fastest Growing Market For Music

China’s music market is one of the fastest growing markets in the world. If you don’t want to enter China, your music business is equal to “drop a big wallet”. The world’s most populous country, and their consumers’ pockets are bulging, and there is no reason why you should not come to China to do the music business.

China’s music media has many particularities due to historical reasons. It didn’t really form until the late 1980s. At that time, mainly music media are the newspaper, radio and television station.

In 1987, China’s first popular music magazine, “Audio & Video World”, was born, and the magazine was hailed as China’s “Rolling Stone” magazine(and later, it did,In 2006 They published a music magazine together, named “Rolling Stone China Edition”.but only one issue and forbidden by government ). Basic function as with “Rolling Stone”, as long as “Audio & Video World” magazine introduces artists, it must be famous and popular.

With the birth of “Audio & Video World” , many music magazines, such as X Music, Music Heaven, Modern Music Field,Hit Music, have been born. And also the TVs and radios were growing up before 2000, basically, all these music media were called music market orientation.

Source

TV stations, for example, are still a better platform, but they only recommend famous artists. For new artist, It is very difficult to get the chance to get exposure. So when you promote your artists and new music, you can choose some magazines such as “X Music ” ,”Q magazine Chinese edition”, “Easy Music World”,and even some foreign music magazine will also report it such as the Pump it Up magazine. They often focus on China music market.

Digital Music platform has music playing function and also an important platform for music sales. Currently the main platforms have the largest database of Chinese music fans. For example, QQ music, Xiami, Netease Cloud music. There are others platforms that can combine online and offline functions such as See Music, Street Voice, and crowd-funding platform Musi kid.

This kind of media is like linkedin, can build managements/labels and artists very professional relationships. Music dish China is a very strong music network in China.

Understand Whitney Houston And Dolly Parton Hit Song "I Will Always Love You"

Most fans of Whitney Houston today never knew she was connected to country music singer Dolly Parton. Dolly Parton and Whitney Houston will undoubtedly remain connected through their smash hit song “I Will Always Love You.”

"I Will Always Love You" was the second of five consecutive #1 Country hits that Parton had after establishing herself as a solo artist. Parton later recorded a second version of this song for the 1982 film The Best Little Whorehouse In Texas, which she starred in along with Burt Reynolds. The second version not only became a #1 Country hit (like the first version), but also became a crossover hit, reaching #53 on the Hot 100.

When this song was chosen for the 1992 film The Bodyguard, it proved to be a huge benefit for both Parton and Whitney Houston. For Houston, it provided her signature song, showcasing her otherworldly talents as a singer. Her version became a worldwide success in pop music, earning huge royalties for both artists. Dolly Parton's country ballad was now familiar to audiences of pop, soul, and adult contemporary.

Garth Brooks Pulls Out Of The CMA's

Garth Brooks won't compete for "Entertainer of the Year" at the Country Music Association Awards.

Brooks, a seven-times recipient of the top country music honor, said Wednesday that "it's time for somebody else to hold that award."

He last won CMA "Entertainer of the Year" in 2019, when some in country music fandom argued passionately for Carrie Underwood or Eric Church to earn the annual trophy.

'There's one tweet in there that really stuck in my head," Brooks said in a virtual press conference Wednesday. "It said, 'Hey, man. This guy, why doesn't he just step down (and leave) the entertainer for the next generation?' 100% agree."

Should Lil Nas X Be Enlisted As A Country Artist?

Why is Lil Nas X finding it hard to gain acceptance in the world of mainstream country mirrors? Influential black artists found it difficult to get airplay on country radio.

Lil Nas X's viral country rap hit "Old Town Road" soared to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Lil Nas X now has the ultimate revenge story as his song, "Old Town Road" which was pulled from Billboards country charts for not being country enough, is now the no.1 single in the country.

In a world where everything is racist, this goes to show how even the music industry has discrimination. Lil Nas X has introduced African Americans to a new sound of Country music which they have come to love.

Who am I to tell Billboard that "Old Town Road" is Country and deserves it's spot. Many blacks of today's generation didn't even know who Billy Ray Cirus was unless you talk about Miley Cirus.

We can now say that all cultures from hip-hop to country can now swing to a new tempo. Times are changing and I do believe that this may be the correct way to go. This vote this song even higher. Let it be known that more will come for its spot in country music billboards.

V-LO The Maestro (@VLOsWorld) - "Can't Phase Me"

V-Lo The Maestro has had a lifelong passion for music. Like so many independent rappers, his dream was to be able to see his music video on BET television, a goal that he’d held on to ever since he was a child in his rural hometown of Washington, Louisiana. With a population of roughly 943, Washington, Louisiana is a small town with one stoplight and no Walmart. Here, students are transported by yellow school buses to the nearest city for classes. Washington is the place where V-LO The Maestro, as an independent rap artist, began to think outside of the box and reach for opportunities beyond what he was limited to locally. “I always knew if I made the music and produced a quality product, I’d find a market. The Internet has made it possible to take the sound out of the country, around the world, and bring it back home.” V-LO has been able to build his music audience organically, through grassroots efforts and an active Social Media presence. He’s grown his Instagram to over 100,000+ followers and his collaboration, “Tipsy,” featuring Kevin Gates, the impassioned rapper from Baton Rouge, earned 25,000 Spotify downloads while the music video reached over 1 million views on V-LO The Maestro’s Facebook artist page. V-LO’s music has made its way into rotation by famed DJs, including DJ Flex. These milestones helped pave the way for what had been V-LO’s dream for quite some time. Directed by Majacul, footage for “Can’t Phase Me” was filmed with permission at Nissan Stadium and features a string of exotic race cars—the Ferrari F430, Rolls Royce Ghost, Corvette, and BMW i8. The video tallied 200,000 views on Youtube. On April 4th 2019, the music video for “Can’t Phase Me,” by V-LO The Maestro made its BET television debut, an achievement that is also a monumental first for the residents of Washington, Louisiana. In recent years, New Orleans had become the state’s pipeline for rap talent, introducing Cajun flavor to rap music lovers through the likes of a bevy of artists, including Master P and son Romeo, Silk the Shocker, Mystikal, Birdman, and Lil Wayne (Weezy). They are among the most influential rappers in the industry, and their signature sound has become coveted by audiences worldwide. According to Nielsen Music reports, Hip-Hop/R&B is now the most dominant genre in the United States. Music streaming has now become the preferred medium, with rap artist Drake shattering music streaming records with an astounding 8.2 billion plays. One added benefit of digital distribution is that it also opens up opportunities for focused, independent music artists. A rap artist like V-LO The Maestro from Washington, Louisiana, a rural area nowhere close to New Orleans, could create and promote music from his hometown that reaches audiences in major cities, as well as in other countries. “Not everyone is going to believe in your dreams,” says V-LO. “Some might even come out and tell you your ideas are crazy because they don’t believe what you are trying to do is even possible. But whatever your talent, do it well. Do it with passion. Own it. And be bold enough to represent. I’m from a small town, but I didn’t let that stop me. I am so grateful that BET television has given me this opportunity.”

Jay Z Talks Tidal, Jimmy Iovine, And Rewriting The Music Rulebook

Jay Z doesn’t give many interviews. In conversation, he often pauses mid-sentence, considers, rewinds, slices and reshapes his answer, choosing a more appropriate word or analogy that draws a finer point before revealing it to the interviewer. What’s commonly assumed is a mistrust of the press may just be that unlike his work in the studio or onstage, Jay Z doesn’t ultimately control the final result of an interview, and therefore treads more carefully while giving one.

[Video] K1NG ZOE - FEEL1NG AMAZ1NG | @K1NG_ZOEBSG

There’s a new rap king on the rise and his name is K1NG ZOE. Hailing from Miami, Florida, the lyricist is making waves with his debut single “FEEL1NG AMAZ1NG” as his powerful lyrics bring feel good music back to its essence. Encouraging others to always feel good about themselves, despite the pressures of society, “FEEL1NG AMAZ1NG” will have people’s mood in high spirits from sun up to sun down. Following in the footsteps of some of his rap mentors like Trick Daddy, Rick Ross, Ice Billion Berg, Billy Blue, Jay-Z, ZRO, and Wiz Khalifa, to name a few, K1NG ZOE explains why he’s on a mission to infuse empowering meaningful lyrics back into music: “My music is inspirational and it is very relatable. As people sing the lyrics to my songs, they have so much passion because it’s not just a good hook and a fire beat. It’s their life story! I say the things that people want to express, but aren’t sure how others will view them after it’s been said. Everybody wants to be the “toughest gangsta” in a lot of Rap songs today but my music explores the importance of being human, making mistakes, and learning from them to turn mistakes into income.”   K1NG ZOE, a retired US Navy vet, has had an innate love for music since he was a child. In middle school he participated in the school’s band ensemble, furthering his passion for music. While on active duty, he served as a Hospital Corpsmen and it was during his tour in Afghanistan where he started writing about his experiences while there. Upon his return to the states and while continuing to serve his country, he began to record and release his music through the popular global music platforms, “SoundCloud” and “DatPiff Mixtapes.” “Lines of a King” was his first released mixtape which was played first by DJ 100K in December of 2012. Since then K1NG ZOE has been honorably discharged and has fully devoted himself to fulfilling his appetite for music.   Always having the true spirit of a leader, K1NG ZOE started his own company “Black Sneaker Entertainment” that encompasses a radio station as well as a record label. He is now slated to release a catalog of new music with up and coming artists under Black Sneaks Entertainment/Against All Odds Music Group. Currently working on his debut EP “Season of Revenge” for 2019, K1NG ZOE will also blow you away with his singles “73 featuring Ice Billion Berg” and “FRANCO L1NK.”   Speaking of “FRANCO L1NK,”he explains, “Everyone measures how successful you are by comparing it to some material worth. They’re checking for how big your crib is or the type of foreign you drive. As for myself, a Franco Link is my chaining day. No pun intended. After the countless sacrifices made to reach my pinnacle, a Franco Link speaks for it all. I want to be able to have the power to make a phone call and change someone’s life completely. And while doing it, that Franco Link will sit just right.”   K1NG ZOE is just getting started and it has been a very promising start. As with all great creators, he has embarked on fulfilling his entrepreneurial vision. Stay tuned as he declares,    “My only limit is that which I impose on myself.

What Songs Will Last A Lifetime To You?

Whether you listen to rap, dance, hip-hop, techno, country, jazz, rock-n-roll, or pop music, the Wrap-Up Magazine would like to know, what song last a lifetime to you?

Nielsen Music, the industry-standard information and sales tracking sector, released a mid-year report highlighting 2020's current most popular genre. Stats reveal hip-hop as America's favorite and most influential genre, so far.

If you’re a songwriter, I would think that longevity is something you strive for when writing a tune. You want your music to live on, especially if your career doesn’t. We love the nineties. The nineties gave us grunge and gangster rap as well as (unfortunately) a cringeworthy combination of the two.

Additionally, the 1990s gave us Nirvana, Beyonce, Oasis, Pearl Jam, Beck, The Fugees, Snoop Dogg, Green Day, and Smashing Pumpkins. The following decade is when pop truly took over, followed closely behind by rap. It’s when rock started to fade a bit despite stellar offerings from Kings of Leon and Green Day.
