Apple Announce Documentary With Wiz Khalifa

According to the Apple announcement, the series “will go into the most intimate aspects of Wiz Khalifa’s life,” containing archival footage from throughout his decade-plus-long career. The series will feature interviews with his family and his closest friends.

Friend of Wiz Khalifa and executive producer of the project Micheal Strahan also added, “Wiz and I both share a passion for family, friendship and hard work, and that’s exactly what you’ll see from him in this series. We’re excited to team up with Apple Music and give the world an intimate look into the rise of an entertainment icon.”

A spokesperson confirmed that the students' two-year memberships will start when they activate their account, which they can do at any time (note: it's unclear when access to the two-year membership offer will expire). Peloton also told POPSUGAR that it is the schools' responsibility to enroll their own students once the memberships are gifted, but there is no limit to how many students at each HBCU can receive a membership; students just have to be currently enrolled. It has been less than 30 days since Netflix released DAHMER-Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story. As of Wednesday, September 21st, the critically acclaimed crime series has been viewed over 701.37 hours, making it the second most-watched show in the history of Netflix.

Strictly from an artistic standpoint, the show's creator, Ryan Murphy, and lead actor, Evan Peters, are in line for what could become an onslaught of accolades at next year's Emmy Awards ceremony; and deservingly so. But socially, the racial components that bind the show and the real-life murder case of 1991 together have caused outrage amongst the Black and LGBTQ+ communities as well as angst with the law enforcement officials who were heavily entrenched in Jeffrey Dahmer's legal proceedings.

Jimi Hendrix Gets US Postage Stamp

The United States Postal Service has announced a new +Jimi Hendrix postal stamp. Rock guitar icon Jimi Hendrix is coming to your mailbox. The U.S. Postal Service has released the Jimi Hendrix Forever Stamp, embracing one of rock’s greatest performers. The limited-edition stamp, designed by artist Rudy Gutierrez, features a vibrant, colorful design fashioned to evoke the movement and rhythm of the late singer and pay homage to the psychedelic rock era of the 1960s.

The stamp pane, designed to resemble a vintage 45 rpm record sleeve, features a painting of Hendrix’s face surrounded by colorful swirls and small icons that reference song lyrics or aspects of Hendrix’s life. The various icons include flowers, a guitar, a mermaid and a butterfly. The stamp art shows Hendrix in performance, wearing one of his trademark vintage military jackets and playing one of his beloved white Fender Stratocaster guitars.

The Postal Service has released numerous stamps to celebrate and honor music icons who had a big impact on American culture and the music industry. The Jimi Hendrix Forever Stamp kicks off the 2014 Music Icons series, which will include Janis Joplin later this year. The 2013 Music Icons series honored Johnny Cash, Ray Charles and Lydia Mendoza.
