What song would you love to hear Beyonce cover?

One of the biggest compliments to an artist is when a peer shows appreciation with a song cover. For years fans have heard artists cover songs, and at times the newer version is a bigger hit than the original. Beyoncé is no different, as she has covered a few songs throughout her career such as the Donny Hathaway and Roberta Flack duet, "The Closer I Get to You" and Rose Royce's hit song "Wishing on a Star."

Cover songs can be used to display creativity of a performers work through the talent of another artist's previous production. Not to be confused with a Remix, which is defined as altering or distorting the original sound electronically; Cover Versions give a performer the ability to adapt music to their own style, typically allowing them to change the genre of a song and recreating it to their own taste.

With that being said, the Wrap-Up Magazine would like to know which artist cover song should Beyonce do and why?

Why Did Mariah Carey Really Mention J.Lo In Her New Book

The long-running feud between the two makes a cameo in the book, with Mariah Carey even poking fun at her now infamous "I don't know her" comment about Lopez as she detailed how ex husband Tommy Mottola allegedly tried to derail her career following their divorce.

While she writes that she understands "Glitter" wasn't exactly Oscar bait, she doesn't think it "deserved" the hate it got at the time -- and places at least some of the movie and the soundtrack's failure on Mottola.

She accused her ex "and his cronies" of physically pulling standees and other promotional items for the album from record stores, before claiming he "interfered with the 'Glitter' soundtrack."

While writing about the alleged "sabotage" to the soundtrack, Mariah Carey explained she had originally selected Yellow Magic Orchestra's "Firecracker" to sample on the lead single, "Loverboy."

Though she doesn't name Jennifer Lopez or her song "I'm Real" by name, that single also includes the sample and was released just ahead of "Glitter." None of this is new, it caused controversy at the time and has always been credited as the source of their feud.

#Throwback Mariah Carey - Fantasy #Remix Ft O.D.B.

Mariah Carey's catalog is the stuff pop divas-in-the-making can only dream of. The two came together in the most unlikely of ways.

Mariah Carey was a 25-year-old, squeaky clean diva-in-training who belted out a string of No. 1 singles about finding your inner hero, visions of love and being rescued by a “dreamlover.”

Written by Carey alongside producer Dave Hall, the remix re-tooled the song in a great way. Simply put, the Puffy-produced mix with O.D.B. and Mariah displayed an unlikely chemistry that worked like babies and pacifiers.

Why Nelly And KRS-One Rap Beef Happened

In 2002, Nelly was one of hip-hop's biggest stars. His 2000 breakout debut, Country Grammar, sold nine million records.

Old school boom-bap rap pioneer, KRS-One, who had earned a reputation not just for his community-conscious lyrics but for never shying away from a lyrical showdown, called Nelly out.

KRS— who by that time had already proclaimed himself to be a keeper of classic hip-hop— voiced his discontent with Nelly on the track "Clear Em Out" from the compilation The Difference.

The song was aimed at pop-rap, and given his success as hip-hop's reigning top-seller at the time. Nelly took offense. He'd just dropped the track "#1" from the Training Day soundtrack, where he was defending his right to reign on top of the charts.

"He had to defend himself. He's like, 'My career probably wouldn't be here if it wasn't for KRS-One,' that's what Nelly is on. My man got tired of critics and made a song '#1.' He wasn't specifically talking about nobody, but if the shoe fits, wear it."

KRS claimed he even sent an email to Nelly's camp, explaining there was no beef and he wasn't interested in getting into it with the St. Louis star. Nelly didn't get the memo, however, and in response, recorded a verse on the Freeway's "Roc the Mic" remix, on which he called out the veteran rhymer, letter by letter.

KRS responded by calling for an actual boycott of Nelly's album, Nellyville, which was scheduled to drop that June 2002, dramatically declaring himself a "sovereign power" in the process. Nelly challenged a sovereign power.

Needless to say, the whole boycott thing didn't exactly pan out the way KRS had hoped. June 25, 2002, rolled around, Nelly dropped Nellyville, and the entire world danced to the album's monster hit, "Hot in Herre." Nellyville ended up selling over 6 million albums and it stands as the 14th best-selling rap album of all time.

The Plot Behind Jennifer Lopez's 'Ain't It Funny' Video

When Ashanti wrote the song 'Ain't It Funny', who would have known Jennifer Lopez would be the one singing on the chorus. This song is sampled from rapper Craig Mack's "Flava in Ya Ear".

While he was working towards the remix, Ja Rule boasted "I'm about to f--- ya'll up," stating that the song's sampling of Craig Mack's "Flava In Ya Ear" would be "remixed" and "vamped up crazy". While reviewing the original "Ain't It Funny", Billboard's Chuck Taylor said of the remix release, "Sony has got to be kidding, calling it "Ain't it Funny" when not one note of it is held in common with the original.

The music video features two parts which frequently interchange back and forth throughout the song. The first part of the video shows Lopez having a small party in her home with guests including Ja Rule and Ashanti. This part of the video is from the point of view of the guy who is being mentioned in the song.

Understanding Rick James Hit Song With Jennifer Lopez

Jennifer Lopez and Ja Rule hit song "Im Real" has always been one of my favorite songs from the the artist when they were doing there thing.

"I'm Real" is the name of two songs recorded by American singer Jennifer Lopez, both primarily for her second studio album J.Lo (2001). The original version was released as the album's fourth single; Ja Rule of Murder Inc Records wrote and was featured on a new version of the song entitled "I'm Real (Murder Remix)", which was featured on a re-issue of J.Lo in July 2001, on Lopez's remix album J to tha L–O! The Remixes (2002), and Ja Rule's third studio album Pain Is Love (2001).

Along with Irv Gotti, Ja Rule wrote the Murder remix for "I'm Real", which utilizes samples from "All Night Long" (1983) by Mary Jane Girls and "Mary Jane" by Rick James. "I'm Real (Murder Remix)" was produced by Gotti and 7 Aurelius, and was recorded at Record Plant in Hollywood, California and Crackhouse Studios in New York City.
