The Power Of Word-Of-Mouth

The Power Of Word-Of-Mouth is strength. To achieve the potential of social media, marketers will have to better understand how it works. Building a buzz is an effective—and free—way to create public awareness and support.

One of the top takeaways I learned was about ‘Word of Mouth Marketing’ and how to apply it in my own email marketing campaigns to drive more attention. Do you want to tap into a powerful form of marketing that doesn’t require you to create content on your own? If so, word of mouth marketing is the strategy for you.

I have always appreciated the power of word of mouth and i personally make many of my purchase decisions based on reviews by friends and online. Word-of-mouth marketing is hands-down the easiest way to promote and market a business.

1. Set goals for word-of-mouth. Just as with any other type of marketing tactic, vague goals like “getting everyone to talk about us” are too nebulous to be useful. Create measurable goals, such as getting X number of new customers through referrals per month, obtaining press coverage in three places per month or generating X number of leads per month via word-of-mouth marketing.

 2. Create a system for generating referrals. Offering bonuses, freebies or discounts to customers who give you referrals to other customers is a good way to encourage the practice.

 3. Offer customers who are referred special deals. Give new customers discounts or special offers in return for being willing to try your business.

 4. Promote your business with PR. Public relations should be ongoing to keep your business in the public eye. Develop relationships with local journalists, members of the media and bloggers, and keep them informed about your company’s latest news, accomplishments and future plans.

 5. Get active in the local community. Participating in or sponsoring community events such as fairs, 5K races or sports teams will get your business name out there. If your carpet company’s name is all over the local Little League team’s jerseys, who are the parents going to think of the next time they need carpet?

Denzel Washington Talks Trump And Race Relations

Denzel Washington says there's too much cynicism in the world — particularly in politics. Denzel Washington on Race Relations: 'You Can't Legislate Love'. Denzel Washington says it is time for the mainstream media to stop selling fake stories.

Donald Trump Likes To Over-Power Women

The real estate mogul deemed it necessary to continuously attack Fox News host Megyn Kelly. Trump’s always-volatile and unpredictable Twitter feed was rife with re-tweeted insults about the “unwatchable host” whom he sweetly referred to as “Crazy Megyn.” Sadly, this is par for the “Trump Golf” course for the front runner.

Trump has consistently insulted, belittled, sexualized and stereotyped women. He has also taken the time to personally insult individual notable women like Sarah Jessica Parker, Rosie O’Donnell, Cher, Bette Midler, and others.

And now on the first Presidential Debate between Hillary and Donald, he seems to be try to over powering her and wanting to be a bully. The gap has grown increasingly tenacious over time. Support our movement.

The Kardashians Sign $100 Million Deal With E!

This has to be one filthy rich family. The Kardashians have signed a record-breaking, $100 million-plus deal to remain with E! for another four years, sources have exclusively confirmed to Page Six.

Momager Kris Jenner recently secured the astonishing deal for herself and daughters Kim, Khloé and Kourtney Kardashian and Kendall and Kylie Jenner. Bruce Jenner is not part of the deal, having previously agreed that he will be leaving after the upcoming 10th season of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.” Bruce has his own show at E! based on his sex transition.

The Kardashian deal, the highest in TV history for a reality brand, is being kept strictly under wraps. E!’s parent company, Comcast, says it plans to save by spending less on content if its proposed merger with Time Warner Cable goes ahead.

The deal covers at least four more seasons of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” as well as spinoffs, which have included “Kourtney and Khloé Take the Hamptons.” E! executives also believe the family’s huge social media following will fuel future digital projects. Jenner had previously been rumored to be in talks about a Kardashian YouTube channel.

There will be further opportunities for the sisters under the new package. Khloé has been hosting red carpet coverage as well as post-Oscar and Grammy specials for E! Kim is also expected to produce her own future shows. Kanye West is not part of the deal, we’re told, but he will continue to appear on “Keeping Up.” Show creator Ryan Seacrest is also believed to be getting a sizeable fee.

E! also has an eye on future vehicles for the youngest generation of the Kardashian clan. Kendall has quickly risen to become one of the world’s top fashion models. Kylie has had success in modeling and TV hosting, but wants to become an actor. Our source added, “You’ll be seeing a lot more of the Kardashian family. This is a huge deal, which will see their involvement with the network and its digital properties expand well into the future.”

Facebook Hit With Lawsuit

A class-action lawsuit has been proposed in Canada against Facebook following a security breach that put the accounts of tens of millions of users at risk.

The social media company announced last week that about 50 million user accounts worldwide had been accessed by hackers, with another 40 million left vulnerable during the attack.

Facebook Video Views Grows

Using a video upload tool, which has been available on the site since July 2017, hackers were able to access users' private messages and posts, as well as retrieve information through third-party websites like Instagram, Etsy and Spotify.

The company says there were no signs that any accounts were misused. Affected users were logged out and notified of the breach when they were logged back in.

Facebook Canada said Monday it would not provide any further comment.

Toronto law firm Charney Lawyers PC, which is heading the class action, says Facebook has an obligation to ensure that user information is "properly protected."

Cat Makes $100 Million

How would you feel if you woke up and found out your cat had made $100 million dollars? You see, there’s something about miserable-looking cats that makes people feel uncontrolled emotions. So much so that the most famous Grumpy Cat of all was alleged this morning to have earned in the region of $100 million. Of course that’s not true, but stay with me for a while. Its owner isn’t poor.

The Express reported the figure. Grumpy’s owner, 28-year-old Tabatha Bundesen of Morristown, Ariz., was quoted as saying she’s overjoyed about Grumpy’s success.

The Express also quoted her as saying: “I was able to quit my job as a waitress within days of her first appearance on social media and the phone simply hasn’t stopped ringing since.” She described Grumpy ascent to stardom as “unstoppable.” And Grumpy’s still less than 3 years old. So the future is unlikely to be catastrophic.

It’s unclear, though, which part of Grumpy’s vast performance portfolio — the pictures, the personal appearances, the sponsorships and, well, the pictures — has earned her the most money.

Bundesen has told The Huffington Post that the $100 million figure is “wildly inaccurate.” The miserable-looking little thing is, though, something of a money-spinner.

Grumpy’s real name is Tardar Sauce. She looks the way she does because she has feline dwarfism, as well as an underbite.

She has more than 7 million likes on Facebook. Justin Bieber, however, has more than 72 million. She has more than 256,000 followers on Twitter. Bieber has more than 57 million. Forbes estimates that Bieber made around $80 million last year.
