R. Kelly's Life in Prison Revealed

R. Kelly has been accused of numerous heinous crimes since the '90s... but it wasn't until 2019 that the singer was placed behind bars to await a trial that, as of November 2020, has yet to happen. Here's what life is like for R. Kelly in prison.

On July 11th, 2019, R. Kelly was arrested while walking his dog in Chicago and slapped with a 13-count indictment. According to ABC News,

"[The charges included] exploitation of children, conspiracy to defraud the United States [and] coercion."

He entered a plea of not guilty but remained behind bars at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Chicago to await his trial, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution.

Was "Belly" DMX and Nas Best Played Movie

Since his debut, DMX has released seven studio albums. He has been featured in films such as Belly, Romeo Must Die, Exit Wounds, Cradle 2 the Grave and Last Hour. In 2006, he starred in the reality television series DMX: Soul of a Man, which was primarily aired on the BET cable television network.

I enjoyed the movie Belly myself. I felt it was a great inspiration to the streets of America today.

Lil Wayne Facing 10 Years In Prison

Lil Wayne is facing 10 years in prison after the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida charged him with 1 count of possession of a firearm and ammunition by a convicted felon. This stems from a December 2019 incident where feds searched Wayne's private jet in Miami and found a gun and ammunition.

Lil Wayne's attorney, Howard Srebnick, commented on the situation back in December, stating that the rapper was "cleared " to leave the airport after the search, despite drugs and guns being found aboard. His team has not provided a new statement in regards to the federal charges, but Wayne is expected to appear in court next month.

What Kind Of Deal Is R. Kelly Former Manager Trying To Make?

A former manager for singer R. Kelly, who faces criminal charges of his own, is in the middle of plea negotiations, prosecutors revealed at a status conference Friday.

Donnell Russell was indicted in October on one count of interstate stalking for allegedly contacting an anonymous "Jane Doe" victim in R. Kelly's case "with the intent to harass and intimidate" her and her family, according to the indictment filed in the Eastern District of New York.

He pleaded not guilty to the charge in October, court documents show. Russell was also charged by criminal complaint in the Southern District of New York with threatening physical harm by interstate communication and conspiracy to threaten physical harm after Russell allegedly placed a phone call to a Manhattan theater to prevent the December 4, 2018 screening of "Surviving R. Kelly," according to a criminal complaint. He allegedly told the theater there was an armed person inside, prepared to begin shooting, prosecutors said. His attorney in that case, Annalisa Miron, said Russell pleaded not guilty to those charges.

Did The Guards Try To Set R. Kelly Up In Jail?

A video of R. Kelly being punched by another inmate in jail shows that not one guard “raised a finger” to help him until the attack was well underway, his lawyers claim in a new court filing.

Kelly, who was being held in Chicago’s Metropolitan Correctional Center on federal sex abuse charges, was assaulted in August by Jeremiah Farmer, who had punched the singer repeatedly to get media attention for himself, CNN reported.

The assault left R Kelly with “significant physical and psychological injuries,” the filing said. His lawyers have not released the video.

Feds Are Saying R. Kelly Paid Someone To Attack Him

Feds are up to no good again in the R. Kelly case. After recent news that R. Kelly was attacked while behind bars, the Feds are saying the prisoners was paid through a unknown source for the attack to happen.

Here is the story:

Doug Anton, an attorney for Kelly, told CNN that the singer's legal team had been advised by the US Attorney's Office that the singer was on his bed in his cell Tuesday at Chicago's Metropolitan Correctional Center when another inmate came in and started to punch him.

Guards at the federal facility stopped the assault almost immediately, according to Anton. Anton said that R. Kelly did not sustain any injuries and that X-rays did not reveal any fractures.

What Part Of The Movie "South Central" Did You Love The Most?

South Central is a 1992 American crime-drama film. It was one of the greatest hood movies made during my time. The movie is based on Crips in south central L.A. It was written and directed by Steve Anderson, who has served time, and whose view of prison life has a particular authenticity.

Movie Plot:

During a 10-year sentence for murdering the leader of a rival South Central Los Angeles gang, Bobby Johnson (Glenn Plummer) finds religion and rehabilitation with the help of Muslim inmate Ali. Upon his release, Bobby returns home to find that his young son, Jimmie (Christian Coleman), has joined the Deuces, his old crew. Tensions rise as Bobby struggles to convince Jimmie to leave the gang that was his only family during the painful years his absent father spent behind bars.

What If R. Kelly Is Found Innocent?

It's been seven times the embattled singer has been arraigned on sexual abuse-related charges in a little more than a year.

The new indictment adds several allegations of abuse involving a victim referred to only as Jane Doe 5. Two of the new counts carry mandatory minimum sentences of 10 years in prison if convicted, according to prosecutors.

But what if R. Kelly is found innocent through all this or the case gets thrown out due to lack of evidence? Does this mean R. Kelly gets to sue the justice system along with the people who helped to bring him down?

R. Kelly has pleaded not guilty to a set of federal sex-trafficking charges leveraged against him in New York in mid-March, including those that he knowingly spread herpes to two people. He entered the plea via teleconference from a Chicago federal jail on Thursday.

As the coronavirus pandemic has escalated, Kelly has requested early release from prison twice, and was most recently denied on April 22. What If Michael Jackson Was Alive, What Would You Want To Ask Him

What would you do or say if Michael Jackson was still alive today? If Michael Jackson was alive today, would he still be making music, and still be the king of pop?

At the time of his death, Jackson was still a huge draw, particularly in Europe. He was still an active performer, and his last album, Invincible, had been put out in 2001, eight years before he died. It was a huge seller around the world at the time.

And his health was not good-had he not died, he in all likelihood might have been too ill to continue to be an active touring, working musician. Touring and public appearances are a lot of work, and Jackson just wasn’t well. And as we now know, his This is It tour was controversial because the sponsors of that tour basically put pressure on Jackson to commit to a heavy schedule while knowing he wasn’t in very good health.

What Roc Nation And The NFL Is Doing For Hadiya Pendleton

It's a good thing how Jay-Z is getting involved in our African American culture. It's time we slow down gun violence in our black communities. He is really using his voice to stand out behind his music while having the NFL to back him up.

Hadiya Pendleton's family has continued to keep her legacy alive. The Chicago teen is the subject of Team Roc's latest PSA about putting an end to gun violence.

Pendleton is one of many stories of kids being killed by gun violence from all over the world. Pendleton was gunned down as she was spending time with friends at the city's Harsh Park.

The video titled "Hadiya's Promise" is narrated by her mother Cleopatra Cowley-Pendleton, who shared her daughter's hopes and dreams as well as her own efforts at social justice in her young years.
