What The Ban on Cigarettes Mean

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is moving forward with plans to ban menthol cigarettes and all flavored cigars—policies that agency officials say could help prevent some of the roughly 500,000 U.S. deaths linked to tobacco each year.

“The actions we are proposing can help significantly reduce youth initiation and increase the chances that current smokers quit,” FDA Commissioner Dr. Robert Califf said in a statement. “It is clear that these efforts will help save lives.”

What do Beyoncé and Jennifer Lopez have in common?

What do Beyoncé and Jennifer Lopez have in common? I mean, aside from being legendary music, dance, and style icons, they also happen to both love the same highlighter: Iconic London's Illuminator Liquid Highlight. That's right, the same $40 highlighter is responsible for some of the most glowing skin in the game.

Beyoncé is notoriously private, but over the years she has let slip some real gems about her beauty routine, like details on the $10 mascara she wore during her legendary Beychella performance, and the secret to her “Teflon face” that lasts through three-hour concerts. And earlier this fall, it was revealed that her makeup artist Rokael Lizama used Iconic London's highlighter for her candlelit glow in the Black Is King visual album.

That news was enough to make us want to get our hands on it immediately, but that desire was only intensified when J.Lo was recently spotted in the same highlighter in her new music video for “Pa Ti.” In addition to its superstar stamp of approval, the illuminator's versatility is another selling point that had us dying to try it.

The Insane Lifestyle Of Elton John

Elton John has had a hugely successful career spanning over 50 years. John got his first break as a singer with his 1969 album Empty Sky, featuring songs by John and Taupin. While that recording failed to catch on, his 1970 self-titled effort featured John's first hit, "Your Song."

John taught himself to play the piano at the age of four. He studied at the London Academy of Music but quit two weeks before graduation to pursue a musical career. When Elton John was working on his new autobiography, the legendary singer, songwriter and performer pulled out diaries he had been keeping for years.

Inside Soho Roc House

Few places in the world scream glamor like the Greek island of Mykonos. With its bougainvillea-draped, whitewashed houses set against the endless deep blue of the Aegean Sea, it is no surprise that it draws more of the international glitterati than anywhere else in Greece. How appropriate, then, that Soho House, the private members’ club of choice for the “it” crowd, has selected this envy-inducing location for its newest club and hotel.

Founded in London in 1995, Soho House started out as a members’ club for people in the film, media, and creative industries. Since then, the group has gradually expanded around the globe and now includes 27 houses, along with a multitude of restaurants, cinemas, workspaces, spas and bedrooms. While every house is individually designed to reflect the city and neighborhood it inhabits, the Soho House properties all share certain common characteristics: from the on-point contemporary design, complete with plush fabrics and bespoke artworks, to the trademark swimming pools and the host of achingly trendy 20- and 30-somethings they attract as members.

What If You Had The Chance To Meet Freddie Mercury Before He Died?

For many of you who do not know, lets read up on the legendary Freddie Mercury. He was a British singer, songwriter, record producer, and lead vocalist of the rock band Queen. Regarded as one of the greatest lead singers in the history of rock music, he was known for his flamboyant stage persona and four-octave vocal range.

Freddie Mercury died in 1991 from HIV/AIDS. Freddie was considered a god among singers, and he had an amazing near 5 octave range, ranging from a bass' F2 to a soprano's F6.

In 1987, Mercury was diagnosed as having AIDS and the band together made the decision to stop touring, making the concert at Knebworth on 9 August 1986 the last time that the four original members of Queen performed on stage together.

What If Michael Jackson Was Alive, What Would You Want To Ask Him

What would you do or say if Michael Jackson was still alive today? If Michael Jackson was alive today, would he still be making music, and still be the king of pop?

At the time of his death, Jackson was still a huge draw, particularly in Europe. He was still an active performer, and his last album, Invincible, had been put out in 2001, eight years before he died. It was a huge seller around the world at the time.

And his health was not good-had he not died, he in all likelihood might have been too ill to continue to be an active touring, working musician. Touring and public appearances are a lot of work, and Jackson just wasn’t well. And as we now know, his This is It tour was controversial because the sponsors of that tour basically put pressure on Jackson to commit to a heavy schedule while knowing he wasn’t in very good health.

New #Documentary on Motley Crue

Mötley Crüe was formed on January 17, 1981, when bassist Nikki Sixx left the band London and began rehearsing with drummer Tommy Lee and vocalist/guitarist Greg Leon.

Even in the sex and drugs-crazed world of rock and roll, the stories about Mötley Crüe's Vince Neil, Nikki Sixx, Mick Mars and Tommy Lee were so outrageous, we still talk about it today. For the hair metal band Motley Crue, 'The Dirt' was a fitting title for a collection of true stories and biographical film.

Hell bent on changing the musical landscape and acquiring fame, Los Angeles' Motley Crue became emblematic of sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll”.

Madonna Says Michael Jackson Is Innocent

Madonna has broken her silence on the sexual abuse allegations against Michael Jackson, saying her one-time music rival is “innocent until proven guilty.” Madonna said she hadn’t seen the film, and that she didn’t want to take the claims at face value.

“I don’t have a lynch-mob mentality, so in my mind, people are innocent until proven guilty,” she said in the interview, excerpts of which were published Tuesday in The Independent. “I’ve had a thousand accusations hurled at me that are not true. So my attitude when people tell me things about people is, ‘Can you prove it?”

“So I always say, ‘What’s the agenda? What do people want out of this? Are there people asking for money, is there some kind of extortion thing happening?’” she added. “I would take all of those things into consideration.”

Madonna’s comments on Michael Jackson are similar to those of another female pop icon. In March, Barbra Streisand apologized after she appeared to sympathize with Jackson in a Times of London interview and said Robson and Safechuck “were thrilled to be there.”
