The Insane Lifestyle Of Elton John

Elton John has had a hugely successful career spanning over 50 years. John got his first break as a singer with his 1969 album Empty Sky, featuring songs by John and Taupin. While that recording failed to catch on, his 1970 self-titled effort featured John's first hit, "Your Song."

John taught himself to play the piano at the age of four. He studied at the London Academy of Music but quit two weeks before graduation to pursue a musical career. When Elton John was working on his new autobiography, the legendary singer, songwriter and performer pulled out diaries he had been keeping for years.

How Eminem Inherited Beef With Ja Rule

Unlike some of Eminem’s other feuds, he didn’t poke fun at or diss Ja Rule in a track first. The beef was initially between Ja and 50 Cent, however, the two rap giants can’t even agree on how it began.

Michael Jackson Accuser Changes His Story

Although he was recently one of his most staunch supporters, Aaron Carter was just approached by TMZ where he appeared to do a complete 180 on his previous defense of Michael Jackson.

"In regards to that situation, I actually have my own experience that happened with Michael so I'm going to be talking about that," Carter said to the surprised reporter, who then explicitly asked him if he was referencing abuse.

"You're just gonna have to find out," Carter replied while plugging an autobiography that he's currently writing, adding that "he'll always have [MJ's] back, however, he will tell his truth." From there, he stated that his family has known about what he's about to reveal for years but have never talked about, though the Jackson family was apparently left in the dark.

How Jay-Z created a hip-hop path to luxury

This past Monday, rapper Jay-Z unveiled a deal with LVMH to expand his Armand de Brignac champagne globally. The next day, Oatly, the Swedish vegan-milk group in which he has invested, took its first step towards a $10bn initial public offering.

Jay-Z has further tasks to occupy him, apart from his own music. He still heads Roc Nation, a music and sports talent agency that includes Rihanna among its clients. He is also “chief visionary officer” of a special-purpose company backed by Roc Nation that acquired two Californian cannabis groups in November. And so on.

This year is the 25th anniversary of Jay-Z’s first album Reasonable Doubt, released on his own Roc-A-Fella Records label. Some have lasted and some not, but Jay-Z was ahead of his time in business in a way that is only now clear. “Put me anywhere on God’s green Earth, I triple my worth,” he once rapped. The deal with LVMH, under which the world’s leading luxury group has taken 50 per cent of Armand de Brignac — the “Ace of Spades” champagne praised in his lyrics — is proof of that.
