How Jay-Z Killed His Own Clothing Brand

Jay-Z sold the rights to the Rocawear brand to Iconix Brand Group for $204 million. Jay-Z will retain his stake in the company and will continue to oversee the marketing, licensing, and product development.

If you were a fan of hip hop in the late 90s and early to mid-noughties, then Rocawear will need no introduction. Items from the fashion label, co-founded by rapper Jay-Z, were as common a sight in music videos as groups of scantily-clad ladies popping bottles of Cristal in a hot tub.

How much is Master P worth?

While most of Master P's work in the music industry has been behind the scenes in recent years, he's often considered one of the richest rappers, surpassing even Snoop Dogg in his reported net worth.

To understand how Master P became so wealthy, you have to look at his long career, beyond what he's done with music. He founded his first record label, No Limit Records, in 1991, signing big names like Snoop Dogg and Mystikal.

His music group, TRU, then took off that decade, releasing his own music outside of TRU and continuing work for his record label. In that same 10-year span, he also played for two professional basketball teams.

#NewVideo Jackson Turner - "Let Me Clear My Throat" @jacksonturnermc

Jackson Turner
New York City emcee Jackson Turner presents the Tukes Productions-directed music video for "Let Me Clear My Throat", the Strazdine-produced new single from Turner's forthcoming album Bare Knuckle Soul, set to feature Luney Tunez, Bugle, Fantan Mojah, Nkese P, Niki Darling and Ikeyia.

Turner describes his new single as "a tribute to real lyricism. The title is named after the classic DJ Kool song from the late 90s. With this song, I’m trying to show that we can do new, head-banging hip-hop, while still dropping bars. Rapping is an art and emcees need to live up to it." Bare Knuckle Soul drops in November via Taihe Music Group.

Gansta MarcusOur first artist up was born Cleveland, Mississippi 1982. Although he has the Gangster name, he certainly does not carry the image. With a swag & R&b mixture in his music, if given the right platform, this artist is sure to fly to different levels of his career. Listed below is two songs of the artist that are my favorite.
Million Dollar Swagg
Tell Me Something About You

Gansta Marcus has come a long way from just being any ordinary rapper. His style is versatile and will switch occasionally from rap to hip-hop. He has done many things to be a mentor in the communities he has live in, and a great father to his children. The producer shall not give up until either him or his children shine in the bright light.

Jay Z Talks Tidal, Jimmy Iovine, And Rewriting The Music Rulebook

Jay Z doesn’t give many interviews. In conversation, he often pauses mid-sentence, considers, rewinds, slices and reshapes his answer, choosing a more appropriate word or analogy that draws a finer point before revealing it to the interviewer. What’s commonly assumed is a mistrust of the press may just be that unlike his work in the studio or onstage, Jay Z doesn’t ultimately control the final result of an interview, and therefore treads more carefully while giving one.
