The First Killing In California Prison In 20 Years

An inmate facing a death sentence for killing a 14-year-old girl was stabbed to death while in the recreation yard of the San Quentin State Prison.

Jonathan Fajardo, 30, who was on death row for first-degree-murder in connection with the racially charged shooting death of Cheryl Green in Los Angeles, was stabbed in his chest and neck in the East Block Housing Unit recreation yard of the prison just before 10 a.m., according to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.

Luis Rodriguez, 34, was identified by prison officials as the suspect in Fajardo’s fatal stabbing. Officials said Rodriguez, who was also on death row, made the weapon used in the attack. Officials did not immediately release a potential motive in the stabbing.

Prison officials said Rodriguez had been facing a death sentence on two counts of first-degree murder with special circumstances at the time of the Friday’s attack. He started his sentence on September 30, 2015.

Tennessee Brings Back The Electric Chair

Rumors are that Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam has signed a bill into law allowing the state to electrocute death row inmates in the event prisons are unable to obtain lethal injection drugs. In a related report by The Inquisitr, the state of Utah is considering bringing back firing squad executions for their death penalty because it’s considerably cheaper than lethal injection and other methods. But some people also say it’s a better way to go.

The electric chair legislation overwhelmingly passed both the Tennessee House (68 to 13) and Senate (23 to 3) back in April, but Republican Governor Bill Haslam only recent signed the bill into law. A Vanderbilt University poll on the death penalty found that 56 percent of voters in Tennessee support the electric chair, while 37 percent are against it.

The reason the electric chair bill came up in the first place is because states are finding it increasingly harder to obtain the right mix of drugs required for the lethal injection from suppliers after Europe led a boycott against drugs used to enforce the death penalty. Senator Ken Yager said it had become “a real concern that we could find ourselves in a position that if the chemicals were unavailable to us that we would not be able to carry out the sentence.”

The impetus for bringing back the execution chair was created by the recent botched execution in Oklahoma where the inmate was said to be “tortured to death.” Witnesses say the man suffered for 43 minutes after the drugs were administered, writhing and clenching his teeth in pain, but eventually died of a collapsed vein instead of the drugs.

According to Richard Dieter, the president of the Death Penalty Information Center, the difference between Tennessee and the eight other states with electric chair laws is that other states give inmates an option on whether they should be executed to death.

Diddy Gets Blamed For Biggie's Death

We don't know why the former bodyguard decided to speak, but he has. The bodyguard went on to say "You wanna reminisce brother? You wanna put Big and Wolf on a teleprompter and tell the world how much you love them?

When in fact, you did nothing to save them? To help them? Let's reminisce on that night when we were at Andre Harrell's house and I told you that these cats were coming to kill us or try to get at us that night. I told you I had intel, but you didn't wanna hear it. Let's reminisce on the fact that I told our driver Kenny 'Run these next three lights. Run the lights Kenny.' Kenny ran the light, Big stopped at the light, Big gets killed. Wasn't meant for him bruh."

The death of Notorious B.I.G. has always been shrouded in mystery, with accusations of Death Row Records, gangs, the police and even Diddy being behind the murder of the Brooklyn rapper. Now, Diddy's former bodyguard, Anthony "Wolf" Jones, has come forward saying the mogul is responsible for the death of Biggie, and admits to being present during the 1999 nightclub shooting that involved rapper Shyne.

The bodyguard also spoke on how Diddy allegedly had his security team rally people to testify against Shyne in court, saying "Let's reminisce on how you had people on the security team find people to testify against Shyne. You a rat."

How Master P Survived A Decade Of Music

When Master P first entered the music industry, it was never about music. Percy Miller is a business man all the way around the board.

The No Limit Soldiers kept the music industry on lock by releasing new content every month. Upon arrival with his debut album "Bout It Bout It" Master P had the largest movie and soundtrack surfacing during that time.

Back in 2014, in an interview with VladTV, Master P recently claimed to have sold as many as 75 million albums during his tenure with No Limit Records. Having gained immense popularity in his musical career, Master P is also the CEO of P. Miller Enterprises. As of 2018, Master P's net worth is roughly $250 million.

Master P and the No Limit Soldiers was the hottest rap group until Cash Money records hit the scene to slow down their record sales. Master P created a hip-hop empire without registering on any mainstream radar. For several years, he operated solely in the rap underground.

Beginning in the early 1990s, the New Orleans native dominated the landscape for much of the decade with a staggering amount of product. Although many associate P with The Big Easy, he established the No Limit brand in Northern California.

Shifting the label to New Orleans, P signed Mystikal, Kane & Abel, Mia-X, the late Soulja Slim and former Death Row artist Snoop Dogg.

It wasn’t all music with Master P, as the mogul’s film company continues to release films independently in DVD format to this day. P has been engaged in several business ventures over the years and the introduction of the digital-only No Limit Forever record entity only solidifies he’s not going anywhere soon.

Suge Knight Transferred To Prison

Suge arrived Tuesday at Wasco State Prison and from the looks of his miserable mug shot above, it doesn’t seem like the former music mogul is excited about his new spot.

He’ll have to go through physical and mental examinations and review his records before getting settled at Wasco. Depending on the results he can stay there, or be transferred to another prison.

The jail is in the middle of nowhere in Kern County, and has 400 beds. It’s definitely a stretch in comparison to what the former Death Row Records CEO was used to during his prime, celebrating in Hollywood with the likes of Tupac, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg.

Suge Knight took a plea deal last month and was sentenced to 28 years in jail. He got credit for time served, but fortunately for him, due to prison overcrowding, he may be out in about 10 years.

Suge Knight Sentenced to 28 Years in Prison

Suge Knight
Suge Knight was sentenced to 28 years in prison on Thursday (October 4) afternoon for the murder of Terry Carter.

Suge struck a plea deal for the sentence on September 20, days before standing trial for murder and attempted murder.

Suge Knight has accepted a plea deal for 28-years after pleading no contest to voluntary manslaughter in the murder of Terry Carter, according to TMZ. The Death Row founder will be credited time served for the 3 1/2 years he spent in jail leading up to his sentencing. Suge will also be on parole for three years following his prison sentence.

Suge Knight Collapses In Court Video

Suge's prior felony convictions also made this sentencing much harsher. He received five extra years because the murder was considered "serious and violent" as well as another year tacted on for using the truck as a deadly weapon.

According to TMZ, Suge Knight has struck a plea deal in the murder case of Terry Carter this afternoon (September 20). Suge was facing life in prison for killing Carter in 2015 in the parking lot of Tam's Burgers in Compton. He also ran over Cle "Bone" Sloan," who was injured but survived.

Suge has maintained that he wasn't trying to hurt Sloan or Carter and says he was trying to escape after believing that they were both about to shoot him. Suge has been behind bars awaiting trial since the 2015 incident.

Georgia Prison Executes Disabled Man

Hill was already serving a life sentence for murdering his girlfriend in 1985 when he killed a fellow inmate in 1990, earning him a spot on death row. He was originally scheduled to be executed by lethal injection in 2012, but managed to postpone three times—until the Supreme Court declined to grant him a stay of execution Tuesday afternoon.“

Today, the Court has unconscionably allowed a grotesque miscarriage of justice to occur in Georgia,” Hill’s lawyer, Brian Kammer, told reporters. “Georgia has been allowed to execute an unquestionably intellectually disabled man, Warren Hill, in direct contravention of the Court’s clear precedent prohibiting such cruelty.”

On Tuesday night, Georgia executed Warren Lee Hill—an inmate with an IQ of 70—who was unable to prove he had a mental disability under Georgia’s strict legal standard.
