The stars are coming out for the inauguration of Joe Biden as the 46th President of the United States.

Former Presidents Barack Obama, George W. Bush and Bill Clinton will be at the swearing-in ceremony at the U.S. Capitol.

So will former New York Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez and his fiancée Jennifer Lopez. Lopez arrived in D.C. on Thursday and showed her appreciation for the troops.

Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez to perform at Biden swearing-in

Pop artists Jennifer Lopez and Lady Gaga will be among A-listers who will perform at the largely-virtual swearing-in ceremony of Joe Biden as the 46th President of the United States on January 20.

Gaga, one-of-a-kind artist, performer and a trailblazer in beauty and fashion, will sing the national anthem and Lopez will give a musical performance on the West Front of the US Capitol, where the ceremony will be taking place.

Biden, 78, and Kamala Harris, 56, will be sworn in as President and Vice President of the United States during the ceremony.

But it won't be a typical inauguration, for several reasons.

The ongoing coronavirus pandemic and fresh security concerns following a pro-Trump mob breaching the Capitol last week have combined to force some changes to what is a historical American day.

50 Cent Reacts To New COVID Suggestion To Film Industry

The Los Angeles health department is urging film and television productions to implore stopping for the next little while as the pandemic continues to rage on but, with 50 Cent currently in the midst of several different shows, including Power Book II: Ghost, Power Book III: Raising Kanan, Black Mafia Family, and more, he's not down to pause for another lockdown.

As cases continue to rise, the L.A. health department is asking the television and film industries to lead by example, asking them to stop shooting for the time being until things are more under control. One of the movers-and-shakers in the industry, 50 Cent is seemingly very frustrated about these guidelines, waking up and immediately "needing a drink" upon reading the reports.

Young Thug Says Jay-Z Doesn’t Have 30 Hit Songs

Young Thug was talking with Gillie Da Kid on the latter’s ‎Million Dollaz Worth Of Game podcast and the Atlanta rapper proceeded to jump out the window, figuratively. While bragging that he had 30 songs that would make the crowd go crazy at his shows in arenas, he then proceeded to add that “Jay-Z ain’t got 30 songs like that.”

Now Thugger said that with the utmost confidence. But the look on Gillie’s face said it all. But to be clear, the Philly rapper turned host also diplomatically added, “He got a lot, though.”

The tone, or maybe his thoughts catching up with what he just said, led Thug to walk back that wild statement instantaneously.

But in a potentially troubling sign for the recorded music business, the number of total streams has remained the same.

Jennifer Lopez Stuns in Beyoncé 's Ivy Park Collection

If there's one collaboration we'll always be ready for, it's Jennifer Lopez and Beyoncé.

Almost as if the superstars knew that we all need a little more joy in our lives in 2020, J.Lo decided to showcase some pieces from Beyoncé's latest Ivy Park collection. As expected, Beyoncé's designs look perfect on J.Lo, and it's basically proof that the pair should start cooking up even more creations together in the new year.

Lounging on her couch, Lopez captioned the snaps, "Swaggy Saturday," and credited her fiancé, Alex Rodriguez, as the photographer. Wearing a head to toe glossy gold tracksuit, with Timberland boots, J.Lo showed, once again, that activewear can be chic.

Rihanna, Beyoncé and Taylor Swift named 'Music's Most Iconic Figures'

Beyoncé, Rihanna and Taylor Swift are the only music acts included on Forbes’ annual list of The World’s 100 Most Powerful Women, where they’re sharing rarefied air with the likes of Queen Elizabeth II, Oprah Winfrey and Vice-President elect Kamala Harris.

“The leaders on Forbes’ 2020 list of the World’s Most Powerful Women are playing a critical role in determining what the post-pandemic world will look like.” “Their influence is being leveraged beyond economic and political might to transform industries and solve for society’s most urgent issues. The power they hold to move us all forward has never been more apparent — or needed.

Rihanna ranks highest among the singing icons, at No. 69, mostly for her charitable efforts. The$800 million Bajan beauty donated millions of dollars to various charities, including coronavirus relief efforts, and to help abuse victims in L.A. and the needy in New York City. Of course, the “Only Girl in the World” chanteuse is also a business maven, thanks to her Fenty Beauty line and Savage X Fenty lingerie line — expanded through a landmark partnership with LMVH, the French conglomerate, which is at the helm of Dior, Fendi, Givenchy, and Louis Vuitton.

David Lee Roth New Song Is Dedicated To Eddie Van Halen

David Lee Roth has revealed a lofty, acoustic guitar-driven new track that he has dedicated to his longtime bandmate Eddie Van Halen.

"Somewhere Over the Rainbow Bar and Grill..." was one of a number of previously-unreleased songs written and recorded by Roth and John 5 circa 2014, with Greg Bissonette playing drums.

Almost a month since Eddie's death, Roth was apparently moved to release the sentimental feeling track along with a message to his longtime collaborator and frenemy embedded in the artwork, "Hey Ed, I'm gonna miss ya'. See you on the other side..."

Beyoncé Covers British Vogue’s December Issue

The singer, 39, posed for three covers for British Vogue’s December 2020 issue, on newsstands November 6.

Photographed by 21-year-old Kennedi Carter — the youngest photographer to shoot any British Vogue cover in the magazine’s 104-year history — Bey fronts one issue in a lime-colored Ivy Park look from her latest “Drip 2” collection, including a knit catsuit ($140), organza jacket ($160) and mesh bucket hat.

On the other two covers, the pop superstar wears a sheer Mugler bodysuit and a bold-shouldered Alexander McQueen blazer, sans pants.

Beyonce New Adidas Gear Is #OutNow

Beyoncé's second Ivy Park x Adidas apparel collection is dropping online Thursday, a day ahead of its release in stores.

The athleisure line, dubbed "The Drip 2 Collection," comes nine months after the first installment of Beyoncé's Ivy Park x Adidas gear, which sold out almost instantly when it dropped at the start of the year.

Online sales were set to begin at 4pm ET on the Adidas Ivy Park website. Prices range from about $25 for accessories and up $200 for apparel.

The collaboration is a continuation of Adidas' (ADDDF) strategy of leveraging non-athlete influencers to work as "creative partners" for limited capsule collections of its athletic wear. Scarcity and celebrity have proven a winning combination for Adidas' high-profile collaboration with Kanye West's Yeezy label.

Jennifer Lopez Talks Breaking Stereotypes as Latin Artist

Jennifer Lopez explained how they landed on Maluma to make his big-screen debut in Marry Me, which she also produced with her partner Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas. “Maluma was top of the list,” Lopez said of the search to find the hottest international star, someone who was making music and could possibly act rather than find an actor who could fake being a singer, which “is sometimes not the best.”

As for Jennifer Lopez, she described playing Kat as “cathartic” if not a little meta because the character is a global superstar with many eyes monitoring her search for love. “She’s finding her perfect match but not what people would think is her perfect match,” she said.

The producers found a match for concert sequences in Madison Square Garden in part because Maluma was already scheduled to perform at the iconic New York City venue. So, they made use of the full audience for a sequence that didn’t quite go according to plan due to a technical hiccup. “The teleprompter didn’t work,” Maluma explained. “She came out — this beautiful queen over there. I was like, ‘Let’s do this.’ I was sure it was working but it was off. No one actually noticed.”

RZA and GZA of Wu-Tang Talk 'The Game Of Life'

For as long as the two leaders of the Wu-Tang Clan have known each other, it still shocks GZA that he never played chess with RZA as a kid.

The pair are busy practicing this week for their Twitch debut on Saturday, where they will play and compete in a chess tournament hosted by Chess.com and Hennessy. It’s to benefit Black, Latinx and Asian small businesses struggling with the pandemic. GZA says he still remembers vividly to this day when his cousin taught his 9-year-old self how to play chess.

“I guess I remember it well because he had a black and red checkerboard, but the pieces were like clear plastic neon,” GZA tells The Washington Post in a video interview, who said he never forgot the lesson. “And they were weird colored, and they were caked in green. And he showed me the names of the pieces and how they moved.”

Rihanna Says She Just Wants to 'Have Fun With Music'

It’s been four years since Rihanna released an album but the singer is working hard on recording new music. The pop star, 32, told The Associated Press for her new album she’s already held “tons of writing camps” — where songwriters are put into groups to create original tracks for artists. Now, she said she’s asked herself the questions: “What do I feel personally? What do I want to put out, and as an artist, how do I want to play it with my art? How do I want to interpret that?”

“How do I want to reimagine it because it’s been so structured before,” Rihanna continued in a recent interview. The multi-genre artist who has won Grammys in the R&B, dance and rap categories added: “You do pop, you did this genre, you do that, you do radio, but now it’s just like, what makes me happy? I just want to have fun with music. Everything is so heavy. The world that we live in is a lot. It’s overwhelming every single day. And with the music, I’m using that as my outlet.”
