Will The Malcolm X Story Be Remade?

(The Wrap-Up Magazine) Archaeologists are digging at a boyhood home of Malcolm X in an effort to uncover more about the slain black rights activist’s early life as well as the property’s long history, which possibly includes Native American settlement. The two-week archaeological dig began Tuesday outside a two-and-a-half story home in Boston’s historically black Roxbury neighborhood that was built in 1874.

Bagley says once the initial rubble is cleared, a ground-penetrating radar survey will be used to determine the best locations to dig. Major excavation work is expected to dig up to four feet into the ground. The site will be open to the public throughout to observe the work.

Rodnell Collins, a nephew of Malcolm X who lived with him in the house, hopes the survey can raise public awareness of his family’s deep roots in Boston. He’s been working for years to renovate the dilapidated structure for public tours and other uses. The house was designated a city landmark in 1998 because it’s the only known dwelling from the outspoken activist’s formative years in Boston still standing.

Born in Omaha, Nebraska, Little had bounced around from foster homes following his father’s death and his mother’s institutionalization for a nervous breakdown. Little-Collins eventually became his legal guardian. But Little rebelled against family life and landed in a Boston prison for burglary charges in his early 20s. There, he became a Nation of Islam follower and dropped his surname in favor of “X” to represent his family’s lost African ancestral name.

A charismatic speaker, Malcolm X quickly became the Detroit-founded Nation of Islam’s principal spokesman during its rapid rise in the 50s and 60s. He founded temples and mosques up and down the eastern seaboard, promoting a message of black nationalism and denouncing white American culture.

Pastor Shoots Teenager

What just happened? I know this did not! Talk about wearing multiple hats. Reverend/ high school dean/ drug kingpin Shaun O. Harrison was arrested in Boston today for shooting a 17-year-old in the head — execution style — after a drug deal went south. Miraculously, the young boy survived and was able to lead the police back to the power-abusing community figure.

“Around 7:15 p.m. Tuesday, Harrison lured a 17-year-old student onto Magazine Street with promises of girls and drugs, and then shot the student in the back of the head with a handgun, before fleeing on foot, according to authorities.

Amazingly, the student, who police have not identified, survived the shooting and was taken to Boston Medical Center for treatment. The student told police that he sold marijuana for Harrison, who ran a drug ring, until the two got into a dispute.”

Whats New Now

To find relevant content online is becoming hard to find. With so many websites releasing new content everyday, its hard to differ the real from the fake. The-Wrap-Up-Magazine.com separates itself from the rest of the competition with relevant media daily.

With trending topics on google+Twitter, and Facebook, the website has made a name for itself during its first year of announcements. Take a look below of the most recent post made by our writers.

Photos Of The Boston Bomber

“I hope that the people who see these images will know that this was real. It was as real as it gets,” Murphy wrote in a posting on the magazine’s website. “This may have played out as a television show. A Massachusetts State Police spokesman said in a statement that the release of the photographs was unauthorized. Boston Magazine reported that Murphy had been relieved of duty hours after the photos were published.

The Aug. 1 issue of Rolling Stone, featuring a softly-lighted “selfie” of Tsarnaev on the cover, sparked a national uproar. Much of the criticism revolved around what has been described as the rock-star treatment of a suspected terrorist, a view Murphy took as well.

Murphy, a tactical photographer, made public for the first time a series of behind-the-scenes photos documenting the night of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev’s capture in Watertown, Mass.

#NewVideo by BusyBars - Animal @BusyBars

Boston mic veteran, BusyBars is back with the new single. "Animal", produced by Switzerland's Soul Nomad. The track is boom bap, drum kick heavy with a snare that will hurt the back of your neck. The rhythm gives a militant feel accompanied by an orchestral sample including Victorian violins and piano that sound like they're played in a cathedral.

As usual BusyBars comes with hard hitting thought provoking lyrics. Specific social commentary on conditions in the states making the average working citizen feel like an animal. Music for thinkers with a passion for face slapping drums.

Some of the biggest names in entertainment are calling on the Justice Department to reopen the case of Danroy “D.J.” Henry, a 20-year-old Black college student from Easton who was shot and killed by a white police officer outside a restaurant in Mount Pleasant, N.Y., in 2010.

Rihanna, Kerry Washington, Jay-Z, and Pharrell Williams, are among the celebrities who signed on to the July 13 letter, which was addressed to US Attorney General William Barr.

“Like so many other unarmed and innocent young, black men who find themselves guilty of being at the wrong place at the wrong time, DJ, too, lost his life for no good reason and with absolutely no good explanation — to this very day,” the letter states. “Justice, it appears, has been denied.”

Amazon To Start Selling Groceries

Some reports suggest that the online giant retailer is going to build real corner stores to sell food products in order to further expand into the grocery marketAmazon has grown into a $400bn company in the 22 years since its founding by multibillionaire Jeff Bezos in 1994. Now the company is reportedly going to build convenience stores and drive-through locations for customers to pick up their groceries ordered online. The company itself refused to comment on the rumors, which would follow its launch of a physical bookshop in Seattle last year. By the way, bookshops will also reportedly open in 4 other locations across the US.

According to speculations, the brick and mortar stores will be designed for customers signed up to Amazon Fresh food delivery service. The latter is currently available for $15 a month on top of Amazon Prime’s $99 annual fee. Amazon has been offering its Fresh food delivery service in a number of locations across the United States since 2007 and now is rapidly expanding the service. For example, new cities across the United States were added: the service isalready available in its home Seattle, New York, Washington, Boston, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Stamford, Baltimore and California.

Amazon has also gone international in grocery delivery: this past summer the company launched outside of the United States for the first time and started offering grocery delivery in north and east London. Amazon Prime members can get this service in the United Kingdom for extra £6.99 per month. Financial experts report that Amazon collected annual sales of more than $100bn in 2015 – more than double the amount it could get just 4 years earlier. Amazon’s net income totaled $600m.
