Beyoncé and Jay-Z invited Ed Sheeran and then-girlfriend Cherry Seaborn out to a restaurant after the superstars attended one of his NYC shows.


Ed Sheeran revealed that he and wife Cherry Seaborn ended up on a double date with Beyoncé and Jay-Z! The British singer, 30, shared details of the wild tale during an interview with Apple Music 1’s Rebecca Judd — revealing it was just after his first date with Cherry! “I learned [Jay-Z’s song ‘Empire State Of Mind‘] for a Live Lounge. And then Jay-Z and Beyonce came to a gig that I did in Brooklyn. And they were like, ‘Come out to this restaurant with us afterwards,” Ed began.

"Satisfy You", released on October 13, 1999, is a number-one R&B single by American hip-hop artist and producer Puff Daddy and features vocals by American R&B singer-songwriter R. Kelly on the hook. The song spent six weeks at number one on the U.S. R&B chart and peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for three weeks behind "Smooth" by Santana featuring Rob Thomas. 


The song was co-written by both Combs and R. Kelly, with additional writing by R&B singer Kelly Price, who performs backing vocals. The song's beat and bassline is taken from "I Got 5 on It" by Luniz, which itself interpolates Club Nouveau's "Why You Treat Me So Bad" among others. In contrast to the original song's subject matter, which is about marijuana.

Kanye West Documentary Bought by Netflix


According to reports, Netflix has purchased the rights to a new Kanye West documentary film that is 21-years in the making. 

Directors Clarence “Coodie” Simmons and Chike Ozah compiled archival footage spanning Ye's 20+ year career and will feature never-before-seen footage of Kanye West from the '90s. It's reported that the film was sold to the streaming giant for $30 million. 

Coodie and Chike have worked with Kanye West for quite a while and directed some of his earlier videos, namely a version of "Jesus Walks" and they helped co-direct "Through the Wire." 

The title of the project has not been disclosed, but Billboard reports it will debut later this year.

The ‘Watch the Throne’ cut has officially sold eight million units

 


The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) certified the track on March 22, confirming that the collab has sold a whopping eight million units since its release. 


The single first sold 500,000 units in December 2011 to go gold, then was certified platinum and double platinum in February 2012 when it sold 2 million units. It continued to go multi-platinum in December 2012, November 2013, December 2014 and March 2018.
