Whats Your Favorite Taylor Swift Song?

Taylor Swift has set the tone by being apart of two awards at the VMAs, but i'm sure fans have way more to say than just that.

She is known for narrative songs about her personal life, which have received widespread media coverage. Born and raised in Pennsylvania, Swift moved to Nashville, Tennessee at the age of 14 to pursue a career in country music.

Taylor Swift currently has an estimated net worth of $360 million, which has grown due to her music, merchandise, and endorsements. The superstar's new album has plenty that will please her fans as well as songs for those who are new to her music.

With all that's going on in her lifestyle and musical career, the Wrap-Up Magazine would like to know "Whats Your Favorite Song" from the female artist. Taylor Swift has released seven studio albums, five extended plays (EP), one live album, one compilation album, four video albums, 52 singles (including three as a featured artist), 16 promotional singles, and 44 music videos.

Members of the Wrap-Up Magazine chose "Blank Space" as there most liked track from Taylor Swift.

The lyrics of the song deal in a satirical way with the press' obsession with Taylor Swift's romantic relationships. According to Swift, she wrote the song in response to the media's perception of her as a serial dater who writes songs as a way to achieve some sort of “emotional revenge” on her former boyfriends.

Lil Wayne Tops All Mixtapes For 2018

It's time to rate all mix-tapes that were released in 2018 from Lil Wayne, to Meek Mill. Over the past decade, mix-tapes have become just as important as albums.

New albums by your favorite artist are always exciting, but mixtapes can have their own appeal. A mixtape is sometimes part of a promotion for a larger upcoming project, or a way to hold fans over if an artist is busy and unable to release a full-blown album for the foreseeable future.

What If Biggie and Tupac Were Still Alive?

If Biggie and Tupac were still alive, would half the rappers that's in the music industry be there? Would Jay-Z or Nas gotten as far as they did?

What if both artist would be less relevant if they were alive? Many say their deaths cause the impact of there music being as great as it is, but I feel otherwise.

Tupac's All Eyez on Me album was one of the greatest albums of the 90's if you ask me. All cultures was buying this album and it sold through the roof. Shakur has sold over 75 million records worldwide, so think how many it would be if he never was killed.

Death sells records. As sales of posthumous albums by murdered stars the Notorious B.I.G., Tupac Shakur and Selena have shown, it is increasingly easy to become No. 1 with a bullet.

For instance, the Notorious B.I.G.'s "Life After Death" album, released just two weeks after B.I.G. (Christopher Wallace, a k a Biggie Smalls) was gunned down in Los Angeles, sold 685,000 copies the first week.

In the week after Smalls's death, about 10,000 copies of his 1994 debut, "Ready to Die," were sold, now compare that to Tupac Shakur, who sold 67,000 records in the week following his murder.

Would Tupac and Biggie be considered GOAT rappers if they weren’t killed? What if they were still alive today, would there be mumble rappers? Just think. would the industry have to search so hard for that next big hit? Would album sales have fallen?

Do you think Tupac and Biggie would have settled the beef? How much would be different? Would they still be remembered and praised the same way they are now?

Will Migos Call It Quits?

It's been over a year since Migos dropped there last album, and the way it looks, fans won't be getting another until 2020. Are they having problems with coming up with another hit? Or is it that there previous singles are still doing good?

Although, Migos may be still soaking up the fame and fortune. Why not keep fans waiting if your streams are still doing numbers?

One signal that the group might go there separate ways is the release of their solo albums. With the hype of the media trying to figure out which rapper is the best, this could cause conflict between the group.

We've seen this happen over and over again with music groups. This is the biggest signal to the end of a group. Solo albums brings more popularity and more money for the artist.

Another signal Migos may be coming to a end is when Offset announced he was dating Cardi B. That's a move that will lead Offset to raise his net worth.

So what do you think about whats going on with Migos? Do you think the upcoming album Culture III is having problem producing hits to match the previous release? Lets debate.

Why Did No Limit Records Breakup?

In 2004, the reorganized label had moved to Koch Records for distribution. From 2004 to 2005, The New No Limit Records issued new albums by Master P, Silkk the Shocker, C-Murder, Lil' Romeo and the reformed TRU.

These are just a few events that happened during the rise of No Limit Records. Percy “Master P” Miller had one of the most historic runs in Hip-Hop with his No Limit Records enterprise. Beginning in the early 1990s.

In 1999, Kane & Abel left from No Limit Records and started their own label entitled, Most Wanted Empire, later securing a new label deal with Elektra Records. On September 21, 1999, Kane & Abel released their fourth album, Rise to Power.

Best Buy Shut Down Music Department

As of July 1st, Best Buy officially ceased sales of physical CDs at all stores nationwide. The electronics retail giant will no longer offer compact discs due to a major decrease in sales. According to ABC, sales decreased by 18.5% in 2017, which is a perfect example of the growing power of streaming services such as Apple Music, Spotify, Tidal, among others, at work.

While CDs have begun to become a thing of the past throughout the last several years, vinyl copies of songs and albums will still remain on Best Buy shelves for at least a couple more years, as they continue to quench the nostalgia of music lovers. According to the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), vinyl sales were up 3% in 2016. The RIAA has also reported that in 2016, streaming alone generated more revenue in the United States music business than all other formats combined for the first time ever. Target is expected to be the second retail giant to begin selling fewer amounts of CDs in upcoming months.

Taylor Swift Is The Woman With The Most Hot 100 Hits

For the second time in 2020, Taylor Swift dominates both the Billboard 200 albums chart and the Hot 100 singles ranking simultaneously, as she debuts new titles atop both those lists (among many others). As if leading the charge on the two most important Billboard rosters wasn’t enough of a show of dominance, the singer-songwriter occupies more space on the songs tally than anyone else, and thanks to a slew of new wins, she grabs one of the most coveted honors ever from the most successful female rapper of all time.

This week, Swift debuts 15 songs on the Hot 100, an incredible showing for any artist, and one she’s managed before. Every song featured on her surprise new album Evermore finds its way to the ranking of the most-consumed tunes in the U.S., upping her count considerably.

With 15 new Hot 100 hits to her credit, Swift’s career sum rises to 128 total placements, enough to put her in fourth place on the list of the musicians who have appeared on the tally the most often. In stepping up on that important ranking, the former country favorite jumps over two acts, Future and Nicki Minaj, and it's the second name that helps the “Cardigan” singer make history in one more fashion.

How Master P Survived A Decade Of Music

When Master P first entered the music industry, it was never about music. Percy Miller is a business man all the way around the board.

The No Limit Soldiers kept the music industry on lock by releasing new content every month. Upon arrival with his debut album "Bout It Bout It" Master P had the largest movie and soundtrack surfacing during that time.

Back in 2014, in an interview with VladTV, Master P recently claimed to have sold as many as 75 million albums during his tenure with No Limit Records. Having gained immense popularity in his musical career, Master P is also the CEO of P. Miller Enterprises. As of 2018, Master P's net worth is roughly $250 million.

Master P and the No Limit Soldiers was the hottest rap group until Cash Money records hit the scene to slow down their record sales. Master P created a hip-hop empire without registering on any mainstream radar. For several years, he operated solely in the rap underground.

Beginning in the early 1990s, the New Orleans native dominated the landscape for much of the decade with a staggering amount of product. Although many associate P with The Big Easy, he established the No Limit brand in Northern California.

Shifting the label to New Orleans, P signed Mystikal, Kane & Abel, Mia-X, the late Soulja Slim and former Death Row artist Snoop Dogg.

It wasn’t all music with Master P, as the mogul’s film company continues to release films independently in DVD format to this day. P has been engaged in several business ventures over the years and the introduction of the digital-only No Limit Forever record entity only solidifies he’s not going anywhere soon.

Why Nelly And KRS-One Rap Beef Happened

In 2002, Nelly was one of hip-hop's biggest stars. His 2000 breakout debut, Country Grammar, sold nine million records.

Old school boom-bap rap pioneer, KRS-One, who had earned a reputation not just for his community-conscious lyrics but for never shying away from a lyrical showdown, called Nelly out.

KRS— who by that time had already proclaimed himself to be a keeper of classic hip-hop— voiced his discontent with Nelly on the track "Clear Em Out" from the compilation The Difference.

The song was aimed at pop-rap, and given his success as hip-hop's reigning top-seller at the time. Nelly took offense. He'd just dropped the track "#1" from the Training Day soundtrack, where he was defending his right to reign on top of the charts.

"He had to defend himself. He's like, 'My career probably wouldn't be here if it wasn't for KRS-One,' that's what Nelly is on. My man got tired of critics and made a song '#1.' He wasn't specifically talking about nobody, but if the shoe fits, wear it."

KRS claimed he even sent an email to Nelly's camp, explaining there was no beef and he wasn't interested in getting into it with the St. Louis star. Nelly didn't get the memo, however, and in response, recorded a verse on the Freeway's "Roc the Mic" remix, on which he called out the veteran rhymer, letter by letter.

KRS responded by calling for an actual boycott of Nelly's album, Nellyville, which was scheduled to drop that June 2002, dramatically declaring himself a "sovereign power" in the process. Nelly challenged a sovereign power.

Needless to say, the whole boycott thing didn't exactly pan out the way KRS had hoped. June 25, 2002, rolled around, Nelly dropped Nellyville, and the entire world danced to the album's monster hit, "Hot in Herre." Nellyville ended up selling over 6 million albums and it stands as the 14th best-selling rap album of all time.

Lil Wayne Suing Universal Music Group

Lil Wayne claims that he’s owed tens of millions of dollars for discovering and nurturing artists such as Drake, Nicki Minaj and Tyga. In the latest episode of his ongoing legal drama with the recording company, Lil Wayne, or Dwayne Carter Jr., claims that Universal Music Group is paying itself instead of paying the royalties it owes him, who filed a federal lawsuit. As The Hollywood Reporter points out, Carter claims that Universal has diverted tens of millions of dollars of his profits to repay itself for the $100 million USD it advanced to Cash Money Records, Inc.
