Freeway Ricky speaks on earning $100K within his first six months of selling drugs by the age of 20, noting that he never planned on making more than $5K. Hip-Hop mogul Russell Simmons has listed his $8.25 million Los Angeles home for sale amid mounting sexual assault accusations. In addition to his home, Simmons is reportedly unloading his yoga studio in LA and a $9.92 million penthouse in New York City's Financial District.

Sources say that Simmons is spending quite a bit of time in Bali amid the allegations. Bali, a province of Indonesia, has no extradition treaty with America which some are speculating is Simmons reasoning for being there. However, a spokesperson for Simmons stated that he remains US-based and that he is merely traveling more.

"Russell divested himself of his active U.S. business interests last year to focus on his spiritual practice and serving his community, [...] As part of that journey, Russell has traveled to many spiritual destinations around the world but continues to retain active family presence and residence in the U.S."

At the moment, more than a dozen women have come forward accusing the rap mogul of sexual misconduct and assault that dates back to the early 1980s. After the initial accusers came forward, Simmons stepped down from his posts at All Def Digital, Def Pictures, and his yoga lifestyle brand, Tantris.

In his resignation statement, Simmons said his companies would be run by a diverse group of culture-moving executives and that he would take his time away to commit himself to “personal growth, spiritual learning and above all to listening.”

The First Killing In California Prison In 20 Years

An inmate facing a death sentence for killing a 14-year-old girl was stabbed to death while in the recreation yard of the San Quentin State Prison.

Jonathan Fajardo, 30, who was on death row for first-degree-murder in connection with the racially charged shooting death of Cheryl Green in Los Angeles, was stabbed in his chest and neck in the East Block Housing Unit recreation yard of the prison just before 10 a.m., according to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.

Luis Rodriguez, 34, was identified by prison officials as the suspect in Fajardo’s fatal stabbing. Officials said Rodriguez, who was also on death row, made the weapon used in the attack. Officials did not immediately release a potential motive in the stabbing.

Prison officials said Rodriguez had been facing a death sentence on two counts of first-degree murder with special circumstances at the time of the Friday’s attack. He started his sentence on September 30, 2015.

Magic Johnson gave his two cents on Donald Trump's controversial travel ban, on Sunday night [Jan. 29], saying that it is "not who we are as Americans." He also directed some sharp words at the President, with a warning that he remember he is legislating over democracy.

"It’s just not a good time. He’s gotta learn you can’t just be a dictator. We’ve never had a president like that. We’ve always had a president who brought the country together and brought all people together. That’s what we need today, right now, and we’re not getting that," Johnson told a TMZ reporter while exiting the W Hotel in Los Angeles.

The Trump Administration has moved quickly to deliver on the promises he made to his base over the course of his campaign. The executive order, which denies all refugees entry into the U.S. for a four month period, blocks citizens from seven Middle Eastern and African countries for the next 90-days and instills a ban on refugees from Syria indefinitely, which comes days after he signed an order to begin construction on a Mexican border wall. Johnson touched on each of those decisions, while also raising the plight of African-Americans and women.

+Marvin gaye family has won against +Robin Thicke +T.I. and +Pharrell Williams in the "Blurred Lines" copyright case. Marvin Gaye’s children have settled claims against a music company owned by Sony over Robin Thicke’s Grammy-nominated hit song Blurred Lines.The Gayes had accused EMI of not pursuing a copyright infringement case against Thicke because Blurred Lines has similarities to Gaye’s Got to Give It Up.

A Los Angeles judge on Tuesday granted Nona Marvisa Gaye and Frankie Christian Gaye’s dismissal of their lawsuit against EMI, which is owned by Sony/ATV Music Publishing. Documents say the Gayes and Sony have an agreement and claims against Sony can’t be brought again.Terms of the settlement weren’t disclosed. Dueling lawsuits between the Gaye family and Thicke remain active.

Thicke and his collaborators T.I. and Pharrell Williams asked a federal judge in August to rule they didn’t copy Got to Give It Up for Blurred Lines, which is nominated for record of the year and other awards at the Jan. 26 Grammy Awards. Their song has sold 6.6 million tracks and was last year’s biggest hit. It spent 12 weeks on top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart.Gaye’s children accused the performers in October of copying elements of his music for Blurred Lines.

Their lawsuit sought to block Thicke from using elements of their father’s music in other songs and claimed Thicke improperly used Gaye’s After the Dance for his No. 1 R&B hit Love After War.Representatives for Sony, Thicke and the Gaye family didn’t immediately reply to emails seeking comment on Tuesday.Marvin Gaye, whose other hit songs include Sexual Healing and Let’s Get It On, was shot dead by his father in 1984.

Biker Gang Shootout

An alleged group of Hells Angels and Mongols were involved in a high speed chase as they fired shots at each other. One biker died, while two others suffered gunshot wounds and were hospitalized. No arrests have been made so far. Sons of Anarchy began its final season earlier this month, and as the fictional bikers were involved in numerous gunfights creating a body count Rambo would be proud of, many viewers were starting to think the show had completely lost touch with reality.

Two of the victims were part of the Mongols gang and residents of Corona. The Highway Patrol told the Los Angeles Times that, “Several 911 callers said rival motorcycle gangs, the Mongols and the Hells Angels, were shooting at each other.” Both motorcycle clubs were in the area to hold biker rallies. Hells Angels members had a rally at their Lake Elsinore meeting spot on Saturday afternoon and the Mongols were to have a similar rally in Riverside at night.

The two biker clubs were at it in 2002, when they were involved in a shootout at the Harrah's Laughlin Casino in Laughlin, Nevada, that left three members dead. Mongol Anthony 'Bronson' Barrera, 43, was stabbed to death, and Hells Angels Jeramie Bell, 27, and Robert Tumelty, 50, were shot to death.

Diddy And Cassie Breakup

It appears as though Diddy and Cassie have once again called it quits.  This, according to TMZ, whose sources obtained a domestic incident report that details their falling out during an argument that escalated to the involvement of police on Wednesday, August 17.

The incident was said to have unraveled on Wednesday afternoon after the 29-year-old singer/actress confessed her desire to leave the rap mogul.  Diddy is said to have snatched her phone at some point during their argument and scrolled through before leaving the vehicle with the phone.  Cassie is said to have then abandoned him at the Beverly Hills location, arriving home to contact her mother who then dialed authorities to report the confrontation.  Upon finding his way back to their Los Angeles residence, Diddy is believed to have returned the phone, then left, taking two cars with him.

No word has been put out on the official status of their relationship.  Diddy and Cassie have been known to break up and get back together again.  No charges were pressed over the incident.
