LittleBits Teams Up With NASA

+littlebitz has teamed up with +NASA to teach youngsters about space travel. littleBits is an opensource library of electronic modules that snap together with magnets for prototyping, learning and fun. Without a way for people to openly share and iterate on each other’s work without fear of repercussion.

Along with others in the fledgling open hardware industry, Bdeir helped to launch the first Open Hardware Summit in 2010, where hundreds of attendees converged on New York City to not only showcase their own open-source projects, but to provide input on the future of open hardware design.

As a figure in the open-source community, Bdier also actively worked on what would become Open Source Hardware Definition 1.0, which remains the foundation for open-source hardware guidelines. The definition gives freedom to inventors who wish to tweak, expand, or otherwise use designs that bear the open-source hardware logo, and is one of the single greatest steps toward an open hardware future so far.

Will Kanye West Surpass Jay-Z?

For the better part of hip-hop’s existence, it was solely considered a genre of music. We now recognize the larger cultural movement surrounding the New York-bred art form as a leading force driving growth in fashion, entertainment, food and beverage, and technology. As a result, the top 10 highest earners of 2019 on Forbes’ annual list of hip-hop’s richest account for a staggering $633,500,000 in combined earnings. And for the first time in his career, Kanye West ($150 million) has outpaced the rest of his competitors to take the top spot — leapfrogging JAY-Z by $69 million.

It was certainly a banner year for West, especially considering he claimed to be $56 million in debt just over three years ago. While earning the top spot is certainly noteworthy, his income jumped dramatically between 2018 and 2019, accounting for a net increase of $122,500,000. Although the entire industry had a great year — with the top 20 acts’ revenue increasing by 33 percent since 2018 — the huge financial increase poses an interesting question: with an album on the way, YEEZY accounting for $1.5 billion in annual sales, and a track record of exploring radical projects, will Kanye West be joining JAY-Z in the billionaire’s club?

Taylor Swift Is The Woman With The Most Hot 100 Hits

For the second time in 2020, Taylor Swift dominates both the Billboard 200 albums chart and the Hot 100 singles ranking simultaneously, as she debuts new titles atop both those lists (among many others). As if leading the charge on the two most important Billboard rosters wasn’t enough of a show of dominance, the singer-songwriter occupies more space on the songs tally than anyone else, and thanks to a slew of new wins, she grabs one of the most coveted honors ever from the most successful female rapper of all time.

This week, Swift debuts 15 songs on the Hot 100, an incredible showing for any artist, and one she’s managed before. Every song featured on her surprise new album Evermore finds its way to the ranking of the most-consumed tunes in the U.S., upping her count considerably.

With 15 new Hot 100 hits to her credit, Swift’s career sum rises to 128 total placements, enough to put her in fourth place on the list of the musicians who have appeared on the tally the most often. In stepping up on that important ranking, the former country favorite jumps over two acts, Future and Nicki Minaj, and it's the second name that helps the “Cardigan” singer make history in one more fashion.

Katy Perry On Music Direction

+Katy Perry is set to release her new album ‘Prism’ on October 28 but, in an interview with Billboard, she claimed she was planning on swapping her trademark pop sound for a folkier direction in the future.

Katy Perry has said that she will “turn into more of a Joni Mitchell” as her career progresses. As I inch towards my 30s, I think my fourth record will be more of an acoustic guitar album. That’s where I started when I was first discovered by Glen Ballard and got my first record deal.” +Katy Perry +Joni Mitchell

Cat Makes $100 Million

How would you feel if you woke up and found out your cat had made $100 million dollars? You see, there’s something about miserable-looking cats that makes people feel uncontrolled emotions. So much so that the most famous Grumpy Cat of all was alleged this morning to have earned in the region of $100 million. Of course that’s not true, but stay with me for a while. Its owner isn’t poor.

The Express reported the figure. Grumpy’s owner, 28-year-old Tabatha Bundesen of Morristown, Ariz., was quoted as saying she’s overjoyed about Grumpy’s success.

The Express also quoted her as saying: “I was able to quit my job as a waitress within days of her first appearance on social media and the phone simply hasn’t stopped ringing since.” She described Grumpy ascent to stardom as “unstoppable.” And Grumpy’s still less than 3 years old. So the future is unlikely to be catastrophic.

It’s unclear, though, which part of Grumpy’s vast performance portfolio — the pictures, the personal appearances, the sponsorships and, well, the pictures — has earned her the most money.

Bundesen has told The Huffington Post that the $100 million figure is “wildly inaccurate.” The miserable-looking little thing is, though, something of a money-spinner.

Grumpy’s real name is Tardar Sauce. She looks the way she does because she has feline dwarfism, as well as an underbite.

She has more than 7 million likes on Facebook. Justin Bieber, however, has more than 72 million. She has more than 256,000 followers on Twitter. Bieber has more than 57 million. Forbes estimates that Bieber made around $80 million last year.

Since When Did Smoking Marijuana Start Causing Health Problems

Every since loud, and Government produced Marijuana hit the streets, it has become a epidemic like Crack. I was born in the early 80's and we have never had a problem with Marijuana until now.

Recently: Marijuana ER Visits Spike

Researchers reported that emergency departments across the state saw a sharp spike in marijuana-related visits after recreational use of pot products was made legal.

I'm not trying to say that this is something that's being pushed by a higher power, but people need to open there eyes up.

While nearly 11 percent of emergency visits were attributable to edible marijuana, only 0.32 percent of total marijuana sales in the state were for edible products. Emergency department visits for psychiatric events and cardiovascular symptoms were more likely to be due to edible marijuana than inhaled marijuana.

They said that the slower rate of absorption of THC in edible products compared with inhalable products makes it harder for users of edible cannabis to gauge the doses required to get the desired high.

Future research into the effects of marijuana should focus on THC and cannabinoid content, how it's taken, doses consumed, sex, age, body mass index, and the medical conditions for which it might be prescribed.

Would You Like To See A Nas And Jay-Z Collaborate Again?

The history of Jay-Z and Nas beef will be talked about for years to come. It seems like it was just yesterday when Nas and Jay-Z were involved in the what some may call the greatest Hip-Hop battle of all time.

It seems that Jay-Z and Nas have put all of that behind them. In 2006, Nas was good enough for Jay-Z to sign him to a $3 Million dollar record deal. Even Fat Joe and Jim Jones have a long-standing history with JAY-Z, having beefed with him in the early 2000s.

Until we hear otherwise, let's look at past Jay-Z and Nas collaborations and beef and talk in today's terms. What if they were to collaborate again in the near future. Do you think they would produce there best work yet? Or do you feel it would only end up as it did the first time?

Did You Know Young Thug Had Children

This even took me by surprise, but I guess a'lot of gay men do it to cover things up. Young Thug is no stranger to a Twitter rant. He got involved in a beef with longtime collaborator Metro Boomin just a few weeks ago, though things were quickly patched up.

Tidal CEO Steps Down

Jay-Z may recently encountered some problems with Tidal with his CEO Andy Chen stepping down. JAY Z’s music streaming site TIDAL is still afloat in recent news as CEO Andy Chen leaves and steps down from his title with Aspiro Group, the company that JAY Z recently acquired for TIDAL and WiMP.

TIDAL’s new interum [sic] CEO is Peter Tonstad – a former CEO of parent company Aspiro Group. He has a better understanding of the industry and a clear vision for how the company is looking to change the status quo. He’s streamlining resources to ensure talent is maximized to enhance the customer experience.

We’ve eliminated a handful of positions and refocused our company-wide talent to address departments that need support and cut redundancies. TIDAL’s offices globally will remain and grow: we are already hirinig for several new positions now. We’re excited about our future and what’s in-store for fans who want the best listening experience.

What Happened To Lil Flip?

Texas had a big impact on the music scene in the mid 2000's and Lil Flip was a big part of the movement. Lil’ Flip these days is perhaps most well known for his feud with fellow rapper T.I.

Flip started rapping for Suckafree Records out of Houston, Texas, when he was 18, in 1999. He released his first album, The Leprechaun, the next year. Eventually selling more than 200,000 copies, it featured the hit single “I Can Do Dat.”

The single, “The Way We Ball,” helped propel Lil’ Flip into the national spotlight. The rapper was also able to work with Yung Wun, Ludacris, and Three 6 Mafia that year. This gave him the clout necessary to create U Gotta Feel Me, a double-disc album released in 2004, distributed by Sony Urban Music.

Lil Flip went on to start his own record label, which he named Clover G Records, after Cloverland, Lil’ Flip’s home neighborhood in Houston.

While T.I. was incarcerated for parole violations, Lil’ Flip used the opportunity to object to T.I. calling himself “King of the South.” The heavily publicized feud led to T.I. going to Cloverland, to expose Lil’ Flip as a fraud. When T.I. arrived in the neighborhood with his crew, Lil’ Flip approached him with his respective crew.
