P. Diddy, R. Kelly - Satisfy You #Throwback

"Satisfy You", released on October 13, 1999, is a number-one R&B single by American hip-hop artist and producer Puff Daddy and features vocals by American R&B singer-songwriter R. Kelly on the hook. The song spent six weeks at number one on the U.S. R&B chart and peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for three weeks behind "Smooth" by Santana featuring Rob Thomas.

The song was co-written by both Combs and R. Kelly, with additional writing by R&B singer Kelly Price, who performs backing vocals. The song's beat and bassline is taken from "I Got 5 on It" by Luniz, which itself interpolates Club Nouveau's "Why You Treat Me So Bad" among others. In contrast to the original song's subject matter, which is about marijuana.

Mariah Carey Talks The Notorious B.I.G. and More

Carey sat down for an interview with DJ Suss One on Power 105. 1 on Wednesday (Nov. 21) to promote her new album Caution. Between talking about the album and reminiscing about old times, the topic of Biggie's near appearance on the "Honey (Remix)" was brought up around the 11:25 mark.

Mariah Carey has a number of notable crossover hip-hop collabs in her long singing career. One of the most notable has to be the Bad Boy version of her 1997 "Honey (Remix)." The original, produced by Diddy, Q-Tip and Stevie J, featured Ma$e and The LOX, but according to the singing legend, The Notorious B.I.G. was actually supposed to appear on the track.

"He had the 'Dreams' record out at the time," she said, referring to the song where Big fantasizes about industry women but takes a shot at Carey with the line, "Mariah Carey kinda scary." "I was always like, 'Why did he have to say that?' Then someone, I'm not going to mention, a prominent rapper, said, 'He meant that as a compliment.' I was like, 'Okay, if you said it, I'll take it that way.'"

Things were looking up after Carey and Big talked things out. "Puff put me on the phone with [Biggie]. I don't even know if [Puff] remembers this. This was at the Hit Factory. He was like, 'I didn't mean it, it's all love.' And he was gonna get on the record and he passed away."

Eminem Drops MGK Diss 'Killshot'

Eminem
Eminem has released his response to MGK’s “Rap Devil” with his own on record decimation, “Kill Shot.” The four-minute record takes aim at several lines spit by MGK, including the line that calling out Em for not visiting his hometown.

Although Eminem makes a point to show love to Diddy at the end of the track saying, “Oh, and I’m just playin’, Diddy. You know I love you,” some Hip-Hop fans didn’t take too kindly towards the Tupac line.

Eminem Is About To Give It All He Got Again

MGK set the rap world ablaze when he dropped his diss record, “Rap Devil”, in response to Eminem’s initial diss “calling Eminem washed up with misplaced anger and also accused the Detroit veteran of blackballing him in the industry over a tweet in 2012 about his daughter.

G-Eazy Disses MGK In New Track

On the song, which was produced by Blizzy, Dakari and Grasserbeats, the Bay Area rapper wastes no time cutting into what he feels to be the heart of the beef: jealousy.

Elsewhere on the new song, G-Eazy claps back at MGK for claiming he'd hooked up with one of his past girlfriends. He also spotlights MGK's perceived commercial fall-off and what he feels is a lack of love from Diddy, who is the founder of MGK's record label, Bad Boy Entertainment.

Diddy Has Become Hip Hop's First Billionaire

"A young boy from Harlem, I couldn't even be a waiter. They didn't want me to be a waiter, so you know what I did? I became a billionaire."

Diddy took to the internet to announce that he has become Hip-Hop's first billionaire. Diddy has an impressive body of work in terms of his companies, with Ciroc Vodka, Bad Boy Records (now partnered with Epic Records), Revolt TV, Sean John, and AQUAhydrate all doing well. Puffy also makes sure he gives back, recently opening a charter school in Harlem. Dr. Dre comes in second with a cool 700 million and HOV in third with about 610 million. Watch the video here! Any thoughts?

Diddy recently topped Forbes' list for top earners in hip hop (something he's getting used to doing by this point), and thus sat down with the people at Forbes to discuss his business model, how much he has in the bank, and his potential to become rap's first billionaire.

When asked if he felt he would become the first rapper to hit the 9 figure mark, Puff said he couldn't be sure, but stressed that he would remain humble no matter the outcome. "I can't deny how humbling... how proud I am to be from Harlem, New York, to be from the inner-city and be on the Forbes list," he said. "But it doesn't define me-- whether I become a billionaire, or whatever my status is."

He also made sure to clear the air that the numbers Forbes reports him to have are not reflective of what he has in the bank, and more likely have to do with his assets. "First of all I do want to say to the Forbes cameras, I'm going to tell you that I don't have that money in the bank." he said, half-jokingly. "I want to make sure y’all are clear on that. I have no problem with saying that. If that pushes me down on the list, I’m okay with that.”

Diddy Reigns Supreme As Hip-Hop Cash Kings

Forbes is back with their Hip-Hop Cash Kings list, and for the second consecutive year, Diddy reigns supreme. The hip-hop mogul sits atop the list, raking in a cool $62 million over the past year. Much of the money isn't from music, but rather his very lucrative Ciroc vodka deal and other ventures. However, he hasn't let the stage entirely as his Bad Boy Reunion Tour runs through the fall.
