Why The World Needs To Go On Lockdown


It's 2021 and a plague has been killing off thousand in every country. There has been no effective way to combat the disease.


As countries around the world tighten lockdowns, impose curfews, ban large get-togethers and even halt alcohol sales to tackle a surge in coronavirus cases, officials in India and the U.S. announced some progress toward expanded immunization campaigns as infections rates continued to climb on multiple continents.


In the U.S., the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Saturday said the country had administered more than 4.2 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines nationwide and had distributed more than 13 million doses.

Brodie Wagenen Named Chief Operating Officer of Roc Nation Sports

 


Former Mets general manager Brodie Van Wagenen is joining Jay-Z's  Sports as the company's chief operating officer, Van Wagenen announced.


Van Wagenen worked with Roc Nation when he was the co-head of Creative Arts Agency's baseball division. Van Wagenen took the Mets job in October 2018 and left the agency.


"We believed in the vision Jay and [Juan Perez] had back in 2013," Van Wagenen told ESPN's Jeff Passan. "We've stayed in constant contact with them. It was a natural homecoming."

Gucci Mane Stars in Beyoncé's Icy Park Campaign

 


The singer has tapped Gucci Mane to front Icy Park, the latest drop in her adidas x Ivy Park collection. The size-inclusive line features apparel, footwear, and accessories that combine “alpine-inspired elements with classic streetwear references,” according to WWD.


In the teaser video, Gucci keeps his face hidden while donning a wintery wardrobe including robe, metallic puffer jacket, and plenty of ice. The East Atlanta Santa also shows off his all-white Ivy Park drip and new Super Sleek Boot in a photo from the campaign. Bey continues the all-white theme while seated on a ski lift in her promo image.

During the episode, the Queen revealed why she has yet to collaborate with King Kendrick. “The reason why I haven't collaborated with Kendrick Lamar yet is because he don't want to get washed,” joked Nicki.


She went on to express her admiration for the Pulitzer Prize-winning rapper. “I’m a big fan of him and his talent and I’m looking forward to collaborating with him one day hopefully because he’s animated and I like the animation. And also, he just respects the craft of rap and at this time right now…” she laughed before trailing off.

Lil Wayne Joins Jay-z In Cannabis Business

 


Weezy forayed into the cannabis business with his GKUA Ultra Premium brand in 2019, but will officially launch in Colorado on Wednesday (January 27).


“GKUA is about inspiring people, it’s about a feeling,” the New Orleans legend explained in a statement. “Now Colorado will get to experience the quality and potency of that GKUA.”


The first GKUA line of cannabis products originally launched in California in December of 2019. After landing in Michigan in 2020, they will now expand to their third state this week with Colorado set to open its doors to 32 different dispensaries across the state, which can be found using the Weezy Weed Finder.

Jennifer Lopez Talks Therapy and How To Love Herself

 


Even though Jennifer Lopez has always projected confidence, she said it took her a while to find out what self-love truly is. While talking to Jay Shetty on Coach Conversations, J. Lo revealed how therapy helped her find herself in a way she never imagined.


"I remember when I was going through therapy, in the beginning, kind of in my late 30s, and there was a lot of talk about loving yourself," she said. "And I was like, 'I love myself.' But obviously, I was doing all these things, like my personal relationships didn't seem like I was loving myself."


"I didn't even understand the concept of it," the “All I Have” singer added. "It took time and it's a journey, and it's still a journey for me."
