The star, 51, revealed during Variety's Power of Women Conversations by Lifetime Wednesday that she was typecast as "the maid, the dishwasher" earlier in her career.

"I was like, 'I don't want to do that,' " Lopez explained. "I had to kind of break out of that and convince somebody to put me in the first romantic comedy, which I think was 'The Wedding Planner.' (Director) Adam Shankman put me in that movie.'"

Jennifer Lopez Is Joining The Beauty Business

Jennifer Lopez's big announcement is finally here! The multi-talented star is officially launching her own beauty brand, J.Lo Beauty.

Lopez shared a sneak peek of the line with a post captioned "Sunset glow." In the photo, the singer wears a full face of makeup with blush, bronzer, eyeshadow, and lip gloss.

Not much else is known about J.Lo Beauty. At the beginning of the month, Lopez told fans she was shooting a video for her secret project. "I've been shooting a video for the past two days, and I should be sleeping right now," she says. "But I don't know, maybe I'm excited to get back to the set."

Jennifer Lopez Starts Her Own Shoe Line

Camuto Group today announced the launch of Jennifer Lopez, a shoe and bag collection created in partnership with the multi-hyphenate artist. The first batch of shoes will debut in spring 2020, with handbags to follow. Items will be available exclusively in Designer Shoe Warehouse stores and at DSW.com.

“There are so many facets to my career, and that’s what I wanted to bring to my collection with DSW. This collection represents three cities that have become such an important part of who I am: New York, Los Angeles, and Miami,” Lopez said in a release.

Who else better to be the new face of Versace other than Jennifer Lopez? Jennifer Lopez’s long-time relationship with Versace is coming full circle: The 50-year-old is representing the famous Italian fashion house’s Spring/Summer 2020 collection.

One photo features Lopez, who is engaged to baseball star Alex Rodriguez, sporting a green palm leaf suit with no shirt underneath, reminiscent of her iconic Versace dress which she wore to the 42nd Grammy Awards in 2000 with then-beau Sean “Diddy” Combs.

Kanye West Sues Lloyds Of London For $10 Million

Kanye West is looking to recoup money lost when he had to cancel dates on his 2016 Saint Pablo Tour. The rapper's company, Very Good Touring, has filed a $9.8 million lawsuit against Lloyds of London for failing to cover the funds lost on the crossed out dates.

TMZ reports that VTG claims in court documents that it had an insurance policy with Lloyds to cover cancellation or non-appearance fees. They blame West's alleged marijuana use for the cancelled dates. Very Good Touring says Lloyds has no proof to back up their accusation and is just looking for "any ostensible excuse no matter how fanciful" to deny payment on the policy.

Migos Accused Of Stealing

Migos may soon be ordered to cough up seven digits to a stylist who claims they never returned $20,000 worth of high-end fashion items that they borrowed during a 2016 video shoot.

Stylist Marcus Clark will look to collect over $1 million in damages in a lawsuit he is filing against the Atlanta trio, TMZ reports. Clark says that they walked off with the items they wore during their appearance on Niykee Heaton's "Bad Intentions" video, and never returned them, despite numerous attempts be Heaton to retrieve them. According to Clark, the last he heard anything from the Migos camp was when he got in contact with the group's manager, who allegedly responded to his request by telling him "That's over with."

Among the wardrobe pieces Clark says Migos took, were three Enfants Riches Déprimés shirts valued at $18,138 and two pairs of vintage sunglasses (Versace and Les Copains) worth $700. What are your thoughts?

Versace Sued By Employees

A former employee at a Pleasanton, California Versace store has filed a lawsuit accusing the high-end retailer of discrimination, not only against him, but towards its Black customers. 

The suit alleges that during his time as a clerk with the company, 23-year-old Christopher Sampiro was not afforded rest periods and was wrongfully terminated without having received payment for time worked. Sampiro also claims the store carried out a policy of having staff alert co-workers when a Black person entered the establishment by passing mention of it through a secret code.
