Introducing the Concept of Candy Pickles to the World
Entrepreneurs are people who establish new businesses by developing and implementing unique ideas. They take risks to create and manage profitable businesses by utilizing limited resources. Entrepreneurship typically starts with an idea or concept for a product or service that motivates an individual to transform that idea into a profitable business.
However, many businesses fail during the initial stages because entrepreneurs cannot go through with their ideas or lack the skills, expertise, and experience to take a company to new heights. Innovation is also essential for successful entrepreneurship because new products and innovations are necessary for a successful business. Entrepreneurs develop and run businesses with limited resources while fulfilling market demands and customer needs.

Why Is Alexis Texas Being Introduced To Our Hip-Hop Generation
Can someone pause for a second and let me know why Alexis Texas is being mentioned in the hip-hop industry? It is extremely rare to hear a rapper say “I’m fuckin' on pornstars” or something of the sort.
Rappers these days will talk about having sex with anyone. They rap about fucking models, foreign women, random hoes, YOUR bitch, and even in Future’s case, a district attorney.
Alexis Texas is an American pornographic actress, director, and featured dancer, so why is the hip-hop community talking about her? Are we sure this is what we want to teach our kids?
Just think of how many teens will google Alexis Texas name! This is not what I want my kids to learn through music. Just saying!

What Happened To Lil Flip?
Texas had a big impact on the music scene in the mid 2000's and Lil Flip was a big part of the movement. Lil’ Flip these days is perhaps most well known for his feud with fellow rapper T.I.
Flip started rapping for Suckafree Records out of Houston, Texas, when he was 18, in 1999. He released his first album, The Leprechaun, the next year. Eventually selling more than 200,000 copies, it featured the hit single “I Can Do Dat.”
The single, “The Way We Ball,” helped propel Lil’ Flip into the national spotlight. The rapper was also able to work with Yung Wun, Ludacris, and Three 6 Mafia that year. This gave him the clout necessary to create U Gotta Feel Me, a double-disc album released in 2004, distributed by Sony Urban Music.
Lil Flip went on to start his own record label, which he named Clover G Records, after Cloverland, Lil’ Flip’s home neighborhood in Houston.
While T.I. was incarcerated for parole violations, Lil’ Flip used the opportunity to object to T.I. calling himself “King of the South.” The heavily publicized feud led to T.I. going to Cloverland, to expose Lil’ Flip as a fraud. When T.I. arrived in the neighborhood with his crew, Lil’ Flip approached him with his respective crew.

Apple Set To Build New Headquarters In Texas
The iPhone maker had announced at the start of the year it would invest $30 billion in the United States, taking advantage of a tax windfall stemming from U.S. President Donald Trump's sweeping tax reforms.

The 133-acre campus in Austin will employ workers across various functions including engineering, R&D, operations and finance. The city is already home to the second largest number of Apple employees outside its headquarters in Cupertino, California.
Apple will also set up sites in Seattle, San Diego and Culver City, California and hire over 1,000 employees each in these locations, while also expanding operations in Pittsburgh, New York and Boulder, Colorado over the next three years.
Many American multinationals have been facing political pressure to ramp up investments at home as part of Trump's "America First" policies, which have left the United States embroiled in a bitter trade war with China. The president has also warned of tariffs on iPhones and other Apple products imported from China.
Apple's technology rival Amazon.com Inc (AMZN.O) last month ended a months-long search for its second headquarters, picking New York City and an area just outside Washington, D.C. for massive new offices, with plans to create thousands of jobs.
The new Austin campus will be located less than a mile away from Apple's existing facilities, and will first house 5,000 new employees with the capacity to expand to 15,000.

Prison Inmates Protest Modern Day Slavery
Back in May, an Alabama prison strike followed one that took place in Texas the month prior, thus, the act is not necessarily anything new per-se. But it is one of the first times in modern history that inmates across state borders have attempted to coordinate a nationwide demonstration. Plans for the national protest were born out of The Free Alabama Movement, whose members began circulating fliers inviting prisoners to come up with demands they would recommend for improving conditions.
Some of the typical jobs inmates hold include landscaping, kitchen work, and general cleaning. While wages in some prisons very from state to state, inmates in federal penitentiaries earn between 12 and 40 cents an hour. In Texas, Arkansas, and Georgia, prisoners do not get compensated at all for their labor. Even more disconcerting to activists is the fact that prisoners really have no choice but to accept the work they are given, or face repercussions. "Typically prisoners are required to work, and if they refuse to work, they can be punished by having their sentences lengthened and being placed in solitary confinement," Wright said Editor of Prison Legal News.
"We're realistic. We know that all our demands aren't going to be given to us," says organizer Phillip Ruiz of the Incarcerated Workers Organizing Committee. "The hope is that some concrete things develop as far as changing the conditions." He hopes the protest will send the message to prison authorities that "You guys aren't going to get away with what you're doing to prisoners anymore."

Employee Pays Woman's Bill At WalMart
Good hearts have been reaching out from all over. A Texas teenager’s kindness is encouraging others to pay it forward after he covered the tab of a Walmart shopper who wasn’t able to pay her grocery bill at the register.
John Lopez Jr., 19, took a job at a Princeton, Texas, Walmart in March to earn money to help pay for college. During one of his shifts, a shopper named Laci Simms spotted Lopez, who was working at the register, pay for another customer’s full cart of merchandise.
Simms snapped a photo of Lopez in action and used Facebook to praise the teenager, who “renewed her faith in humanity.” “I just witnessed this ‘kid’ pay for a cart of merchandise for a woman in obvious distress about her inability to pay,” Simms said. “She was a few people ahead of us and when she had trouble paying her bill he stepped in and told her if she’d wait he would pay her total.”

Will Food Stamps Get A Ban On Junk Food?
Now, governors in Maine, Tennessee, and Arkansas are looking to get the Trump Administration on board with the potential restriction of food stamp purchases. The Secretary of Agriculture under the Trump Administration has already given support for restructuring SNAP benefits for 44 million recipients.
Not everyone is in support of the potential regulation, as an executive director of the Cumberland County Food Security Council in Maine has spoken out against his governor's idea.
The director said, "It seems very contradictory to, on one hand, limit people's access to foods that have negative nutrition content and then to limit access to information to support them to make better choices about nutrition."
Update:
Texas bill would ban food stamp recipients from buying junk food, soda
House Bill 4364, filed by Texas state Rep. Briscoe Cain in March, would make food items such as candy and energy drinks ineligible to buy with food stamps.
The bill defines an energy drink as a beverage containing at least 65 milligrams of caffeine per eight fluid ounces and is advertised as "being specifically designed to provide metabolic stimulation or an increase to the consumer's mental or physical energy." Coffee or coffee-based beverages are not grouped in with this definition, according to the bill.
Sweetened beverages — meaning non-alcoholic drinks added with natural or artificial sweeteners such as soft drinks, fruits and vegetable juice and other flavored beverages — would also be included in the ban.
