"There's people like Jay-Z. He helped me when I was really, really, really down. Really, really, really down," Wayne said onstage in his address to the crowd. "Jay don't want me to tell nobody. That man helped me with my taxes. He's a real friend, y'all."

Yamin’s work as one half of Atlanta rap duo Clan Destined garnered them a 5 out of 5 rating from Creative Loafing for their album Self Titled. Did Nas & Jay-Z Have The Biggest Rap Beef Ever?

For a time, the intracity rivalry between Jay-Z and Nas appeared destined to end. The seeds of dispute were planted in 1996, when Nas failed to appear at a recording session for Jay's legendary debut album, Reasonable Doubt. Nas's sophomore record, released weeks after Jay's debut, included at least one line "inspired" by his rival.

The beef took another step in 1997 when Jay-Z anointed himself New York City's best MC following the death of The Notorious B.I.G. In 1999, Jay-Z associate Memphis Bleek took aim at Nas, and in 2001, Jay ripped into the Queensbridge product on "Takeover," a track from his sixth album The Blueprint.

Shawty Lo Killed

Atlanta rapper Carlos Walker aka Shawty Lo was killed in a car accident early this morning.  Shawty's car was hit by another vehicle on I-285 at Cascade Rd, hit two trees and then caught on fire.  During the accident, Lo was ejected from the car.  Two other people in the car were injured and sent to the hospital.

Shawty Lo was the founder of D4L along with Fabo, Stoney and Mook-B.  The group released the #1 hit single "Laffy Taffy" and "Betcha Can't Do It Like Me" which eventually earned them a gold album.  "Laffy Taffy" became the poster child for Atlanta's "Snap Music" scene which helped launch the careers of Soulja Boy, Yung Joc and Dem Franchize Boys.

Lo went on to launch the independent record label D4L ("Down for Life") and released the solo hit song "Dey Know" which earned him "Track of the Year" and "Rookie of the Year" trophies at the 2008 BET Hip-Hop Awards.  His singles "Dunn Dunn", "Foolish" and "Supplier" also cracked the charts.  His debut album "Units In The City" debuted at #2 on the Rap Album Chart.

Hit song maker Baby Bash, whose numerous hit songs include: “Suga Suga”, “Cyclone” and “Baby Im Back” with others will now be searching for the next big singing star. The popular artist has also written hit songs for Pitbull and Jennifer Lopez (J Lo). Baby Bash will work with personally selected artist’s one on one in the studio on producing and recording a song for the artists.
