Rapper/producer “Mally Mall” Rashid pleaded guilty Monday (Oct. 21) to operating a prostitution enterprise disguised as escort businesses, federal prosecutors and his defense attorneys said. Rashid, 44, faces prison time of at least one month, and up to 33 months when he is sentenced Jan. 21. His plea resolved a criminal case that became public following an FBI raid at his Las Vegas home in September 2014, U.S. Attorney Nicholas Trutanich and defense attorney David Chesnoff said. Rashid won’t have to register as a sex offender, both sides said. He pleaded guilty to one charge of using an interstate facility to aid unlawful activity, Trutanich said in a statement. Rashid admitted that for more than a decade he operated escort businesses that “induced and enticed numerous women to engage in prostitution,” Trutanich said. In some instances, prosecutors said Rashid’s credit card was used to pay airfare and other travel-related expenses for women he featured in advertisements for prostitution on paid websites such as Backpage and Eros. “We think this is a just resolution,” said Chesnoff, speaking for his client and Atlanta-based attorney Steven Sadow. “We’re pleased this matter has been resolved, as the allegations date back many, many years.” A California Bay Area native, Mall has worked with a variety of artists including Tyga, Justin Bieber, Usher and Sean Kingston. His 2013 collaboration with Tyga, “Molly,” reached No. 66 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Mall also was featured in the VH1 reality TV series Love and Hip Hop Hollywood. At the same time the FBI served warrants at his million-plus-dollar home southeast of the Las Vegas Strip, agents raided his business, Las Vegas Concierge VS1, just off the Strip.

Lady Gaga took to Twitter to announce that her Haus of Gaga store will officially open at the Park MGM in Las Vegas on May 30 to celebrate the return of her wildly popular Enigma residency. In order to keep the number of black people down at their hotel, Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada refused entry to rapper Meek Mills. The video shows a hotel security guard telling Mill he has to leave the premises, without providing a reason as to why. The hotel's response to the incident still did not provide a reason for Mill's ban. “As a matter of company policy, we do not comment on legal matters,” the hotel said in a statement. “Our guests' safety and security always remains our top priority.” An attorney for Mill has threatened legal action unless the hotel “promptly” apologizes and grants Mill access.
Walmart unveiled NextDay, a new initiative to offer more than 220,000 popular items for one-day delivery with a minimum order threshold of $35. Walmart is starting the program off in Las Vegas and Phoenix, with Southern California next up for expansion. Walmart plans to roll the program out gradually over the coming months and reach roughly 75 percent of the U.S. population this year, including 40 of the top 50 U.S. cities. The timing is interesting as it comes less than three weeks after Amazon said it would spend $800 million in the second quarter alone to make one-day delivery the standard for its Prime fast-shipping program. Walmart is on track to offer Grocery Pickup from 3,100 stores and same-day Grocery Delivery from 1,600 stores by the end of the year, which would cover approximately 80 percent and 50 percent of the U.S. population, respectively. Lima, Ohio has introduced their very own local celebrity Terry Watson in a major way. Terry Watson, known locally as the “Little Caesar’s Dancing Guy,” entertains passers-by on a daily basis with his sign spinning and dance routine. On May 4, the local celebrity took his talents from the parking lots of Lima to the big stage in Las Vegas, where he placed second in the Little Caesar’s shaker board contest.
The shaker board contest is a competition among Little Caesar’s restaurants across the U.S. and the world. Each franchise sends in a video of their “shaker board dancer” to the company’s corporate office, where a panel of executives reviews the tapes and selects three people to attend the international contest in Las Vegas.
Watson was chosen out of hundreds of applicants, and received an all-expenses-paid trip to compete during Little Caesar’s annual franchisee meeting. Watson said he was “shocked” that he was chosen, but his boss, Ron Massey, wasn’t the least bit surprised.
“He’s been close to the top three for the last couple years, and this year he finally made it to the big show,” said Massey, who owns Little Caesar’s restaurants on Cable Road and Calumet Avenue. “What makes him so good is he’s doing what he loves. If you have a passion for what you’re doing, you’re twice as good at it.”
Massey said Watson has a “thousand-watt smile that everyone loves,” and that it’s not uncommon for customers and passers-by to hand him money or Kewpee hamburgers.
“I call him the richest man in Lima,” Massey said.
Back at work Tuesday, Watson was only a few minutes into his routine before he started getting honks and waves from drivers passing by the restaurant. He said in the past, he’s had children take pictures with him and ask for his autograph.
“I just love interacting with people and seeing their smiles,” Watson said. “It makes me smile inside.”
Despite his celebrity status, Watson said he doesn’t let it go to his head.
“I’m not a celebrity,” he said with a smile, “I’m just Terry.”

Mayweather took to Instagram on Saturday morning to post a video in which he says he is coming out of retirement to fight in December. His potential opponent? Manny Pacquiao.
Mayweather made about $220 million from his May 2015 fight with Pacquiao and at the time posted a photo of a $100 million check — his guaranteed purse from the bout. The fight itself failed to reach many fans expectation and hopes as Mayweather toyed with Pacquiao for much of the fight.
Saturday’s Instagram posting includes a video of Mayweather and Pacquiao talking to each other at a music festival in Tokyo, although it is difficult to hear what the men are saying.
In another angle of the interaction, Pacquiao tells Mayweather, “I have the belt,” to which Mayweather responds, “I’m going to take it from you like I did before.”

TMZ reports that the 34-year old rapper, born Dwayne Carter, was found unconscious at the Westin Hotel in Chicago. He was taken to Northwestern Memorial hospital, where he had another seizure. Wayne's team wanted to have him discharged Sunday night so he could perform at Drai's Beachclub & Nightclub in Las Vegas later that evening, but doctors ruled against it.

Employees at a Washington Goodwill center were sorting through donations earlier this week when they came upon a cooler containing 60 ounces of marijuana.
Goodwill workers often attest to discovering odds and ends, at times recovering cash left in the pockets of pants and bags, but rarely is anything found in such abundance as was on Monday [March 13], in Monroe. "This is a reminder to check your purse, pockets, or cooler to make sure you're donating the items you mean to," Goodwill spokesperson Katherine Boury said following the incident.

Thus, whoever left the five large bags containing the drug would have stood to be prosecuted if they were busted with it in their possession. According to authorities who've attempted to track the cooler's owner down, many have suggested that the donation might have been theirs, but none have come forward with the admission. "There are many people on social media claiming it's theirs, but we have yet to have one walk through the door," said Debbie Willis of the Monroe Police Department.
Floyd Mayweather Jr. had a weekend to remember, celebrating his 40th birthday on Saturday night, February 25, with a bash that featured a $3,000 crystal cake, the attendance of everyone from Fat Joe to Bobby Brown, and performances by Justin Bieber and Mariah Carey [who sang Happy Birthday to him]. But while the weekend started on a high, it didn't end so well for the champ, who before long returned to Las Vegas to discover that his home had been burglarized.
According to reports, the perpetrators broke in through Mayweather's back room home office, leaving evidence of forced entry. The champ continues to take inventory as he discovers items that are missing, but he's already accounted for several purses and at least one watch being gone. He's so far been able to estimate the value of the stolen goods at around $150,000.
Authorities continuing to investigate for clues as to how those responsible were able to get into Floyd's property, which sits in a gated community off of a golf course.
