Taylor Swift Is The Woman With The Most Hot 100 Hits

For the second time in 2020, Taylor Swift dominates both the Billboard 200 albums chart and the Hot 100 singles ranking simultaneously, as she debuts new titles atop both those lists (among many others). As if leading the charge on the two most important Billboard rosters wasn’t enough of a show of dominance, the singer-songwriter occupies more space on the songs tally than anyone else, and thanks to a slew of new wins, she grabs one of the most coveted honors ever from the most successful female rapper of all time.

This week, Swift debuts 15 songs on the Hot 100, an incredible showing for any artist, and one she’s managed before. Every song featured on her surprise new album Evermore finds its way to the ranking of the most-consumed tunes in the U.S., upping her count considerably.

With 15 new Hot 100 hits to her credit, Swift’s career sum rises to 128 total placements, enough to put her in fourth place on the list of the musicians who have appeared on the tally the most often. In stepping up on that important ranking, the former country favorite jumps over two acts, Future and Nicki Minaj, and it's the second name that helps the “Cardigan” singer make history in one more fashion.

Jeremih Or Jacquees

Although fans has made it known that Jacquees is not the "King of R&B" it does not stop us from comparing him to other R&B artist.

I'm sure we all can agree R. Kelly is out of Jacquees league, but what about comparing him to Jeremih? This seems to be a artist that's more on his level.

Although Jacquees net worth is a estimated $6 Million and Jeremih is only $2 Million, they seem to be on the same level when entertaining there fans.

Rihanna Says She Just Wants to 'Have Fun With Music'

It’s been four years since Rihanna released an album but the singer is working hard on recording new music. The pop star, 32, told The Associated Press for her new album she’s already held “tons of writing camps” — where songwriters are put into groups to create original tracks for artists. Now, she said she’s asked herself the questions: “What do I feel personally? What do I want to put out, and as an artist, how do I want to play it with my art? How do I want to interpret that?”

“How do I want to reimagine it because it’s been so structured before,” Rihanna continued in a recent interview. The multi-genre artist who has won Grammys in the R&B, dance and rap categories added: “You do pop, you did this genre, you do that, you do radio, but now it’s just like, what makes me happy? I just want to have fun with music. Everything is so heavy. The world that we live in is a lot. It’s overwhelming every single day. And with the music, I’m using that as my outlet.”

New Head Of Universal Music Publishing Group

+Universal Music Group has named its new head of publishing. Jody Gerson will assume the reins of power at Universal Music Publishing Group beginning Jan. 1, when she joins that company as chairman/CEO. She replaces Zach Horowitz, who led the company for the past two years.

Universal Music Group chairman/CEO Lucian Grainge has tapped an executive who is at the pinnacle of the A&R executive ranks, but also is credited with strong business chops and administrative skills.

While Gerson can negotiate with the best of them, she is also well known for spotting talent early on, often before a songwriter’s career blooms. Among the songwriters she has signed during her career are Lady Gaga, Norah Jones, Odd Future, Jermaine Dupri, and a then 15-year old Alicia Keys.

Gerson has also played an instrumental role in the careers of Enrique Iglesias, Mac Miller, Pitbull, RedOne, Shakira and Pharrell Williams, among others.  Another one of her signings, Nasri Atweh, the lead singer and primary songwriter for the band Magic!, currently has the No. 1 single (“Rude”) on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the second week in a row. When Gerson joins on Jan. 1, she will report to Grainge. In the meantime, Universal Music Group CFO Boyd Buir will oversee UMPG.

At Universal Music Publishing, Gerson will be leading the second-largest publishing operation, with $900 million in revenue in 2013. She also gets to cross rapiers with one of her mentors, Martin Bandier, who she worked with for about a dozen years at EMI Music Publishing before joining him at Sony/ATV in 2008.

Gerson began her publishing career at Chappell Music, now known as Warner/Chappell, and worked there for six years before moving over to EMI as head of the company’s east coast publishing division. In addition to music publishing, Gerson’s accomplishments also include co-producing the 2002 movie Drumline, and cutting a deal to bring that show to Broadway. She is currently serving as executive producer for Drumline 2 for VH1.
