Will Facebook Issues Be The Downfall Of TikTok, Spotify, And Tinder?

A number of popular apps and services including Spotify, Music Blogs, Pinterest, and Tinder were inaccessible today on iOS devices due to a now-resolved issue involving Facebook log-ins.

There were widespread reports on social media of apps crashing whenever launched on iPhones and iPads, and corresponding outage spikes on DownDetector.com.

The cause of the outages seems to have been Facebook’s software development kit, or SDK, which many apps use to manage user logins. Users don’t have to be using Facebook to log into an app for this to affect their software (they don’t even have to have it installed), and there were no reports of the same apps crashing on Android.

Top 5 Tips To Help You Manage Your Online Reputation

If others are talking about your brand online, you better hope they are saying nice things. Are you listening to what they are saying? Your online presence on social media plays a critical role in how others perceive you and your business. If people are happy with and like you, others will know. In the same vein, If they are not, others will know this too.

If you are not proactively building and managing your online reputation, you better get started. People love to share negative opinions and what they say travels like the speed of light. Businesses that do not catch and react promptly to what unhappy customers are saying about them, risk loss of business.

How To Make Money From Your Videos

There are a few ways to make money from videos you make at home. Here at The Wrap-Up Magazine, were going to give you a few tips on how to do so below. Read the top 5 ways to make money online with videos.

1. Call around and ask independent clothing lines to back you up. There are millions of clothing lines out there. There is no excuse not to have a clothing backer. I guarantee you will find one to agree to pay you at least $100-$500 to wear their gear in your video.

2. If you have a music video coming out, please do yourself a favor and start a crowdfunding account. Your fans that love your music will be sure to back you up.

3. There was once a time where VEVO accounts were only for signed artists of Universal Music. Now, the portal has successfully been opened for all artists to use VEVO to make money from plays, royalties and ads. You can also partner up directly with YouTube if you create a lot of video content on top of your music videos.

4. Always make sure the description of you music video has a download link where people can purchase the song or the video. Yes, if you have a really dope video with great appeal, you can sell the actual video on iTunes as well.

5. If you can guarantee a certain amount of views, you can include a short 15 second commercial for a company or product in your music video. These commercials should go in the beginning and the end of the video. That allows you to sell two commercial spaces.

We Miss Google+

Google+ was a social network owned and operated by Google. The network was launched on June 28, 2011, in an attempt to challenge other social networks. Google+ is now only available for G Suite customers, and it is no longer available for consumer (personal) and brand accounts.

A security bug allowed third-party developers to access Google+ user profile data since 2015 until Google discovered and patched it. Google+ made sharing online more like sharing in real life.

Due to low user engagement and disclosed software design flaws that potentially allowed outside developers access to personal information of its users, the Google+ developer API was discontinued on March 7, 2019, and Google+ was shut down for business use and consumers on April 2, 2019.

But here at The Wrap-Up Magazine, Google+ brought many viewers to our platform. We enjoyed and miss Google+.

Photos and videos stored in Google Photos, for instance, will not be affected. Your Google account, which is linked to services such as Gmail, YouTube and Maps, will continue to work, but your Google+ account, which was only used for the social network, will be deleted.

Jennifer Lopez Shares Inspiring Advice to Be Successful

Lopez is already generating Oscar buzz for her flick Hustlers. Should she win, the Maid in Manhattan star would make history at the first Latina to win an Academy Award in the best actress category.

Jennifer Lopez didn’t become the massive Hollywood star she is overnight.

Lopez stressed that you have to go “out every day and do what you do and find a path in.” The mom of two noted that if somebody is “tenacious” and works “hard enough,” they will find a way like she did. “That’s what I had to create,” she shared. “I had to create the life that I wanted to live.” Talk about tips to developing a stronger work ethic!

No surprise, Lopez’s hustling paid off. Over the course of her decades-long career, she has dropped countless dance floor hits and starred in a number of beloved films, including The Wedding Planner and Selena, which earned her a Golden Globe nomination for her breakout role.

The “Dance Again” singer—who declared the upcoming movie is “about women – period”—plays stripper Romana in the film. Lopez had to learn how to pole dance for the role, so she took a crash course. “It’s difficult,” she admitted to Variety. “It’s funny walking in someone else’s shoes—you never know what it’s like. Until it’s you.”

Slack Gives Customers More Control

Slack announced today that it is launching Enterprise Key Management a new tool that enables customers to control their encryption keys in the enterprise version of the communications app.

Slack currently encrypts data in transit and at rest, but the new tool augments this by giving customers greater control over the encryption keys that Slack uses to encrypt messages and files being shared.

A big benefit of EKM is that in the event of a security threat or if you ever experience suspicious activity, your security team can cut off access to the content at any time if necessary.

EKM for Slack is generally available today for Enterprise Grid customers for an additional fee. Slack, which announced plans to go public last month, has raised over $1 billion on a $7 billion valuation.

Why China Has The Fastest Growing Market For Music

China’s music market is one of the fastest growing markets in the world. If you don’t want to enter China, your music business is equal to “drop a big wallet”. The world’s most populous country, and their consumers’ pockets are bulging, and there is no reason why you should not come to China to do the music business.

China’s music media has many particularities due to historical reasons. It didn’t really form until the late 1980s. At that time, mainly music media are the newspaper, radio and television station.

In 1987, China’s first popular music magazine, “Audio & Video World”, was born, and the magazine was hailed as China’s “Rolling Stone” magazine(and later, it did,In 2006 They published a music magazine together, named “Rolling Stone China Edition”.but only one issue and forbidden by government ). Basic function as with “Rolling Stone”, as long as “Audio & Video World” magazine introduces artists, it must be famous and popular.

With the birth of “Audio & Video World” , many music magazines, such as X Music, Music Heaven, Modern Music Field,Hit Music, have been born. And also the TVs and radios were growing up before 2000, basically, all these music media were called music market orientation.

TV stations, for example, are still a better platform, but they only recommend famous artists. For new artist, It is very difficult to get the chance to get exposure. So when you promote your artists and new music, you can choose some magazines such as “X Music ” ,”Q magazine Chinese edition”, “Easy Music World”,and even some foreign music magazine will also report it such as the Pump it Up magazine. They often focus on China music market.

Digital Music platform has music playing function and also an important platform for music sales. Currently the main platforms have the largest database of Chinese music fans. For example, QQ music, Xiami, Netease Cloud music. There are others platforms that can combine online and offline functions such as See Music, Street Voice, and crowd-funding platform Musi kid.

This kind of media is like linkedin, can build managements/labels and artists very professional relationships. Music dish China is a very strong music network in China.

Top 5 Things To Do Before Releasing Your Album

Planning a album is a lot of work and you need to know exactly what is in store for you before you take the first step. Before you get ready, here are 5 things you need to consider before dropping your next album.

Planning on releasing your album? Releasing an album requires a lot of work, money, and effort, and you have to know exactly you're facing before you even take the first step if it is going to work. As you get your album ready for the public, here are five things to keep in mind.

Source

1. Make sure you understand the broad picture, and that your album needs promotion, distribution, and possibly manufacturing to make the process of releasing the album worthwhile.

On a self-release level, it could mean everything from selling copies at shows to landing a national distribution deal, but you have to know one thing for sure: just because you're not working with a record label doesn't mean that you won't have to do the work that a record label does if you want your release to be a success.

2. You can hire various PR companies or handle things yourself. That decision comes down to your budget and what you think you can realistically achieve. If you are promoting your album yourself, decide in advance what your promotion targets are. Your job will be most manageable if you focus on a region plus any markets where you'll be playing shows.

3. Fortunately, in these modern times, there's no particular need for you to manufacture hard copies of your album and start courting distributors to place it in record stores. Tunecore, CD Baby, and other sites can get your music to the people digitally with ease. However, you need a plan for distribution, even if you do it digitally.

4. Live shows are the best way to promote just about anything, including your new release. Hitting the road hard will increase your fan base and help you get press for your album, but booking is something that takes time - and time is at a premium when you're releasing your album.

If you're experienced at booking your shows, then you probably have a database of existing contacts to make your job easier. If you haven't booked shows before, be sure to allow some time for getting some gigs set up around your release date.

5. Releasing an album costs money; can you afford it? Putting all of the costs on your credit card is not necessarily a good plan. Be sure to create a budget for your release that doesn't overreach what you can realistically afford.

Settle on an investment you can afford, plan accordingly, and then use the money that comes in to fund your next project.
