Rumors are that an evangelical pastor in Arizona has taken his exorcism business to the Internet. U.S. residents can even deduct the donation to Larson’s International Missions Program from their taxes. International Catholic Association of Exorcists Director Reverend Isaac Kramer has warned that Internet exorcisms are just a scam.

Reverend Bob Larson told KNXV that he has performed over 20,000 exorcisms over the past 20 year. And thanks to the Skype video chat software, he can now offer the service to people all over the world for just $295 for a 60-minute session.

Greyhound Bus Driver Attacked

A passenger on a Greyhound bus traveling through Arizona “went berserk” and attacked the driver early Thursday, causing the bus to swerve violently and go off the highway before other passengers subdued him.

People were thrown from their seats after the California man, who reportedly was hallucinating, screamed “Everybody’s going to die,” pummeled the driver and grabbed the steering wheel. More than half of the roughly 40 passengers were hurt, including three who were airlifted to a Phoenix hospital.

When the Dallas-bound bus finally stopped, the 25-year-old man and a female companion got off and ran into the desert, only to return about a half-hour later. Some passengers cursed and threw rocks at him before paramedics stopped them.

The bus was heading east from Los Angeles on Interstate 10 when then the attack happened shortly before 2 a.m. near the community of Tonopah, about 50 miles west of Phoenix, authorities said. The speed limit in the area is 75 mph. The bus crossed the highway median but came to a stop before entering westbound traffic when other passengers restrained the man.

The bus remained upright, and none of the 24 people taken to hospitals had life-threatening injuries. Three were airlifted to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix, but a hospital spokeswoman said one of them was later released. Fifteen people were taken to West Valley Hospital locations in Goodyear and Buckeye. Officials say five of those 15 ended up being admitted.

The injuries included a broken sternum suffered by one passenger who helped restrain the attacker. The Department of Public Safety identified the attacker as Maquel Donyel Morris, of Los Angeles.

Woman Forced To Cut Dreadlocks

A tennis coach was forced to cut off her waist-length dreadlocks after finding bedbugs in her suburban Chicago hotel room. She’s now suing Palatine Holiday Inn Express for negligence – and wants $50,000 in compensation.

Brumfield claims that on the second day of her stay at the hotel in Oct. 2012 a manager said an inspection of her room was needed after the bloodsucking Cimex Lectularius insects were found next door. Exterminators found the creatures in her headboard and she was moved to another room.

Columbia Mall Shooting

The Howard County Police have confirmed that three people have been killed in a shooting at the Mall in Columbia. Police reported on Twitter at 12:38 that they are in the mall to clear people out safely. “Mall is believed to be secure, but people inside should wait for police.

Customers inside the mall said they heard shots and ran. The police department is advising people to avoid the area. Customers inside the mall are reporting that the mall is in lockdown and some customers have been directed toward the AMC Theater away from the scene of the shooting.

Fire dispatchers have started planning how to let customers exit the mall in groups. The dispatchers have also requested buses to evacate the customers. There is a heavy police presence at the mall with helicopters circling overhead and police officers searching car trunks in the parking lot.

Teacher Arrested For Food Laced With Pot

A Northern California elementary school teacher has been arrested for allegedly serving marijuana-laced food to her colleagues at a potluck dinner without their knowledge. Hartig says that several people attending the Nov. 21 dinner at a private home complained of feeling ill or high from an unknown substance and that two of them sought treatment at a hospital. Blood work on one of the patients tested positive for THC.

A child also ate some of the pot-infused food that was brought home from the party for Matthew Turner Elementary School staff. Benecia Police Department Lt. Frank Hartig said Teresa Gilmete Badger was booked into the Solano County Jail on Friday on suspicion of poisoning. The 47-year-old Badger’s arrest capped a month-and-a-half-long investigation that started with a tip from the Benicia Unified School District‘s superintendent.

150 More Jobs Added To Ohio

A $2.5-million expansion at Ridgeview Behavioral Hospital in Middlepoint, Ohio will nearly double the size of the facility and create an estimated 150 new jobs. The hospital will hold a groundbreaking for the 16,500-square-foot addition.

The 40-bed facility will have about 76 to 78 patient beds after the expansion. Ridgeview has a staff of 150 employees; with the expansion the hospital plans to expand this to 250 to 300. The hospital, which began seeing patients in May 2012, has tried to use local subcontractors and vendors for the construction as much as possible. Although the hospital was eligible for a tax abatement, it declined.

Ridgeview Hospital is a 40-bed inpatient psychiatric hospital that is committed to providing the highest quality of care to individuals dealing with mental health issues, or mental health issues with co-occurring chemical addictions. All three commissioners are enthusiastic about the project and believe an expansion of its size is promising in Van Wert County, said Van Wert County commissioners Chairman Todd Wolfrum, adding that Ridgeview is creating much needed, well-paying jobs for the residents of Van Wert County.

One Arrested In Drug Raid

One person was arrested in Lima, Ohio after an investigation by the West Central Ohio Crime Task Force into sales of crack cocaine from a Lima residence. The task force, with the aid of the Lima Police Department SWAT team, executed a search warrant at 642 E. Third St., Lima.

During the search, cocaine, drug paraphernalia and two handguns were seized from the residence. Jamy L. Hogue, of Lima, was taken into custody during the search, as well. Hogue is being held at the Allen County Jail pending charges of drug trafficking. Other charges will be considered by the Allen County Grand Jury.

Driver Survives Icy River

A Lima, Ohio man who drove his car through a fence and plummeted into the icy Ottawa River overnight was lucky to be alive. Friday to reports of a man walking on East Elm Street with his face covered in blood and wearing wet clothing. They came across 35-year-old Robert Smith III, of Lima. It was so cold, Smith’s wet clothes had frozen to his body.

Smith was taken to an area hospital to be treated for cold weather and minor facial injuries. Several hours later, Smith said he may have driven his car into the river somewhere. Officers were sent to the area and found a car in the river near the intersection of South Jackson and East Elm streets. From what officers could tell, it appears the driver drove south on Jackson Street, through the Elm Street intersection and veered toward the river.

The driver drove through a fence and plummeted 20 feet down into the Ottawa River. He freed himself from the car and swam ashore. Alcohol may be a factor in the incident, according to police. The crash remains under investigation, the Lima, Ohio police reported. The Lima/Allen County Dive Team was dispatched to the scene to remove the car from the river.
