Beyonce Writes Letter To Attorney General

Beyoncé has shared an open letter on her website to Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron. She’s seeking swift justice for Breonna Taylor, the 26-year-old emergency room technician who was killed in her home by Louisville police.

The letter comes three months after Taylor’s death, and Beyoncé offers three specific calls to action: to bring criminal charges against the three officers responsible for her death, transparency in the investigation and prosecution of those officers, and an investigation into the Louisville Metro Police Department’s response to her murder “as well as the pervasive practices that result in the repeated deaths of unarmed Black citizens.”

Whats Your Favorite Van Halen Song?

Van Halen is an American rock band formed in Pasadena, California in 1972. Credited with "restoring hard rock to the forefront of the music scene."

When Van Halen released their self-titled debut album in 1978, fans hadn't heard a guitar hero with such singular style since Jimi Hendrix. Eddie Van Halen did things with his guitar that didn’t seem humanly possible – he could make it hum like a helicopter one minute and crush like a bulldozer the next.

With singer David Lee Roth at the mic, the group had a natural showman who wrapped 70 years’ worth of stage entertainment into one motor-mouthed fireball. Roth quit the band and was replaced by Sammy Hagar, a rock-music vet who gave the group some much needed melodic thrust and provided them with a series of hit records.

Beyonce Gives Positive Speech To 2020 Graduates

Beyoncé gave a moving speech for 2020 graduates over the weekend, telling them "real change has started with you."

"Congratulations to the class of 2020, you have arrived here in the middle of a global crisis, a racial pandemic and worldwide expression of outrage at the senseless killing of yet another unarmed Black human being. And you still made it, we're so proud of you," Beyoncé said in a video address as part of YouTube's "Dear Class of 2020" event.

"Thank you for using your collective voice and letting the worlds know that Black lives matter. The killings of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor and so many others have left us all broken. It has left the entire country searching for answers," she continued." We've seen that our collective hearts, when put to positive action, could start the wheels of change. Real change has started with you, this new generation of high school and college graduates who we celebrate today."

She went on to discuss the music industry's own biases and how that prompted her to start Parkwood Entertainment in 2010.
