Ariana Grande Receives Woman Of The Year
Sources report that Ariana Grande has been named Woman of the Year. Billboard just named the 25-year-old diva its Woman of the Year. Grande was on hand to receive the honor on Dec. 6.
Ariana Grande has had an incredibly successful year and on the heels of her Billboard 200 chart-topping fourth album Sweetener. “Ariana Grande is a star on her own terms, never bending to any particular musical trend or path in the industry.”
Certain in her convictions, she consistently stands up for herself and her decisions in a world that often isn’t hospitable to that sort of strength in young women. She’s got guts, she’s making some of the best music of her career, and she’s absolutely deserving of Woman of the Year.

Over the course of her career, Grande has claimed the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 albums chart three times. Her latest chart-topper was August's Sweetener, home to the hits "No Tears Left to Cry" and "God Is a Woman" and scoring the largest streaming week ever for a pop album by a female artist upon its release.

Eminem Disses Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, Reese Witherspoon and More
The rapper dropped the 11-minute "Kick Off" late Friday night (Nov. 30), and he mentions Ariana Grande (while referring to the terrorist attack at her concert in Manchester in May of 2017) and compliments Jada Pinkett Smith ("Told this chick she's hot as Jada Pinkett/And just stared 'til I made her think it").
The song comes in video form, with the visuals being shot at The Shelter at St. Andrew's in Detroit and it definitely finds Shady in battle rap mode. He released the video via Twitter stating, "The release of BODIED has me feeling nostalgic about battle rap so I headed down to my old stomping grounds."
Eminem raps about beating Witherspoon to death with a broom, and the third verse features a barb at Justin Bieber ("Justin Bieber in a Catholic school/Selling dust and reefer when your back is to him").
The Kamikaze MC raps for over 10 minutes and in that time period he spits about a plethora of subjects including Islamic terrorism and the infamous Manchester Arena bombing following Ariana Grande's show in 2017.
Regardless, there are plenty of familiar names to be found in the lyrics of "Kick Off," and Marshall Mathers' latest output falls in line with his many instances fo violently attacking women with his words.

Kanye West Calls Out Ariana Grande
Kanye West took to Twitter early Saturday morning to call out Ariana Grande for a tweet she made on Thursday.
Kanye wrote, “All of this foolishness weighed on my mental health so @ArianaGrande you know I got love for you but until you’re ready to really make sure everyone’s ok don’t use me or this moment to promote a song.”
Grande called out two “grown men”—a.k.a. Ye and Drake—who were “arguing online,” and asked them to “behave for just like a few hours” so that people could listen to her new single, “Imagine,” and Miley Cyrus’ new song, a cover of John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s “Happy Xmas (War Is Over).” However, it’s clear that Ye took the tweet as a slight.
The rapper then continued to post another barrage of tweets, this time mostly focusing on the stigma surrounding mental health, while addressing the current state of his own.
Grande directly responded to Ye in a tweet that further clarifies why she pointed to his and Drake's beef in the first place. “[W]ith all due respect," she wrote, "i don't need to use anyone to promote anything. period. i was making a comment ab what men were doing at the time vs. women. it was a joke which i understand now was probably insensitive. i apologize if i was in any way triggering and hope u feel well today.”
During his tweetstorm, Ye also gave a hat tip to Gucci Mane and Quavo, who released the song “BiPolar” in late November, saying that the song helped “[destigmatize] mental health.”

Ariana Grande Signed Away 90% Of Her Royalties For '7 Rings'
"7 Rings" interpolates the melody of "My Favorite Things," an iconic song written by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II for "The Sound of Music" in 1959.
Ariana Grande has signed away 90% of her royalties from "7 Rings," the controversial (yet wildly popular) second single from her most recent album.
According to the New York Times, Grande's label Republic cut a deal with Concord, the music company that has owned the late songwriters' back catalog since 2017. The percentage is remarkably large cut to give songwriters for a sample, particularly in the absence of a lawsuit, but it's not unprecedented.
The New York Times reports that Grandehas signed away 90% of her "7 Rings" royalties to the estate of Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II, the iconic songwriting duo who died in 1959 and 1970, respectively.

‘Music To Be Murdered By’ Has Sold 1 Million Units In The U.S.
Music to Be Murdered By got off to an explosive start when it dropped without warning in January, moving 279,000 album-equivalent units in its first week. It made Eminem the first artist to debut 10 consecutive albums at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and one of only six artists to score 10 No. 1 albums in the United States.
By crossing the million-unit mark, Music to Be Murdered By is now eligible for a platinum certification from the RIAA. With the exception of 2017’s critically panned Revival, each of Eminem’s major-label studio albums dating back to 1999’s The Slim Shady LP has gone platinum or better, with two of them—2000’s Marshall Mathers LP and 2002’s The Eminem Show—collecting diamond plaques for U.S. sales exceeding 10 million.
