Lil Wayne Sues Former Lawyer

The rapper is suing Ronald Sweeney, an attorney who represented him from 2005 until 2018, for overcharging him during their 13 years working together, reports TMZ. According to docs obtained by the website, Lil Wayne claims that Sweeney was charging him 10 percent for every deal he helped close, even though industry standard is 5 percent.

In addition to overcharging Lil Wayne, the rapper also accused his former lawyer of trying to get even more money out of him. The docs claim that Sweeney, by enlisting the help of another firm, allegedly got himself an extra 23 percent from Wayne’s multimillion-dollar settlement with Cash Money Records and extra 15 percent from his settlement with Universal Music Group.

Wayne is seeking at least $20 million, according to TMZ.

Man Does Doughnuts on Airport Before Being Arrested

Now this is how you go down in a bang. With the right move, this could plunged the young man into stardom if he know it or not.

A 20-year-old man has been arrested after ramming his car through a security fence at Pensacola International Airport in Florida, speeding down an active runway at around 100 mph, and then doing doughnuts with his vehicle.

Carlson drove his Ford Mustang from the runway to a grassy area, where he did doughnuts, before speeding into an open hangar, where he continued doing doughnuts until police arrived.

Wood said that no air traffic was affected due to Carlson’s stunt, as no airlines were on the runway at the time.

Carlson was charged with criminal mischief and trespassing, though more charges may be added, Fox 10 reports. Authorities do not believe the man was under the influence of alcohol or drugs. They have also ruled out terrorism as a motive.

I guess you can't say no-one say this coming. According to TMZ, three people associated with Tekashi 6ix9ine were federally indicted for crimes related to the incarcerated rapper.

TMZ reports that Kooda B was indicted after Tekashi spoke with investigators and revealed Kooda to be the trigger man. Tekashi was pinned to the shooting after posting a video that seemingly showed him ordering the hit on Keef's cousin Tadoe, which was a key piece of evidence in the case.

McKenzie has yet to be arrested, while Ellison, who was arrested for kidnapping and assaulting Tekashi, and Butler are expected to appear in court on Wednesday (January 30) afternoon.

Minors Not Being Accepted At US Border

Now this is backwards, if anything we should be accepting the children with their parents first. The head of Mexico's immigration agency said Monday that his country won't accept migrants younger than 18 while they await the resolution of their U.S. asylum claims.

Mexican officials had previously said the United States expressed interest in extending the "remain in Mexico" policy to other border crossings. But Guillen said Mexico will accept only asylum seekers aged 18 to 60 at El Chaparral.

Mexico will accept migrants only from Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras, and will give them four-month visas. Guillen said that since Dec. 1, Mexico has given 3,983 transit visas to Central Americans, most of whom hope to reach the United States.

Mexico will also extend other work-visa programs to apply to more Mexican states and more Central American countries. U.S. authorities plan to bus asylum seekers back and forth to the border for court hearings in downtown San Diego, including an initial appearance within 45 days.

The U.S. has witnessed a surge in asylum claims, especially from Central American families. Due largely to a court-imposed 20-day limit on detaining children, families are typically released with a notice to appear in immigration court. With a backlog of more than 800,000 cases, it can take years to settle cases.

R. Kelly New Album Is Complete

R. Kelly has been surrounded in controversy since the New Year began. According to Billboard, the singer has a new album that's already been recorded and he's looking for a distributor to release it.

Expect a new album from R. Kelly in the near future, whether you like it or not. The singer's plotting on releasing a new album that's already been completed.

Earlier this month, it was revealed that he and Sony's RCA Records parted ways. However, he did manage to score a win in his deal. The singer reportedly reclaimed the ownership of his unreleased music including the new album he plans on releasing once he finds a distributor.

The announcement of RCA's split from R. Kelly came two weeks after the six-part docu-series aired earlier this month that detailed several allegations of misconduct over the years.

Kellz has maintained his innocence but more women have stepped forward with allegations against him. Most recently, his ex-girlfriend came out accusing the singer of throwing her into another wall for allegedly looking at another man.

What Happened To Three 6 Mafia?

One of the greatest rap groups of all times will remain legendary until the end of time. Three 6 Mafia is an American hip hop group formed in 1991 from Memphis, Tennessee. Their music has been variously described as Southern hip hop, Crunk, hardcore rap, horrorcore and gangsta rap.

Founded by Juicy J, Lord Infamous and DJ Paul back in 1991, they started their music career as Backyard Posse prior to settling on their current name. Through their own record company, Prophet Entertainment, they eventually started to record and release a number of extended-plays during their initial years together.

One of the most popular hip hop groups of their time, they’ve won several awards throughout their years together. In 2006, Three 6 Mafia was awarded an Oscar for “Best Achievement in Music Written for Motion Pictures” for their hit single, It’s Hard Out Here for a Pump, which was used as the theme song for the indie film, Hustle & Flow (2005).

Looking at their discography, one would notice that their last album release was that of Watch What U Wish… back in 2015ーwhere is the hip hop group now? On October 9, 2015, Koopsta Knicca unexpectedly died from a brain aneurysm, making him the second member of Three 6 Mafia to pass away (the first being Lord Infamous, a founding member who passed away in 2013 from a heart attack).

Fans of Memphis' Three 6 Mafia were undoubtedly excited back in 2013 when DJ Paul announced that five of the original six members would be reuniting for a series of new releases. Despite this back to basics approach, many fans were disappointed to hear that Juicy J would no longer be appearing as an official member of the crew.

In a HHDX exclusive interview, Three 6 Mafia's DJ Paul addressed his colleague's claims regarding why Juicy is no longer working with the group.

"I got a lot of love for Pat and always will--we made a lot of hits together," DJ Paul began. "You know, [Pat’s] 'Don’t Save Her,' I wrote and produced it for him. It’s my voice on the hook. Me and Juicy produced Mista Don’t Play [Everythangs Workin] with him, every single project--all his albums. Every single Project Pat album cover, I physically hand-drew and designed myself. Every single one, from Ghetty Green to Layin Da Smack Down to Mista Don’t Play--all of them. I was the one on the phone with Pen & Pixel at my mother’s house, using the fax machine, faxing hand-drawn pictures to them. So, whatever. The whole thing’s just funny and I don’t know where none of it come from.”

Despite their different paths, Paul maintains that he and Juicy remain good friends.

Kanye West Sues Roc-A-Fella Records

Kanye West is suing both Roc-A-Fella Records and EMI for an undisclosed amount of owed money. TMZ revealed that a lot of information is redacted from the lawsuits, but it shows that he's asking for a declaration of his rights and owed money.

The lawsuit also shows that Kanye West signed a deal with EMI in 2003 before releasing The College Dropout, and by 2011 he had written or collaborated on over 200 songs that he gave EMI the rights to. While specific songs weren't listed in the lawsuit, Kanye wrote some of his most influential and successful songs during this time period.

Kanye West is being represented by Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, which is noted as one of the most prestigious and selective law firms in the world.
