Kanye West Calls Out Ariana Grande

Kanye West took to Twitter early Saturday morning to call out Ariana Grande for a tweet she made on Thursday.

Kanye wrote, “All of this foolishness weighed on my mental health so @ArianaGrande you know I got love for you but until you’re ready to really make sure everyone’s ok don’t use me or this moment to promote a song.”

Grande called out two “grown men”—a.k.a. Ye and Drake—who were “arguing online,” and asked them to “behave for just like a few hours” so that people could listen to her new single, “Imagine,” and Miley Cyrus’ new song, a cover of John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s “Happy Xmas (War Is Over).” However, it’s clear that Ye took the tweet as a slight.

The rapper then continued to post another barrage of tweets, this time mostly focusing on the stigma surrounding mental health, while addressing the current state of his own.

Grande directly responded to Ye in a tweet that further clarifies why she pointed to his and Drake's beef in the first place. “[W]ith all due respect," she wrote, "i don't need to use anyone to promote anything. period. i was making a comment ab what men were doing at the time vs. women. it was a joke which i understand now was probably insensitive. i apologize if i was in any way triggering and hope u feel well today.”

During his tweetstorm, Ye also gave a hat tip to Gucci Mane and Quavo, who released the song “BiPolar” in late November, saying that the song helped “[destigmatize] mental health.”

Ohio Bank Pays Off Moms Student Loan Dept For Christmas

One lucky woman in Ohio just received her student loan dept paid off by surprise by an Ohio Bank. A 30-year-old nurse and single mother was given the surprise of her life when a bank paid of the rest of her student loans just before the holidays. Now that's a Christmas gift to remember.

On Wednesday, Jasmin Ford thought she was just participating in a documentary about student loans; little did she know, her $150,000 student loan debt was about to be lifted off her shoulders.

Ford was the first in her family to graduate from college and eventually received a Master’s degree in nursing years later. However, with no financial help from family, she was forced to take out massive student loans just to cover tuition, food, rent, and other necessities.

“I could not foresee when I’d be able to pay it off,” Ford said of her debt. “I just knew this was going to be a part of my life as long as I was alive unless there was some significant change, which -- wow.”

Ford’s surprise was made possible by Fifth Third Bank, which selected her to be in a documentary on student loan debt.  On the day of the big gift, Ford just thought the film crew was coming back to shoot some additional video. Then they revealed her student loan debt was gone.

“I still can’t find the words,” Ford said Thursday. “I’m off work again today and I’m just sort of pacing around and restless because I know my life is going to change.”

Ford said life will also change for her son, Caleb. Previously, Ford worked two jobs almost every day of the week. Now, she can’t wait to pull back on work and spend more time with her family.

“I just imagine being able to spend more time physically with my family, not having to hustle, having mental freedom and with that, some spiritual freedom,” she said. “I can open myself to more experiences, opportunities and just be able to sit and be with my thoughts and be able to pursue what it is I came to do.”

“His life will be totally different,” she added. “I’m so happy and so proud that I’m able to offer that to him more than anything else because he deserves it.”

Kids Are Dying At Our Border

The Washington Post reports the girl died of dehydration and shock more than eight hours after she was arrested by agents near Lordsburg, New Mexico. The girl was from Guatemala and was traveling with a group of 163 people who approached agents to turn themselves in on Dec. 6.

A 7-year-old girl who crossed the U.S.-Mexico border with her father last week died after being taken into the custody of the U.S. Border Patrol.

It's unknown what happened to the girl during the eight hours before she started having seizures and was flown to an El Paso hospital.

Source

In a statement, Customs and Border Protection said the girl had not eaten or consumed water in several days.

Processing 163 immigrants in one night could have posed challenges for the agency, whose detention facilities are meant to be temporary and don't usually fit that many people.

When a Border Patrol agent arrests someone, that person gets processed at a facility but usually spends no more than 72 hours in custody before they are either transferred to Immigration and Customs Enforcement or, if they're Mexican, quickly deported home.

The girl's death raises questions about whether border agents knew she was ill and whether she was fed anything or given anything to drink during the eight-plus hours she was in custody.

Immigrants, attorneys and activists have long raised issues with the conditions of Border Patrol holding cells. In Tucson, an ongoing lawsuit claims holding cells are filthy, extremely cold and lacking basic necessities such as blankets. A judge overseeing that lawsuit has ordered the agency's Tucson Sector, which patrols much of the Arizona-Mexico border, to provide blankets and mats to sleep on and to continually turn over surveillance footage from inside the cells.

The Border Patrol has seen an increasing trend of large groups of immigrants, many with young children, walking up to agents and turning themselves in. Most are Central American and say they are fleeing violence. They turn themselves in instead of trying to circumvent authorities, many with plans to apply for asylum.

Agents in Arizona see groups of over 100 people on a regular basis, sometimes including infants and toddlers.

Arresting such groups poses logistical problems for agents who have to wait on transport vans that are equipped with baby seats to take them to processing facilities, some which are at least half hour north of the border.

Have you ever gone to an auto repair shop for an oil change, only to have the mechanic say you need a new transmission? Or has the mysterious “check engine” light come on, and next thing you know the mechanic has a list of expensive engine parts that need replacing? Unfortunately, many mechanics know taking advantage of people is easy given their lack of knowledge about car maintenance needs.

All you have to do is plug FIXD into your onboard diagnostics port (which is usually located under the dash below the steering wheel) and then download the free FIXD app on your smartphone (Apple or Android). The app will let you know if there are any specific issues with your car in plain and easy to understand language. Not only that, but it will also provide you with an estimate of the cost to fix any issues and will let you know what the consequences are if you continue to drive with the problem. You also have the ability to reset your check engine light in the app with the click of a button.

Special Offer:
As of Monday, Thursday, December 13th 2018, FIXD is offering a deep discount when you buy more than one. (Hint: These make great gift ideas for family and friends!)

Kanye West Calls Drake Out

A new beef is cooking up between Kanye and Drake. Kanye West went on a Twitter rant calling out Drake and adding further layers to the saga. Throughout the deluge of tweets, one thing was made clear and that was Ye wants an apology from Drake.

Kanye West brought the entire ordeal back to the fore by addressing Drake's son, while also getting on the "6 God" for "sneak dissing trav [Travis Scott] records," and reiterated that he would never intentionally hurt Drake.

Back in September Drake Fired Shots At Kanye West in a new song snippet, which made its way around the internet.
