David Lee Roth New Song Is Dedicated To Eddie Van Halen

David Lee Roth has revealed a lofty, acoustic guitar-driven new track that he has dedicated to his longtime bandmate Eddie Van Halen.

"Somewhere Over the Rainbow Bar and Grill..." was one of a number of previously-unreleased songs written and recorded by Roth and John 5 circa 2014, with Greg Bissonette playing drums.

Almost a month since Eddie's death, Roth was apparently moved to release the sentimental feeling track along with a message to his longtime collaborator and frenemy embedded in the artwork, "Hey Ed, I'm gonna miss ya'. See you on the other side..."

Beyoncé Covers British Vogue’s December Issue

The singer, 39, posed for three covers for British Vogue’s December 2020 issue, on newsstands November 6.

Photographed by 21-year-old Kennedi Carter — the youngest photographer to shoot any British Vogue cover in the magazine’s 104-year history — Bey fronts one issue in a lime-colored Ivy Park look from her latest “Drip 2” collection, including a knit catsuit ($140), organza jacket ($160) and mesh bucket hat.

On the other two covers, the pop superstar wears a sheer Mugler bodysuit and a bold-shouldered Alexander McQueen blazer, sans pants.

“Everyone always wants to know what it’s like to work with Beyoncé and her incredible team, and the answer is… flawless,” British Vogue’s editor-in-chief Edward Enniful wrote about the experience. “A perfectionist to the core, more than anything, she wanted her Vogue moment to be filled with positivity as this trickiest of years draws to a close.”

Why Beyoncé holds the key to office culture

In May 2019, before COVID-19 began sweeping through the world, the World Health Organization declared burnout “an occupational phenomenon.” In fact, concern about work and well-being goes back centuries and was always linked to culture: It was Aristotle, after all, who worried about what it would take to create a sense of flourishing or eudaimonia.

Now that chief executives around the globe are trying to maintain or reinvent both corporate culture and future strategy in the wake of a pandemic that rewrote the rules of work, it’s popular culture that leaders should consider to win the hearts and minds of their workers — specifically pop music.

Beyonce Gives Positive Speech To 2020 Graduates

Beyoncé gave a moving speech for 2020 graduates over the weekend, telling them "real change has started with you."

"Congratulations to the class of 2020, you have arrived here in the middle of a global crisis, a racial pandemic and worldwide expression of outrage at the senseless killing of yet another unarmed Black human being. And you still made it, we're so proud of you," Beyoncé said in a video address as part of YouTube's "Dear Class of 2020" event.

"Thank you for using your collective voice and letting the worlds know that Black lives matter. The killings of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor and so many others have left us all broken. It has left the entire country searching for answers," she continued." We've seen that our collective hearts, when put to positive action, could start the wheels of change. Real change has started with you, this new generation of high school and college graduates who we celebrate today."

She went on to discuss the music industry's own biases and how that prompted her to start Parkwood Entertainment in 2010.

Understanding The Jennifer Lopez Documentary “Halftime” At Tribeca Festival

The Jennifer Lopez documentary “Halftime” is kicking off the 21st Tribeca Festival on Wednesday, launching the annual New York event with an intimate behind-the-scenes portrait of the singer-actor filmed during the tumultuous year she turned 50, co-headlined the Super Bowl and narrowly missed out on an Oscar nomination.

The star-studded, musical premiere at the United Palace in Washington Heights serves as an appropriate opener for the Tribeca Festival, which has jettisoned “Film” from its name to better reflect the wide array of concerts, talks, television premieres, podcasts and virtual reality exhibits that increasingly fill its busy live-event schedule alongside movies.

Beyonce New Adidas Gear Is #OutNow

Beyoncé's second Ivy Park x Adidas apparel collection is dropping online Thursday, a day ahead of its release in stores.

The athleisure line, dubbed "The Drip 2 Collection," comes nine months after the first installment of Beyoncé's Ivy Park x Adidas gear, which sold out almost instantly when it dropped at the start of the year.

Online sales were set to begin at 4pm ET on the Adidas Ivy Park website. Prices range from about $25 for accessories and up $200 for apparel.

The collaboration is a continuation of Adidas' (ADDDF) strategy of leveraging non-athlete influencers to work as "creative partners" for limited capsule collections of its athletic wear. Scarcity and celebrity have proven a winning combination for Adidas' high-profile collaboration with Kanye West's Yeezy label.

Garth Brooks Pulls Out Of The CMA's

Garth Brooks won't compete for "Entertainer of the Year" at the Country Music Association Awards.

Brooks, a seven-times recipient of the top country music honor, said Wednesday that "it's time for somebody else to hold that award."

He last won CMA "Entertainer of the Year" in 2019, when some in country music fandom argued passionately for Carrie Underwood or Eric Church to earn the annual trophy.

'There's one tweet in there that really stuck in my head," Brooks said in a virtual press conference Wednesday. "It said, 'Hey, man. This guy, why doesn't he just step down (and leave) the entertainer for the next generation?' 100% agree."
