Has Rock-N-Roll Always Been Apart Of Hip-Hop Culture?

Yes Hip Hop has always been apart of the Rock culture! Rock and Rap song were some of the best ever made still today! For an institution that is dedicated to immortalizing rock and roll’s greatest heroes, there are many inductees in there who are not quite typically thought of as rock artists.

You’ve got Grandmaster Flash, Run-DMC, Miles Davis, Madonna, and Tupac in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The confusion behind these inductees lies not with the quality of their work, but rather the categorization of it.

There are four other artists who have been nominated but have yet to be inducted—Afrika Bambaataa, LL Cool J, Eric B. and Rakim, N.W.A—and four more groups who have been considered for the ballot but who have not yet been nominated—Boogie Down Productions, De La Soul, the Sugarhill Gang, and the Treacherous Three.

Did Lil Wayne Betray His Young Money Crew?

It was recently reported that Lil Wayne sold his masters to Universal Music Group for $100 million back in June of this year. After documents of the deal were revealed, the sale reportedly included the master of Young Money artists as well. The three prominent artists on that list are Drake, Nicki Minaj, and Tyga. Given all of the work and culture shifts that the four artists have created, $100 million seems pretty cheap for ownership of their sound recorded copyrights.

This news led fans to speculate which albums were sold within the deal. According to the documents, the masters include every Drake album aside from his 2020 releases. Every 2020 release from the OVO CEO is under his OVO imprint in conjunction with Republic Records. Republic is also a subsidiary of Universal Music Group. Every project from 2009’s So Far Gone to 2018’s Scorpion is reportedly included in Wayne’s Universal deal. On the other hand, all of Nicki Minaj’s albums have fallen under the Young Money/Cash Money imprint since her debut release, Pink Friday.

Young Junne Talks Master P And No Limit Records

Rapper Young Junne burns his No Limit record contract and blasts Master P for allegedly mistreating his artists and stealing his music on Instagram. Saturday, Young Junne posted an Instagram video of him addressing his issues with the 48-year-old then burning the pages.

June then wrote captioned his reasoning to back out of NoLimit saying that he has turned down the contract twice before, "I am not with NoLimit anymore. I am sorry to all the NoLimit fans who supported me, but I got tired of Master P taking/Stealing my music and using it for himself to attempt to become relevant again. This man called me yesterday asking me to sign a contract that I obviously turned down...twice. Master P tried to have me sign for 7 years! We all know my style of music and it already does not fit the NoLimit persona." he said.

The rapper then went on to address the mistreatment of his signed artists and claims that they were allegedly housed in his studio's basement, "One thing you should know about P is he surrounds himself around a bunch of "yes men" who are trained to not speak unless spoken to.

You got all the money in the world, but yet your artists and NoLimit affiliates are living like straight s***; all of the artist live in the basement of P's studio in what feels like prison cells with paper thin walls and no privacy," he wrote, "I thought when you work for someone you get paid for it and that was NOT the case, n***** were hungry, sleeping on floors, couldn't take showers, but yet P would walk in with his thousand dollar outfits & say alright let's do a video while we all looked f***** up!"

No Limit Records Responds To Young Junns Rant

(The Wrap-Up Magazine) Pittsburgh’s local artist Junne has brought the worst of behavior to hip hop with his social media post that many have called a “clearly negative and desperate attack” for fame. Here’s the truth, Junne was found by No Limit Forever A&R Mr. Ross and was invited to come record music with the No Limit forever family and see if he would be a good f1t for them there at No Limit Forever. First of all P had nothing to do with this. Junne, like many independent artists showed up with many financial burdens.

Upon his arrival, while recording We provided him with money for meals, clothing, gas, countless flights to Seattle, Pittsburgh and money for many other endeavors of Junne’s with no contract. Junne was and is relatively unknown to the hip hop consumers. Burning up a No Limit Contract is like burning money, we only do 50/50 partnerships with artists while most labels only offer three sixty deals.

All P has ever asked of any artist was to invest their time. So if you call the studio a prison and prefer to party more than you put in work you can’t be serious about your career. Its funny how just last week he was posting all of this No Limit stuff up, but when mysteriously he posts up a video which was not authorized by No Limit Video director, he desperately turned it into his own video, and then he goes on a social media rant.

No Limit Forever A&R Director Mr. Bursh said “Junne was never signed to No Limit Forever Records and it’s truly disappointing that Junne has made it obviously clear that he is ungrateful for the opportunities that were offered him. The fact of the matter is Master P doesn’t benefit from working with unknown artists being he has already built a label that has sold over seventy five million records and he has dropped multiple mixtapes this year alone which makes him the hardest working artist on our label plus he’s the BOSS!

Were not saying Usher is better than R. Kelly or anything, we just want to know which artist would you choose to listen to first? You can comment your answer below, but before that, lets learn a little about both artist.
