Who Is Your Favorite No Limit Soldier Rapper?

The No Limit Soldiers were the hardest rap group to hit music stores in the late 1990's. With Master P as the captain of the tank, who could knock off a group of warriors who released albums months after months?

New Orleans label No Limit Records dominated the 1990s. A no limit soldier is a guy/gal who can hold his/her own with the liquor and party all night. They don't give up until the floor claims them for the night.

Inside Cash Money's Vault

Birdman and Slim founded Cash Money in their native New Orleans to serve as a home for hip-hop. After initially following the “hustler” footsteps of their father, Slim says, they decided to try making a living in music.

Early recruits included producer Mannie Fresh and rapper Pimp Daddy, but their best investment was an 11-year-old wordsmith who called himself Shrimp Daddy—later, Lil Wayne. Drake and Nicki Minaj followed, propelling Cash Money into the 21st century. Forbes' Zack O'Malley Greenburg dives into the label's past.

Possible First-Ever Marijuana Overdose

Recently, we did a article on marijuana causing health problems and now according to the New Orleans Advocate, Coroner Christy Montegut claims that he's recorded the first-ever case of a marijuana overdose.

A police report noted the woman allegedly visited the emergency room with a chest infection three weeks before she died, with Montegut adding that nothing in the toxicology report pointed to other causes of death. He stated, "It looked like it was all THC because her autopsy showed no physical disease or afflictions that were the cause of death. There was nothing else identified in the toxicology—no other drugs, no alcohol. There was nothing else."

Former senior policy adviser at the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy, Keith Humphreys, questioned the report, saying there would be more recorded marijuana overdoses if humans were able to consume that level of THC.

Marijuana has been used for years by smokers from all over the globe, but now THC is used in various new ways than before. Not only that, the Government is also experimenting with marijuana in ways we have never seen.

Who is to say what the future of Marijuana holds for household that use cannabis as a supplement. While the fight to legalize marijuana is still on going, there is another fight behind closed doors to keep it from becoming legal.

Does Twerking Empower Women?

For some women, doing a Twerk dance makes them feel good about themselves. Some women just do it because they think it's apart of their culture.

Twerking is a type of dance originating as part of the bounce music scene of New Orleans in the late 1980s. Individually-performed, chiefly but not exclusively by women, dancers move throwing or thrusting their hips back or shaking their buttocks, often in a low squatting stance.

Twerking strengthens muscles in just about every part of your body! Not only do you sculpt, tone and grow your badonkadonk, your thighs become super strong, your hip flexibility increases and more than anything, boosts your confidence.

The twerking craze quickly swept the social media world, and it's showing very little signs of slowing down.

In Recent News:

After firing back at Tomi Lahren, the “Money” rapper aimed her social media ire at Daily Caller video columnist Stephanie Hamill on Tuesday. The conservative reporter singled out Cardi — who has been making headlines for her anti-Trump views recently — claiming her sexualized music videos, like the one for “Twerk,” don’t empower women.

Source

Cardi B has made it clear she’s fed up with the government shutdown, using her platform to criticize President Trump and his administration. And she’s not going to shut up anytime soon.

So I guess the big question is Twerking and is it healthy. I guess you can say in so many ways it is all in how you carry yourself.

How Master P Survived A Decade Of Music

When Master P first entered the music industry, it was never about music. Percy Miller is a business man all the way around the board.

The No Limit Soldiers kept the music industry on lock by releasing new content every month. Upon arrival with his debut album "Bout It Bout It" Master P had the largest movie and soundtrack surfacing during that time.

Back in 2014, in an interview with VladTV, Master P recently claimed to have sold as many as 75 million albums during his tenure with No Limit Records. Having gained immense popularity in his musical career, Master P is also the CEO of P. Miller Enterprises. As of 2018, Master P's net worth is roughly $250 million.

Master P and the No Limit Soldiers was the hottest rap group until Cash Money records hit the scene to slow down their record sales. Master P created a hip-hop empire without registering on any mainstream radar. For several years, he operated solely in the rap underground.

Beginning in the early 1990s, the New Orleans native dominated the landscape for much of the decade with a staggering amount of product. Although many associate P with The Big Easy, he established the No Limit brand in Northern California.

Shifting the label to New Orleans, P signed Mystikal, Kane & Abel, Mia-X, the late Soulja Slim and former Death Row artist Snoop Dogg.

It wasn’t all music with Master P, as the mogul’s film company continues to release films independently in DVD format to this day. P has been engaged in several business ventures over the years and the introduction of the digital-only No Limit Forever record entity only solidifies he’s not going anywhere soon.

Lil Wayne Releases New #MusicVideo "Uproar"

Lil Wayne
The New Orleans rap legend unloads a new visual for "Uproar," a Swizz Beatz-produced cut that takes inspiration from G-Dep's "Special Delivery" instrumental.

In the video, Swizzy and Shiggy show off their dance moves as they go along with the fluttering instrumental. Throughout the visual, we're taken to the street, and it's there we can see folks pop-locking along to the track. Weezy himself also does a little dancing at different points of the new video.

"Uproar" immediately became a viral sensation, sparking a dance challenge within days. Taking part in the challenge, which saw social media users upload videos of themselves dancing to the track, was Shiggy, who obviously appears in Weezy's new video.

Lloyd - “Excited” #MusicVideo

Lloyd
Lloyd is so “Excited” and so are we to see him unveil the sexy music video for one of our favorite tracks off his album, TRU. Directed by Jamaica Craft and Chante Jacobs, the visual carries retro themes as the R&B star performs a slick two-step dance routine with two partners in a photo studio and kicks game to his love interest posted up against a green jeep.

“Having an all around good time to music is a family pastime. Whether we were driving to New Orleans for the summer, hanging out with friends at the skating rink, at the park for a bbq, or out on a date, there was one common denominator. Music. It was the soundtrack to some of my life’s most memorable moments. My hope is that ‘Excited,’ a song inspired by my love for skating, dancing, and live music, will be played during those same memorable moments in the lives of others. So Tie up your skates real tight, grab a partner, and get off the wall!”

Whats Next For Wayne And His Empire

Lil Wayne just got a 10 million dollar check cut t him on behalf of a lawsuit with Birdman, he is also cut free from Cash Money Records. So What's next for the greatest rapper of all time?

Will Wayne go to Roc Nation or begin his own thing? Lil Wayne fans threw their lighters up last week when news broke that the New Orleans rap icon reportedly settled his dispute.

R&B singer and Cash Money signee Jacquees has another side to that story, though. “I just talked to Stunna the other day,” Jacquees confirmed. “He told me Wayne Cash Money. He said everything good.”

Baby even said he’d arrange for Weezy to hop on a record with the 24-year-old, too. Another Cash Money vet, and New Orleans emcee, Mack Maine, affirmed this after letting Jacquees know that Wayne “always rocked with [him].”
