The Georgia Tech Cheerleaders

Georgia may have some of the best players in all of college football on the field, and they have some of the best cheerleaders on the sidelines too. The Georgia cheerleaders are some of the hottest in the SEC. They always get the Bulldog fans excited for wins at Sanford Stadium.
All the preseason hype has gone to Alabama, and it's easy to forget that Georgia was just eight yards away from an SEC championship last year. And, if Aaron Murray had completed that pass, Georgia would have most likely beaten over-hyped Notre Dame to win the national title.
The Georgia Tech Cheerleaders are a highly visible and enthusiastic athletic group on campus. As ambassadors of Georgia Tech and Georgia Tech Athletics.

Georgia Prison Executes Disabled Man

Hill was already serving a life sentence for murdering his girlfriend in 1985 when he killed a fellow inmate in 1990, earning him a spot on death row. He was originally scheduled to be executed by lethal injection in 2012, but managed to postpone three times—until the Supreme Court declined to grant him a stay of execution Tuesday afternoon.“

Today, the Court has unconscionably allowed a grotesque miscarriage of justice to occur in Georgia,” Hill’s lawyer, Brian Kammer, told reporters. “Georgia has been allowed to execute an unquestionably intellectually disabled man, Warren Hill, in direct contravention of the Court’s clear precedent prohibiting such cruelty.”

On Tuesday night, Georgia executed Warren Lee Hill—an inmate with an IQ of 70—who was unable to prove he had a mental disability under Georgia’s strict legal standard.

Confrontation Over Phone Ends Fatal

The fatal shooting of a 25-year-old man in Macon, Georgia was captured on surveillance video on Thursday, February 23.

The three and a half minute video shows victim Kareem Mano in a long exchange with a man authorities have identified as De'Andre Malik, 20, in the gas station/ parking lot of USA Grocery on Rocky Creek Road at around 3:20 p.m. What for minutes seemed like a friendly engagement would eventually grow heated, but not before some curious actions take place.

After getting out of a white sedan, Thomas hands something to Mano. Mano then approaches the car and pulls out what appears to be a gun. He then slips it back into his waistband, and they ensue with their conversation. Thomas then pulls out his own firearm and begins shooting, chasing Mano a short distance as he continues to let off shots. Mano then collapses behind a white SUV. The altercation is believed to have involved Mano arranging to meet Thomas in order to confront him about stealing his girlfriend's sister's cellphone.

Thomas was out on $65,000 bond and awaiting trial on charges of armed robbery, false imprisonment and carrying a weapon on school grounds, when he was arrested. The charges are reported to have stemmed from a Mercer University campus stick up he was involved in last April.

Offset Talks Kim Kardashian Being President

Kim Kardashian's flirtation with political activism has Offset's support. In an interview today (Sept. 6) with TMZ, the Migos member praised the reality television star's advocacy for criminal justice reform.

"Hell yeah, I fuck with that shit. I've been through that shit," Offset said in response to a question about Kardashian's work. "To be able to have a second chance? That's one hunnid."

The rapper, currently touring on Drake's Aubrey and the Three Migos Tour, faces charges in Georgia for an improper lane change, possession of marijuana, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon and possession of a weapon after being pulled over in a traffic stop that his attorney has called "racially motivated."

TMZ's inquiry seems to be inspired by Kardashian's recent meetings with Donald Trump, whom she's now lobbied to free two people in prison, including Alice Marie Johnson, whose sentence for cocaine distribution and money laundering was commuted by the president in June after the 63-year-old woman spent 23 years in federal prison.

Kardashian reportedly returned to the White House yesterday (Sept. 5) to seek a pardon for Chris Young, whose 2010 arrest for marijuana and cocaine possession led to a life sentence in maximum-security prison. Young is one of around 3,800 individuals currently serving life sentences in the United States for drug offenses, according to the Buried Alive Project.

"He’s had to have a few surgeries and he’s been in a medical facility for a few years, and he goes back into the maximum-security prison where lifers have to go. And he’s had a perfect record," Kardashian told Jason Flom’s Wrongful Conviction podcast.
