Twin Blasts Hit Iran

Sad to say but at least 22 people have been killed and more than 140 injured in a double suicide bombing outside the Iranian embassy in the Lebanese capital Beirut. The Iranian cultural attache, Sheikh Ibrahim Ansari, is among the dead.

The Sunni jihadist group Abdullah Azzam Brigades said it was behind the attack. Iran is a major backer of the Lebanese Shia militant group Hezbollah, which has sent fighters to Syria to back the government of Bashar al-Assad.

White Supremacists Arrested

In North Dakota, Craig Cobb and another white supremacist, Kynan Dutton, were taken into custody after residents of the town where they’ve moved called 911 to report that the pair had been trying to threaten and intimidate them with guns.

Leith City Councilman Lee Cook said the pair approached them holding a rifle and shotgun and stood at the edge of his property. Dutton had his finger on the rifle trigger, Cook said, but neither gun was aimed directly at anyone.
