What If You Had The Chance To Meet AC/DC?

AC/DC is known as one of the greatest rock bands ever, and it's hard to imagine a live sporting event without their music. Brian Johnson is crediting fans for sticking with AC/DC.

I don't think most of their male fans should take them seriously either. And I'm damn sure the band doesn't take itself seriously. AC/DC was formed in 1973 in Sydney, Australia by Malcolm Young. AC/DC have won only one Grammy Award in their career, for the Black Ice song “War Machine” in 2010.

AC/DC's fist ever headline show was at the Melbourne Festival Hall on 4 November, 1975. AC/DC were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on March 10, 2003.

Why Ashanti And Ja Rule Had The Empire We All Wanted

Murder Inc. was the record label every company wanted to be. In the early 2000's you couldn't turn on your radio without hearing a Ja Rule and Ashanti song.

Hailing from Hollis, Queens, Ja Rule made his debut in 1999 with his first studio album Venni Vetti Vecci  lead by the single "Holla Holla." From 1999 to 2005, Ja Rule would reign as one of the top-selling hip-hop artists.

Ashanti was discovered as a teenager and signed to Murder Inc. in 2001. After generating buzz following her appearance on Big Pun's "How We Roll,"  she teamed up with Fat Joe and Ja Rule for the hit single, What's Luv?" In 2002, Ashanti released her self-titled album, Ashanti. The album sold over half a million copies within the first week.

In 2001, Ja Rule released his third studio album Pain Is Love. He teamed up with Caddillac Tah, Black Child, and Ashanti on the track "The Inc." While the album had some hit singles, "The Inc." fell short in creating the vibe of a gangsta crew that they were going for.

After the success of Ashanti's first self-titled album in 2002, she didn't wait long to release a follow-up album. Chapter II was released in 2003 and the hit singles, "Rain on Me," "Rock Wit U (Awww Baby)," and "Breakup 2 Makeup" were all on this album.

In 2002, Murder Inc. Records was a force to be reckoned with; the label was producing hit albums and singles under the direction of CEO Irv Gotti. Gotti released the compilation album Irv Gotti Presents: The Inc. The album featured songs from all the artists on the label. "Down 4 You," was the first single off the record and featured Ja Rule, Ashanti, Vita and Charlie Baltimore.

Ja released the remix to "The Pledge" featuring the Queens rapper,  Ashanti, and Tupac Shakur. As usual, Ashanti was on the hook adding her vocals to make the song catchy, and fans ate it up.

When "Always On Time" hit radio airwaves in 2001 it was an instant hit. The song paired with the video introduced fans to Ja Rule and Ashanti as a dynamic duo. The single was Ja Rule's first number 1 hit to top the Billboard Hot 100.

Even Gene Simmons Can't Believe How Big KISS's Success Is

Music fans have long been charmed by Kiss's ferocious rise in the '70s from a rat-infested rehearsal space to worldwide acclaim, but Simmons tells Q104.3 New York's Jim Kerr and Shelli Sonstein that the view from the proverbial Kiss rocket ship is "even crazier."

The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer says he struggled for years to articulate what it means for Kiss to be so successful for so long. He offered an analogy to explain his perspective.

Guns N' Roses Still Reaches More Than 5 Million Fans

Guns N' Roses
Guns N' Roses' Not in This Lifetime reunion tour with Slash and Duff McKagan continues to produce incredible figures in testimony of GNR's rarified place in rock and roll history.

The tour has made a little over 140 stops at arenas, stadiums and festivals around the world since kicking off in 2016. All those shows mean GNR has performed for some 5 million people over the last two years, reports Live Nation.

Earlier this summer, Guns N' Roses broke Metallica's record for concert attendance in Sweden and became the most-viewed band on YouTube to come out of the '80s or '90s.

The tour is coming to an end this December as the band takes its bows in cities in Asia and the Pacific.

After that, everybody but Slash will take a vacation, then the band is expected to consider putting some new music together.

GNR's most recent release was the Locked N' Loaded special edition box set to celebrate the 30th anniversary of its groundbreaking debut album, Appetite for Destruction, which rocketed back into the top 10 on the album charts this past summer.

The band's last new music release was 2008's Chinese Democracy, or what Slash has referred to as "Axl's album."

Kid Rock Talks Beyonce And White Chicks

Kid Rock told Rolling Stone he is “flabbergasted” by Beyoncé worship, saying, “Beyoncé, to me, doesn’t have a fucking ‘Purple Rain,’ but she’s the biggest thing on Earth. How can you be that big without at least one ‘Sweet Home Alabama’ or ‘Old Time Rock & Roll’? People are like, ‘Beyoncé’s hot. Got a nice fucking ass.’ I’m like, ‘Cool, I like skinny white chicks with big tits.’ Doesn’t really fucking do much for me.”

He has been hanging around with the likes of Hank Williams, Jr. and Bob Seger, the latter of which wrote “F.O.A.D.” (aka, Fuck Off and Die) for Kid Rock’s new album First Kiss. He also bought his 500-acre property in Troy, Ala., from a tip from Williams — sight unseen — to go along with his houses in Michigan, Malibu and Nashville.

B.I.G. SUV Sells For $1.5 Million

One week after the BMW Tupac was shot in on the Vegas strip in 1996 was put on the market for $1.5 million, the SUV Biggie was murdered in in 1997 went up for sale for the same cost.

On Thursday, March 2, it was announced that the sale of the green GMC Suburban the Brooklyn rapper was riding shotgun in when a gunman pulled up alongside the vehicle and took his life in L.A. in 1997, has gone public. Its current owner divulged to TMZ that it was in seeing the price Tupac's car was valued at that she decided to test the market as well.

The owner originally came into possession of the vehicle seven months after B.I.G's murder on March 9 of that year. Intriguingly, she says that the family wasn't even aware of the Suburban's history until 2005, when a detective contacted them to request it as evidence in the rapper's wrongful death trial.

A brand new purchase of the same '97 model today would run a buyer a mere $2,000. But the historical value it now attains is unquestionable with hip hop's rise to rock and roll fame over the past two decades. The passenger seat belt still has a bullet hole in it, to boot. The BMW 750IL Pac was shot in also still had markings of the bullets sprayed into the car, with an indentation in the license plate as well as the door panel. In contrast to the history of the SUV though, Tupac's Beemer has changed hands several times since his shooting.

The Notorious One was gunned down after leaving an industry party in L.A. only six months after Tupac's dramatic death. The fact that his life was stopped on the West Coast, following a public rap beef that was sensationalized by the media as an East vs. West, rivalry has brought the incident to survive with a lasting allure, encapsulated by the time that it took place.
