Fat Joe Sued By Big Pun's Family

Joey Crack and his co-defendant, music publisher Jelly’s Jams, made a deal with Big Pun’s widow, Liza Rios in her breach of contract case that will effectively stop it from going to trial. Lawyers for the parties announced the deal Wednesday morning during a status hearing at Manhattan Federal Court.

The settlement news comes one day after lawyers for both sides spent all day in mediation. Neither Fat Joe nor John “Jellybean” Benitez of Jelly’s Jams appeared at Wednesday’s hearing. Big Pun’s widow sued the Fat Joe and music publisher Jelly’s Jams for breach of contract, alleging that Fat Joe reneged on a deal to split Pun’s music profits, and wants his back royalties, advances and money from using his songs on TV and in movies.

Watch Mack 10 & Fat Joe - Thicker Than Water Movie #NowPlaying

How many of you have seen the movie "Thicker Than Water?" Or like me, how many of you haven't? Thicker Than Water is a 1999 film directed by Richard Cummings Jr. and starring a host of rappers and urban entertainers such as Fat Joe, Mack 10, Ice Cube, MC Eiht, Big Pun, and others.

This dramatically-charged film tells the story of rival "top dogs" from two inner-city gangs who cooperate amidst a turf war to promote their music. When DJ's (Mack 10) mixing equipment sets on fire and a record company executive double-crosses Lonzo (Fat Joe), the two decide to take the future into their own hands.

Irv Gotti Talks Beef Between Jay-Z and 2Pac

2Pac was attempting to ignite total warfare against The Notorious B.I.G. This means anyone that stood next to Biggie was liable to be hit with a direct shot. Per Irv Gotti, that was the case when it came to 2Pac's issue with Jay-Z

Irv made a recent appearance on Fat Joe's Instagram Live show, The Fat Joe Show, during which he touched on Jigga's tension with 2Pac. Gotti told Joey Crack that Hov got on 2Pac's bad side by having Biggie featured on "Brooklyn's Finest" from his debut album, Reasonable Doubt. On the track, Big makes a rare allusion to 2Pac by using his name in witty wordplay.

"Gotta go, Coolio mean it's gettin' Too Hot," Biggie raps after making a reference to "Who Shot Ya" earlier in the song. "If Fay' had twins, she'd probably have two Pacs/Get it? Tu... Pac's?" Per Gotti, allowing Biggie to get this off on his record put Hov in 2Pac's crosshairs.

“This is a true story you could ask Michael Bivins, you can ask Ronnie Devoe, Ricky Bell, I showed Michael Jackson how to Moonwalk. I’m not insinuating, I’m letting you know that this is what happened. This is how the Moonwalk was formed,” he added.

Did Eminem And Mariah Carey Date?

Throughout his career, Eminem has claimed he once had a relationship with Carey, dating her for six months. Eminem even took drastic measures by dissing Mariah Carey in a song called "The Warning".

The feud between Eminem and Mariah Carey has been going on since 2002. In 2001, Mariah Carey allegedly met up with Eminem to discuss the possibility of a collaboration on her 2002 Charmbracelet. Eminem has alleged that after the meeting, the two celebrity artists dated for six months, a claim that Mariah has always denied.

In 2002, Eminem first mentioned Mariah in a song called "Superman" off his fourth studio album The Eminem Show, Eminem rapped: “What you tryin’ to be, my new wife? What you Mariah? Fly through twice.”

Would You Like To See A Nas And Jay-Z Collaborate Again?

The history of Jay-Z and Nas beef will be talked about for years to come. It seems like it was just yesterday when Nas and Jay-Z were involved in the what some may call the greatest Hip-Hop battle of all time.

It seems that Jay-Z and Nas have put all of that behind them. In 2006, Nas was good enough for Jay-Z to sign him to a $3 Million dollar record deal. Even Fat Joe and Jim Jones have a long-standing history with JAY-Z, having beefed with him in the early 2000s.

Until we hear otherwise, let's look at past Jay-Z and Nas collaborations and beef and talk in today's terms. What if they were to collaborate again in the near future. Do you think they would produce there best work yet? Or do you feel it would only end up as it did the first time?
