Will Kanye West and Jay-Z Reunite For ‘Watch The Throne 2’

 

Just a few days out from the tenth anniversary of Kanye West and Jay-Z’s collaborative epic, ‘Watch The Throne’, social media personality and friend of West’s Justin Laboy has claimed that a follow-up album is coming – and sooner than fans might expect.

Kanye West has faced backlash since his infamous ‘Drink Champs’ interview, where he made anti-semitic comments. West was reportedly dropped by Adidas for his remarks, then ultimately had his G.O.O.D. Music label, and his own contract dropped from Def Jam. Now, it has been reported that Kano, the brand responsible for West’s Stem Player, has dropped the rapper as a client.

Shawn Corey Carter (born December 4, 1969), known professionally as Jay-Z (stylized as JAY-Z) is an American rapper and businessman. He is one of the best-selling musicians of all time, having sold more than 100 million records, while receiving 21 Grammy Awards for his music. 

MTV ranked him the "Greatest MC of all time" in 2006.

Bone Thugs-N-Harmony Vs. Wu Tang Clan

At the 1996 Def Jam Holiday Party, tensions between the two camps surged to a boiling point after Ghostface Killah confronted Wish Bone as he was walking through NYC club Mirage (now Terminal 5).

According to Cons, a confrontation between members of the Wu-Tang Clan and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony ignited a pretty serious brawl around the height of their fame.

At the time, the East Coast and West Coast feud was in full swing, and Ghostface apparently didn’t take too kindly to a rapper signed to Eazy-E’s Los Angeles-based Ruthless Records label hanging out at the NYC hot spot.

Roc-A-Fella Records co-founder Damon Dash appeared on the latest episode of Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay podcast and spoke about a very specific detail from a meeting with Jay-Z that led him to believing in doing business with the future legend.

The Jay-Z vs. Nas beef was a gladiatorial battle between two rap titans. For almost a decade, two of rap's most decorated emcees went at each other's throat.

At one point, they even took a poll about the beef, with 58% of listeners saying they preferred “Ether” to “Supa Ugly”. The consensus seemed to point to Nas as the winner. “Ether” has since become an emblematic diss track, with rappers reinterpreting it for their beef purposes.

Jay Z and Nas' feud was sparked over a Memphis Bleek lyric in 2000's 'My Mind Right', causing the rapper to respond to both Bleek and Jay Z on future mixtape tracks. The feud escalated further when Jay Z called Nas "lame" on 2001's 'The Takeover', prompting Nas to take aim at Jay on 'Ether'. The beef continued in this wild manner until they ended it publicly at the 'I Declare War' concert in Philadelphia in 2005.

Sir Charles was recently in Dayton, Ohio a few weeks ago to participate in a video shoot with Indiana-based Rap artist Mr. Perfect (who also has a deal pending with Def Jam). He took time from his busy schedule for a Q&A.

An Abu Dhabi-based investment firm linked to a top security official in the United Arab Emirates said Thursday it has invested $25 million in Savage X Fenty, the lingerie company co-founded by megastar and business mogul Rihanna.

Savage X Fenty also raised new investment from the Abu Dhabi Growth Fund, owned by the Abu Dhabi government.
