Jennifer Lopez, Alex Rodriguez endorse Joe Biden

 

The couple had a virtual chat with the former vice president and his wife, Dr. Jill Biden, where they voiced their support for the Democratic nominee.


Jennifer Lopez, 51, and Rodriguez, 45, also discussed their concerns about the economy, the coronavirus pandemic, racism, and the importance of the Latino community voting.


"We're thrilled and we're excited to vote. I think our voice has never been more important," Rodriguez said in the video posted to Biden’s social media on Friday. "We want to come together as a team to defeat Covid and to rebuild this U.S. economy that needs us all so much."

Jlo and A-Rod Say "It's Not Over Yet"

 


Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez have announced they are staying together.


"We are working through some things," they said in a joint statement obtained by PEOPLE.


"They never officially broke up and talked about it but are still together. They hit a rough patch. But were not broken up," a source close to the pair tells PEOPLE. The source added that the speculation that arose last month that Rodriguez had had an affair after Southern Charm's Madison LeCroy "had no bearing on the rough patch at all. "

Eminem wins big at 31st Detroit Music Awards

 


Jazz-soul singer Tosha Owens led the slate of winners Sunday night at the 31st Detroit Music Awards, taking three honors across multiple genres.


Owens took outstanding blues artist, rock-pop recording (“Love More, Hate Less” with Bob Mervak) and vocalist in the streaming ceremony, the show’s third year as an online-only event.

People dining indoors at New York City’s restaurants, browsing art at its museums or sweating in its gyms had to show proof Tuesday that they were at least partially inoculated against COVID-19 as the city began the nation’s largest effort yet to exclude the unvaccinated from public places.

Jay-Z Announces The Return Of Made In America Festival

 


The Made In America Festival is returning to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania this Labor Day Weekend. The 2021 edition of the Roc Nation-produced musical event is scheduled for Saturday, September 4 and Sunday, September 5.


Made In America was founded by Roc Nation leader/Hip Hop icon Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter in 2012. Last year’s MIA was rescheduled due to safety concerns caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and civil unrest in America at the time.
