Hip-hop mogul Jay-Z would be considered by many as one of the biggest artists of all time. At one point, however, he felt his contemporary Eminem was bigger than he was. But after working with the diamond-selling artist, Jay-Z saw what that kind of fame did to Eminem. And it was something that Jay-Z wanted no part of.
Jay-Z believed that Eminem bested him when they originally collaborated.
On Sunday (Sep. 24), the R&B icon announced that he’ll be headlining Apple Music’s halftime show for Super Bowl LVIII. In addition, he revealed the title of his long-awaited album, Coming Home, and its release date of February 11, 2024.
Super Bowl LVIII will take place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, which is where Usher currently holds a residency until the end of the year.
With 73.5 million new certifications, Eminem is now the number one awarded musician in RIAA’s history with 227.5 million in total.
Among the total includes 61.5 million in album certifications and 166 million in singles certifications.
Ahead of West Coast legend The Game's forthcoming album Drillmatic, the Compton native released a song titled "The Black Slim Shady" taking aim at Eminem.
Many people have spoken highly of the halftime show that went down at the NFL Super Bowl this year, which featured Dr. Dre, Kendrick Lamar, Mary J. Blige, Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, Anderson Paak, and Eminem.
