YouTube Raises Its TV Prices

The Google-owned service, not to be confused with the free version of YouTube, also announced that it's adding Discovery channels including Discovery Channel, HGTV, Food Network, TLC, Investigation Discovery, Animal Planet, Travel Channel, and MotorTrend. 

YouTube TV, a live TV streaming service designed to replace a traditional cable TV package, will raise its monthly price from $40 to $50. Subscribers billed through Apple will have to pay $55.

YouTube TV is one of a handful of new subscription options aimed at cable TV cord cutters who want to stream live TV channels such as ESPN, TNT and CNN, as well as local channels including ABC, CBS, Fox and NBC.

Apple takes a 30 percent share of subscription revenue made through iOS apps or iTunes, with that cut dropping to 15 percent if the app holds onto the member for subsequent years.

YouTube TV's official twitter feed says current subscribers will see the increase in the first billing cycle after May 13. Unlike DirecTV Now, which allows subscribers to keep the older, lower pricing if they don't cancel service, there's no so-called grandfathered pricing with YouTube TV.

Get Ready For Stranger Things 3 Premiering On Netflix

The first two seasons of Stranger Things took my breathe away. This is one of the best t.v. shows on Netflix. I completely enjoyed every moment of it.

There has not been a show that made me stay up day and night in a long time. While watching the show, I didn't want to sleep or miss a moment.

Now season 3 is getting ready to come out and I hope it's as good as the first two. In case you never watched Stranger Things, here is the run down below.

New to the town is tomboy Max, who befriends the boys and attracts the romantic interests of Dustin and Lucas.

Netflix’s Stranger Things season three was a dead cert even before the second season dropped to widespread hysteria in October 2017, and the company made it official late in 2017.

It was a great start to the new year for Stranger Things fans, with Netflix announcing on Instagram that the new third season will drop on 4th July 2019 – Independence Day in the USA. On 10 November 2018, David Harbour confirmed that he had finished filming – and that he was looking forward to shaving off his mustache.

Kevin Hart Says He's Not Doing The Academy Awards

Comedian Kevin Hart on Thursday night said he's pulling out as host of the Academy Awards after he came under fire for old homophobic tweets and jokes that were recently resurfaced by people on social media.

"I have made the choice to step down from hosting this year's Oscar's....this is because I do not want to be a distraction on a night that should be celebrated by so many amazing talented artists," he tweeted. "I sincerely apologize to the LGBTQ community for my insensitive words from my past."

The move came after Variety reported that he said he had been given an ultimatum by the motion picture academy to apologize for statements he made years ago that used hurtful and homophobic terms to describe gay men or he would be replaced.

Earlier in the day, Hart responded to a backlash that unfolded after those jokes and tweets were resurfaced by people online after it was announced he would host the 2019 Oscars.

Hart posted a video to his Instagram on Thursday evening where he wrote in the caption for people to "stop being negative" in response to criticism that he made insensitive jokes about gay men nearly a decade ago.

The comedian didn't apologize or admit wrongdoing in his video, but said that the world was getting to be "beyond crazy."

"Guys, I’m almost 40 years old. If you don’t believe that people change, grow, evolve as people get older, I don’t know what to tell you," Hart, 39, said in the video. "If you want to hold people in a position where they always have to justify or explain their past, than do you. I'm the wrong guy."

Corey Haim’s friend Corey Feldman recently contacted the LAPD regarding his claims of having a whole list of pedos. There’s no word on if one of the names is that of Charlie Sheen’s.

50 Cent To Produce Two New T.V. Drama Series

Rapper, actor and producer 50 Cent isn't stopping. He has connected with Sony Pictures Television’s streaming network Crackle to executive produce two crime-themed drama series.

"Curtis, G-Unit Film & Television Inc., Storied Media Group and Joe Halpin are the perfect team to take this extraordinarily fast-paced and complex narrative to Crackle's passionate and engaged audience. This is the kind of unexpected storytelling that our viewers have come to expect and we look forward to breaking new ground with this new original drama,” said Eric Berger, Crackle’s GM and EVP Digital at Sony Pictures Television Networks.

In addition to "The Oath", 50 Cent will also executive produce an hour-long original drama series “RPM” (working title). Written by Leo Sardarian, the crime drama is set in the working-class streets of Boston’s most corrupt neighborhoods following a used-car salesman who starts moonlighting as a getaway driver for a crime syndicate. "RPM" is produced by Adam Riback, Nick Phillips and Kelly Wagner.

Fans of the 1988 Eddie Murphy classic "Coming to America" will be delighted to learn that it looks like the veteran actor/comedian slipped and spilled the beans about a sequel potentially coming to theaters soon in a since-deleted tweet.

Murphy surprised fans on Wednesday night March 15, when he took to Twitter with an image of actress Vanessa Bell Calloway that bared a caption reading, "Coming to America sequel?"

TMZ would later report that its sources confirmed that production for a sequel is indeed in the works, but it is in early writing stages. Murphy's tweet, and account, were deleted after the leak.
