Tribeca-Grand - NY-PHI

Following the success of their song “Take A Knee” that is Number 5 on RapAttackLive.com college radio chart, Tribeca-Grand releases another hot track, “NY-PHI,” now available on all digital service providers.

The song also includes an interpolation of Boyz II Men’s Grammy Award-winner “Motownphilly.” The artwork, created by renowned Australian artist Cint Clare, is equally adventurous, turning the Statue of Liberty into a medallion-rockin' femcee.

The group explains the motivation for the song. "We wanted to follow up with something that spoke to who we are aside from ‘Take A Knee,’” Tribeca-Grand says about “NY-PHI.” “The obvious part is where we're from. But to mash up Digable Planets and Boyz II Men, that speaks more to the flavor of the forthcoming album Sport Of The Gods. It’s adventurous and artful, but commercially solid."
