Boosie was sent to prison on a probation violation and marijuana possession charges in 2009, and in 2011 his sentence was extended when he pleaded guilty for attempting to smuggle in narcotics. He had also been facing charges for the murder of Terry Boyd since 2009, but he was acquitted in 2012.
Rumors have been circulating for months that Baton Rouge rapper Lil Boosie, who has been incarcerated since 2009, would be returning home from prison soon. So far, however, an actual date has just been a matter of speculation. According to New Orleans‘ NOLA.com, there’s now a date people can look forward to: August 18, 2014.
That’s the date on record with the Louisiana Department of Public Safety and Corrections, the publication reported. Based on a separate conversation with Pam Laborde, the agency’s communications director, NOLA.com added that Boosie will be under supervision until June 17, 2018. Congrads.. +LIL BOOSIE
