A high school student named Gergory Hayes, 17, was shot and killed at his high school prom after dancing with another boys date. The murder happened at Gateway high school’s special prom night. A few witnesses explained the horrible scene as “shocking” and “traumatic”.
The killer, identified as Kevin Connor, 19, shot and killed Gregory while sharing a dance with Victoria Hague, who was Kevin’s date. “She told kevin she was going to the bathroom.” says witness Audrey Torres. Apparently Kevin found Victoria dancing on the other side of the dance floor with Gregory and lost his temper and pulled out a glock 17 and shot Gregory dead.
Kevin decided to turn himself in when police arrived to the scene minutes later. Kevin will be tried as an adult and will most likely serve life in prison if found guilty. Family and friends are mourning Gregory’s murder and will hold his funeral soon.
