Mystikal Request Denied

Mystikal
According to KSLA, Mystikal appeared before Caddo Parish Judge Romana Emanuel today (Oct. 5) to request that his bond be reduced by a third, which she readily denied. Mystikal has been awaiting trial for the last year at Caddo Correctional facility, where he remains on charges stemming from an alleged assault that took place in October 2016 at a casino in Shreveport, La.

Mystikal has previously pleaded not guilty to the charges of first-degree rape and second-degree kidnapping. The unnamed woman accused both Mystikal, born Michael Tyler Henry, and another man, Averweone Darnell Holman, of raping her. Holman faces the same charges.

A third individual, a woman named Tenichia Monieck Wafford, has also been charged with obstruction of justice in relation to the alleged assault for reportedly trying to convince the woman to retract her story.

Mystikal's last good news was in November of 2017, when he secured attorney Timothy Yazbek to take his case. He's due in court again on Oct. 25 for his next hearing.

Why Did No Limit Records Breakup?

In 2004, the reorganized label had moved to Koch Records for distribution. From 2004 to 2005, The New No Limit Records issued new albums by Master P, Silkk the Shocker, C-Murder, Lil' Romeo and the reformed TRU.

These are just a few events that happened during the rise of No Limit Records. Percy “Master P” Miller had one of the most historic runs in Hip-Hop with his No Limit Records enterprise. Beginning in the early 1990s.

In 1999, Kane & Abel left from No Limit Records and started their own label entitled, Most Wanted Empire, later securing a new label deal with Elektra Records. On September 21, 1999, Kane & Abel released their fourth album, Rise to Power.

How Master P Survived A Decade Of Music

When Master P first entered the music industry, it was never about music. Percy Miller is a business man all the way around the board.

The No Limit Soldiers kept the music industry on lock by releasing new content every month. Upon arrival with his debut album "Bout It Bout It" Master P had the largest movie and soundtrack surfacing during that time.

Back in 2014, in an interview with VladTV, Master P recently claimed to have sold as many as 75 million albums during his tenure with No Limit Records. Having gained immense popularity in his musical career, Master P is also the CEO of P. Miller Enterprises. As of 2018, Master P's net worth is roughly $250 million.

Master P and the No Limit Soldiers was the hottest rap group until Cash Money records hit the scene to slow down their record sales. Master P created a hip-hop empire without registering on any mainstream radar. For several years, he operated solely in the rap underground.

Beginning in the early 1990s, the New Orleans native dominated the landscape for much of the decade with a staggering amount of product. Although many associate P with The Big Easy, he established the No Limit brand in Northern California.

Shifting the label to New Orleans, P signed Mystikal, Kane & Abel, Mia-X, the late Soulja Slim and former Death Row artist Snoop Dogg.

It wasn’t all music with Master P, as the mogul’s film company continues to release films independently in DVD format to this day. P has been engaged in several business ventures over the years and the introduction of the digital-only No Limit Forever record entity only solidifies he’s not going anywhere soon.

How much is Master P worth?

While most of Master P's work in the music industry has been behind the scenes in recent years, he's often considered one of the richest rappers, surpassing even Snoop Dogg in his reported net worth.

To understand how Master P became so wealthy, you have to look at his long career, beyond what he's done with music. He founded his first record label, No Limit Records, in 1991, signing big names like Snoop Dogg and Mystikal.

His music group, TRU, then took off that decade, releasing his own music outside of TRU and continuing work for his record label. In that same 10-year span, he also played for two professional basketball teams.
