G-Unit and The LOX. Both are great all-time groups in hip-hop and have had success in their own ways. While I was doing research on 50 Cent and all the people he was beefing with one name really intrigued me and that name was Jadakiss.

Naptown's own Tony Cleveland got one! The banger "G-Unit" sees Tony over a knocker of beat as he weaves rhymes about the hustling life. The lyrics are cinematic and easy to see even without the assistance of the KTK directed video. 

Jimmy Henchman Gets Two Life Sentences

James "Jimmy Henchman" Rosemond was given two life sentences for ordering the murder of Lowell Lodi Mack Fletcher.

Lodi Mack's murder in September of 2009 was the culmination of a violent feud between G-Unit and Game, who was being managed by Jimmy at the time.

Violent incidents during the feud included a shooting in front of Hot 97, the offices of Violator being shot at and Jimmy's teenaged son being beaten up.

Tony Yayo's grandmom's house was also shot up and a mansion 50 Cent owned in Dix Hills was firebombed and burnt to the ground.

Game and 50 Cent put the violent side of the feud to rest in 2005, during a summit in the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture in Harlem.

But on the streets, things never really calmed down between Jimmy and G-Unit, and Lodi Mack was gunned down in 2009.

Yesterday (November 8), Jimmy was formally sentenced to two life sentences for orchestrating the hit on Lodi Mack.

He addresses his trial, the accusations, and his murder conviction.

"This is America! I want to apologize to my family and my support system," Jimmy Henchman told Sources. "Most importantly, to my son; When I asked you to intern as a 14 yr old at my office it was because I wanted you to see your father working and have a strong role model.

I wanted you to look up to brown and black people in boardrooms rather than in the streets. I was proud of the work I was doing. I never thought when I sent you on that errand, you would be surrounded and assaulted by 50 cent and four G-Unit grown men with guns for wearing a T-shirt.

My son I want you to know today - you did nothing wrong by coming to me and letting me know what happened to you. Any child that is under age should let their parents know if they are assaulted.

Sleep with a sound conscious knowing your father is not a murderer and you are not the blame for my incarceration. This is bigger than me or you. I to am a casualty.

When a trial isn’t about fact-finding to elicit the truth and condemn the guilty then it’s not about justice. My trial was about grabbing a headline and building a prosecutors personal career.

After three trials for this murder not one of the governments embellishing witnesses said that I told them to murder Lowell Fletcher; in fact, Brian McCleod, Khalil Abdullah and Jason Williams respectively stated they never had a conversation about the murder.

But even that consistent testimony would not deter credulous prosecutors from repeatedly trying this case.

Even after being phone tapped by a mendacious witness Muhammad Stewart for 2 years there was no evidence of a plot, conspiracy or “intent” (or mens rea) to commit murder for hire as charged.

I continue to maintain my innocence.

There is a sickness in this system. My trial was covered up and drown out with unrelated shootings, hip hop gang fairy tales and non-existing “rap wars” that never existed.

For any Black man being painted into that fantasy thug culture is a lethal concoction for a conviction and the prosecutors knew this. The prevalence of this injustice has sprung up grass root organizations to tackle systematic racism in the criminal justice system. Which result in mass incarceration and wrongful convictions disproportionately affecting black and brown people.

Ike Breeze Goes to "Tampa Bay" with Snoop Dogg

The Hip-Hop art form is a blank canvas of potential. It’s up to the artist to draw inspiration from the world around them. As the paint begins to dry, creativity will start to take shape. Now it’s time to share your masterpiece with the world. 

BMT Music Group recording artist, Ike Breeze, is a talented rapper from Tampa Bay, Florida. His mother was a gospel singer/pianist, while his father was a member of the Grambling University band. Coming from a line of musicians made his introduction to music inevitable. He began writing poetry which eventually led to penning down rap lyrics. As the years passed, he focused his talent on creating music with the sole purpose of impacting the culture.

His latest single, titled “Tampa Bay,” features Hollywood and legendary Hip-Hop icon Snoop Dogg. The collaborative effort highlights each artist and what they bring to the table. 50 Cent To Produce Two New T.V. Drama Series

Rapper, actor and producer 50 Cent isn't stopping. He has connected with Sony Pictures Television’s streaming network Crackle to executive produce two crime-themed drama series.

"Curtis, G-Unit Film & Television Inc., Storied Media Group and Joe Halpin are the perfect team to take this extraordinarily fast-paced and complex narrative to Crackle's passionate and engaged audience. This is the kind of unexpected storytelling that our viewers have come to expect and we look forward to breaking new ground with this new original drama,” said Eric Berger, Crackle’s GM and EVP Digital at Sony Pictures Television Networks.

In addition to "The Oath", 50 Cent will also executive produce an hour-long original drama series “RPM” (working title). Written by Leo Sardarian, the crime drama is set in the working-class streets of Boston’s most corrupt neighborhoods following a used-car salesman who starts moonlighting as a getaway driver for a crime syndicate. "RPM" is produced by Adam Riback, Nick Phillips and Kelly Wagner.

Dj Kay Slay - "Danger" ft. Young Buck, Uncle Murda, Don Q, Trick Trick and Tony Yayo (video)

One of Hip-Hop culture's most celebrated DJ's of all time, DJ Kay Slay, is dropping another full-length project, Hip-Hop Front Line, and has just blessed us with a visual from the LP. "Danger" is a 7-plus minute banger featuring a who's who of dope emcees. Young Buck, Uncle Murda, Don Q, Trick Trick, and Tony Yayo all show up to add their' very own style of grittiness to the cut. When the track starts you hear Young Buck shouting out G-Unit which is odd timing considering the beef and legal issues that have stirred up this week between Buck and former label boss 50 Cent. Young Buck Possibly Facing Jail Time

G-Unit rapper, Young Buck, is set to appear in court on Thursday (May 5) to answer for a couple of parole violations he has incurred over the past several weeks.  Buck's parole officer was forced to come before a judge last Friday (April 29), in order to bring the judge up to speed on a moving violation the rapper was stopped for on Monday, April 25.  The terms of his release require that Buck immediately inform his P.O. whenever arrested or questioned by law enforcement; an action that his officer reports did not take place.  The Cashville Records head is expected to defend why the infractions should not consequently result in prison time.

The 35-year-old, born David Darnell Brown, may face a challenge, as the traffic fumble was his second offense in as many months.  A March 18th filing by the prosecution alleged that he was recorded making death threats via text message exchange with the fiance of his child's mother.  According to the report, Buck was responding to a perceived insult by the fiance, who supposedly challenged his integrity as a father for failing to make child support payments.  The messages have Buck threatening that he will 'slap the s*** out of' him, and demanding he give up his location so that he could go and 'f*** [him] up.'  Buck suspected at the time that the messages on the fiance's end might have been made in the presence or with the knowledge of a lawyer, telling his P.O. that at one point the man told him it was being read by the District Attorney.

A decision against the rapper on Thursday could land him back behind bars for as many as 14 months.

Young Buck has been on probation since October of 2013, when he was released after serving 18 months on gun charges stemming from a 2010 raid. He got himself into trouble when in 2014 he was first confronted with the repercussion of violating parole, as he was found to have lied to his P.O. about using fake urine during a drug test.  He would subsequently reach a plea deal ordering him to give 100 hours of community service, spend 30 days at a treatment center followed by a 90 day stint at a correction center, then comply with the 18 months of probation he has recently struggled to complete.

Gansta Marcus Talks The Return Of Young Buck

The Nashville rapper +Young Buck has reunited with +G Unit Records and is making a big sceen if we tell it. When Buck first came out, he was something to that was hard to stop in the rap industry. +50 Cent decision to bring Buck back on to the group was a major move.

Now Buck got his new mixtape out titled "10 Bullets". David Darnell Brown, also known as Young Buck, is an American rapper, actor, entrepreneur, and producer. Buck is a former member of the hip hop group UTP Playas.

Lloyd Banks Announces Retirement

G-Unit staple Lloyd Banks gave hip hop some incredible moments since his arrival with 50 Cent. Now, the rapper has taken to Twitter to announce he is stepping away from the microphone.

What Happened to DTP Records?

 

Ludacris has fallen off as an elite emcee. There was a time when DTP was an absolutely legitimate force.

In addition to multi-mutli platinum albums from the head honcho himself, DTP had released Chingy's platinum album, "Jackpot" and many more such as Playaz Circle and Bobby Valentino.

Tony Yayo Talks Prodigy Saying He Visited 50 Cent in Hospital

 

Tony Yayo was asked to confirm late Mobb Deep member Prodigy's story about visiting 50 Cent in the hospital, along with E-Money Bags, after the G-Unit was shot. Tony Yayo couldn't confirm the story but believed it due to how close 50 was with E-Money Bags.
