Taco Bell Hires Their 1st Black CEO

 


Taco Bell, a subsidiary of Yum! Brands and one of America's most 4th highest-grossing fast-food chains recently tabbed Sean Tresvant as their new CEO. The Portland, Oregon, native will assume the role on January 1, 2024. Thus, making him the first African American to hold the position. 


Founded by Glen Bell in San Bernardino, California, nearly six decades ago, Taco Bell has evolved from a taco stand to a franchise with over 7,000 locations worldwide. Sean Tresvant will replace Mark King who is transitioning into retirement after serving in the role for a duration of four years. When Tresvant's new tenure as CEO commences, he will work under the umbrella of David Gibbs, the CEO of Yum! Brands.
