Will Judge Allow Joycelyn Savage and R. Kelly to Get Married?

Jocelyn Savage, who is R. Kelly's long-time girlfriend, wrote a letter to the judge before he was sentenced on June 29 to ask for leniency for the embattled entertainer, as well as deny allegations that she is a victim of Kelly's. In the letter, Savage also claimed that she and Kelly are engaged.

All Hip Hop obtained court documents, where Savage told the judge, "My name is Joycelyn Savage, I am Robert Kelly's fiancée." Savage added that she is "not the victim" the government portrayed her to be in a letter to Judge Ann Donnelly.

In the letter, Joycelyn continued, stating, "My relationship with Robert is amazing. He’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me. We have a very special connection and are deeply in love. I still support Robert to this day because I love him and will always be here to support him."

She added, "Robert is not the monster that the government has described him to be. The Robert I know is very sweet, gentle, and kind. At the end of the day, he has always made sure that I’m taken care of and any other women he was with as well."

Gerald Griggs, an attorney for Joycelyn's family, told TMZ that Savage's family "strongly doubts" that she and Kelly are engaged. They state that Joycelyn didn't reveal her engagement to them, although she has been estranged from her family since being with Kelly.

Savage sat down for an interview with Gayle King in 2019, alongside Azriel Clary, which went viral. During the interview, Savage stated that her parents lied about Kelly being a predator and an abuser, as she told King, "Both our parents are basically out here trying to get money and scam, because they didn't agree on what happened, you know, with music or whatever it could be. And they're just very upset."

Azriel Clary later came forward following the interview to claim she was abused by Kelly, and she testified against him during his federal trial in 2021. Clary sat down with Gayle King again after testifying, where she stated, "It was very disturbing to have to relive those moments. A piece of me was happy because I felt like this person no longer has control over me, you know? You don't tell me what to do and what to wear and where to go and how long to be in a room anymore."

Kelly was found guilty in federal court of racketeering and sex trafficking, and he was sentenced to 30 years in prison.

I don't feel he did all that they're claim he did..So where down the line some of the parents should be charge because how can you not have any type of control,or whereabouts of where you underage daughters are at..They never charge Hugh Hefner for all the underage girl he had..Leave R Kelly along and put more time in worrying about the USA and all the homeless veterans, and other stuff we got going on
