Beyoncé Now Helping Black-Owned Businesses

The star has teamed up with the NAACP to found the Black-Owned Small Business Impact Fund.

Beyoncé has launched a new fund to give Black-owned businesses grants through her BeyGOOD foundation.

The fund has been started in collaboration with the National Association For The Advancement Of Colored People (NAACP).

The Black-Owned Small Business Impact Fund will provide grants of $10,000 (£7,923) for business owners “in select cities to help sustain business during this time”.

“Over the last couple of months, the pandemic and outpours for justice throughout the Black community and across the country has been felt in every imaginable area of our lives, including in how our local businesses continue to operate.”

“The challenges of Black business owners navigating in the climate cannot be understated, as the effects of uprisings across the nation have led to many businesses being placed in dire straits due to damages and other small business needs.”

To qualify for the grants, you must be a Black small business owner living in Houston, Atlanta, New York, Los Angeles or Minneapolis, and be able to provide a property damage or replacement estimate. Submissions will be accepted until July 18 and will be reviewed between July 20-29.

Those who have been selected to receive a grant will be notified on July 31 via Beyonce.com.

Beyoncé launched the BeyGOOD foundation in 2013 “to inspire people to be kind, to be charitable and to #BeyGood to themselves, to others, to the community, and to our world”.

In April, the star donated $6million (£4.8m) to coronavirus relief efforts through the foundation and a partnership with Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey’s #startsmall initiative. The money was used to help communities of color and organizations within them as the coronavirus pandemic spread across the US.

Justice for Marcus Flowers
My fiance is incarcerated on a homicide that he didn't commit.the state witness changed his story multiple times before trial.also the state used 2 different DNA labs with the first one being negative which was the state crime lab(best in state) they wasn't satisfied with that so they sent it to a private laboratory which they said positive with my fiance DNA and a unknown person DNA.a 3rd lab will prove his innocence which haven't been done yet. He has been incarcerated for the past 11 years a innocent man sitting behind bars that long is ridiculous Also the state witness recanted his story again after trial and wrote my fiance attorney stating that the police in charge made him say it was my fiance that came out the bushes with a ski mask on and called the deceased name.if you read his trial transcript you will see how he was railroaded.this case is strictly dealing with his past because they wanted him off the streets.he was a changed man before this charge but they wanted him bad. He sent his case to the New York Innocent Project back in 2013 and we haven't heard anything please help us
