Apple Introduces New Spatial Audio and Automatic Switching


Apple has quietly continued to improve upon the AirPods Pro with firmware updates that have tweaked their noise cancellation and sound quality. The company rarely details or comments on the changes that come in each release of AirPods firmware; there are no update notes that spell out what’s new.


But last month, the AirPods Pro picked up a pair of new features that Apple did announce: spatial audio and automatic switching. Automatic switching is the simpler one, and it’ll probably make a bigger difference to your day-to-day use of the AirPods Pro.


Without you having to do anything, the AirPods will automatically switch between your iPhone, iPad, and Mac whenever you start using one of them. This handoff is nearly instantaneous; you can be listening to music on your phone, pause it, pick up your iPad and start playing a video, and the AirPods will be ready for that audio.

Could Airpods And Other Wireless Headphones Pose Cancer Risk


Those who use wireless headphones such as Apple AirPods are being warned of possible cancer risks due to the Bluetooth technology.

By now, you've seen the alarmist headlines claiming that wireless headsets, like Apple AirPods, could potentially cause cancer. But does this "news" mean you should ditch those beloved bluetooth headphones for old school ear buds?

“My concern for AirPods is that their placement in the ear canal exposes tissues in the head to relatively high levels of radio-frequency radiation,” he said. Phillips told the website that risks include abnormal cell functioning, which may cause tumors or other health conditions.

Although most experts agree that there is no safe level of radiation, it's simply not possible to avoid exposure. That's because radiation is in our food, plants, airplane travel, and even the sun. The bigger question, then, is how much do you willingly want to expose yourself to radiation?

The New 2020 iPad Pro


Apple introduced the updated iPad Pro models with A12Z Bionic chips, dual camera setups, a new LiDAR Scanner for augmented reality, and a new Magic Keyboard accessory that adds a trackpad to the ‌iPad Pro‌ for the first time.

Based on code in iOS 13.4, there are also a couple other ‌iPad Pro‌ features that have remained hidden. According to 9to5Mac, the new ‌iPad Pro‌ models all feature 6GB RAM and include Apple's Ultra Wideband chips.
