I'm not big on games, I mostly prefer computers myself, but PlayStation has always been my favorite. Across all platforms, men favor the strategy, sports, action adventure, and shooter categories. In comparison, women enjoy a broader genre of games, including puzzle, simulation, and arcade.
Additionally, the favored franchise on each platform is the same: Candy Crush Saga on mobile, Call of Duty on console, and World of Warcraft on PC. PC gamers will spend considerably more on their hobby, with peripherals and even ergonomic gaming chairs. Their library of games is likely to be more, with TB of storage readily available.
There is no denying that contemporary gaming consoles offer stunning graphics and effects. If you were born after 2000, you probably take the superior game quality for granted. However, at the dawn of the video game console development things were pretty different.
